Hi all! Sorry I haven't been posting (not that anyone has noticed) but i have been reading and watching and I am right with you. @Olivia R I wondered if you can tell us what your eating in your meals as you should be more regular I would think. I know I am. Maybe we could offer some suggestions. Could it be water consumption? @KTH1010 I too am over it. My birthday is coming up and though I said I would be compliant, I just really want non compliant food for my special day as we usually go out for an expensive meal that we cannot usually afford on any regular day. Yes it is only 4 days to wait but I feel like acting like a little girl stamping her feet that we cant celebrate ON MY BIRTHDAY...(stamps feet). On a lighter note, my pants are actually looser and looking in the mirror today I could swear my face looks skinnier. I never did weigh myself as the battery in my scale was dead and by the time I purchased the batteries it was day 3 and decided I better not. So take that NSV! I am so happy to see so many of us still hanging in here and still on track thought frustrated. Keep on keepin' on!

Yesterday was TERRIBLE! and I so wanted to give up. Started my day with a nightmare about my son being in danger and there was nothing I could do about it and the day just got worse. I was so grumpy and no one could do or say anything to make me less grumpy. HOWEVER! I MADE IT! But then last night I had a dream that I was trying to convince myself to just drop Whole30 and eat non-compliant foods. When I woke up I was so happy it was a dream. Today, I just felt blah and kind of numb. But reading my Day by Day book eased my mind. I am not ready to quit and I am not ready to give up. I will keep on keepin' on.

Day 7! Hey I am noticing that it seems some of our accountability partners are fading into the distance. How is everyone doing? Six days late I purchased "Whole30 Day by Day" and wow is it accurate. On day 7 it says that we feel accomplished after a whole week yet perhaps a little anxious and maybe wanting to check the scale to see if indeed anything is happening. Of course we don't want to do that now do we? Also it says that we may not notice any changes yet and are feeling discouraged. Anyone feeling this way? Melissa goes on to say this is normal as it is set in our head from previous dieting. That for a diet to work we must restrict ourselves, be hungry and put our will power to the test daily. But with Whole30 it just isn't that way. She encourages us to not give in to the anxiety and instead, today is a day to feel hopeful and trust the process.

Well yesterday I felt great and today I have THE HEADACHE! Why on day 6? Hubby made a lovely breakfast this morning, sweet potato hash with an egg on top and a half avocado. YUM! We are going out to run errands today which usually means we will eat out and I am a little worried I must admit. I know I will manage but in all reality I am concerned about not getting enough food at a restaurant for my lunch. We shall see. Happy day 6 everyone!

Please don't give up. This will pass trust me. Just think of it this way, The reason the book talks about those first week issues is because they are real, and many of us are going through the same thing. I hope the scale moves for you but just keep in mind that if it does not you WILL feel so much better cleaning your body of the stuff it was never meant for in the first place. You are learning a better way to eat and even if you never do Whole30 again (which I hope you will) I bet you will pay a little more attention to labels. I can't believe no one responded in an hour. I sure do hope I caught ya in time. HUGS and hang in there!

@Lew Your experience is sure inspiring, thank you for sharing! @Olivia R I was totally the same on my last whole30. At first i loved the big portions and then I felt so full and so sick of them. Just remember we are not snacking in between and the food we are eating has to sustain us through to the next meal. I am glad you added avocado and more glad that it helped you feel full. @LiLoVing Is there something specific that your looking for in a buddy? @tallteenbigheart I feel great and you shouldn't worry about not having the ickies! It probably means you didn't eat too terrible or your body just recovers well. I too feel great aside from my cold. I cant believe it's day 5! i actually thought it was only day 4. lol Anyway the only issue I have is I work with a developmentally disabled adult and every time we go out he wants fast food. This could be harder for me if I didn't give up fast food over a year go but every time he is in my car with french fries I just about DIE. It's ok though, I am pushing on. So for Breakfast I am repetitious and have 3 eggs over medium, cooked in coconut oil and a huge hand full of spinach on top. I then have a half an avocado. Sometime i I scramble them and add mushrooms and tomatoes and put the avocado on top. For lunch I tend to have a salad with an egg or left over meat from the night before. Dinner tonight was one of my favorite things and my family loves it too so want to share with you all. Stir fry. Ground turkey, carrots and green beans, onion, red bell pepper, garlic, scrambled egg and cauliflower rice. I use coco aminos and it is soooo sooo YUM! Everyone is doing so awesome. I still hate that I cant reply to everyone individually though I understand the stream would be so long if it did. I just would love to reply to everyone and well, i had a different idea of accountability buddies but you are all still keeping me motivated which I dont know if i could do without you all.

