    (R4D21) 9 more days! My husband and I sat here and said that same thing. But then, I said, “9 more days until what?” What is it that we can’t wait for, that we can get in 9 Days? Are we excited to go back to feeling lethargic and sick? Fat and bloated? Foggy and fragile? No. So, we have to sort out what our plan is after 9 days. Put it in writing (like one other Whole30-er did.) and REMEMBER why we