Good morning everybody and welcome to day 3!!! I am so sorry I have not been posting but I am on track and doing well despite this dumb cold! I have also been following and so proud of us all and so happy once again to have you all because I need you! Olivia, Are you eating fat such as avocado or olives with your meals? I have experienced this on my first round back in October and of course last night I forgot my fat and also woke up feeling oh so hungry. Well My scale has a dead battery and I couldnt weigh myself at all, which might not be a bad thing. Also due to being sick I didnt shop ahead of time but being as I am already Gluten Free i was able to wing it. Congratulations to everyone for keepin' on. Remember, we are here for you to the end and more!

WriteHand......The pizza place is Blaze Pizza on 120th and Sheridan (East of Sheridan) in Broomfield not too far from Boulder and there may even be one in Boulder. Sorry everyone for not being active the last few days. I am currently way under the weather but am still on track and will start tomorrow for sure. I don't have much of an appetite so if anything the first day will just be small portions. I know that's not perfect but I will still eat only compliant items and as soon as im feeling better jump right in. I am thinking soup for the next 5 days. lol Good luck everyone and I am still so excited to follow along with you all and looking forward to all my new accountability partners!

Sunshine, Sassy78, AlysshaG, amychica99, CrazyCookie, bmc2, Nikki, writehandmaam I am so glad you all responded to my post as I think accountability partners can be very important. I know I need them. I wish there was a way to respond individually. Maybe there is and I just cant figure it out. I cant wait for us all to start ans looking forward to helping each other with the ups and downs. WriteHandMaam, I am also in Colorado not far from Boulder and when we are done with our first phase (or before we start) there is a great pizza place with Gluten Free dough and vegan cheese!!! I dont like Vegan cheese except on this pizza. That's all I am going to say about that now as i don't want to tempt you all too much. Anyway, its not so bad. I have been Gluten free over a year now and Dairy free for about 3 months.

YAY! I am so glad others need accountability partners! I do have a birthday on the 26th but I already know I can eat at Texas de Brazil and i see no need to eat off plan for that day right now. I hope I can stick to that feeling but I think with all of you at my side I can do it! I hope I can be there for you as well! Hubby and I are also buying an elliptical machine with a goal of working out at the same time every night so this should help get us off the couch!

Crazy Cookie I think sugar is every ones weakness! It is also the hardest thing for me to read labels and make sure there is no sugar! All the secret words they sneak into ingredients now are such B.S.! I recently saw carrageenan added in chicken! CHICKEN? REALLY!?! You can say no to sugar! I know you can! I am so glad you responded and so excited for us to be there for one another!

Oh Sunshine! Just your name makes me smile as it is 9F here in beautiful (also frozen) Colorado, and I am super happy to have 1 reply! I too tried another round a couple times after my first and failed only to give up completely (usually it's the cookies fault). The only reason I made it only to day 28 my first time around was my son, who i wasn't going to see for 10 days wanted to go to our favorite pizza place together. Who could say no to that? Well this time around Whole 30 is not so new to him and he is getting used to me just saying no and I am ready to go. I even have hubby on board as far as no more Gluten free pastries! He wont do Whole30 with me 100% but he will be pretty close to it thank heavens! I have eggs and spinach and avocados and black olives as well as some store bought whole30 approved mayo and meal plans for the first week. Look at us prep! woohoo! Now I am actually excited for Jaunuary 1st! Let's do this!
  15. Hi there! I did a round 1 pretty much alone and made it to 28 days! I KNOW RIGHT!!?! Anyway, I truly am a person that just does not do well doing going at things alone and hoping to find someone else looking for accountability partners. I do eat fairly healthy...Gluten and dairy free and no artificial sweeteners. Unfortunately they make FABULOUS gluten, dairy and artificial sweetener free cookies and muffins and YUMMY stuff and well I am just gaining weight and it needs to stop. 2018 is the year of eating even better and getting off the couch! Will you do this with me?
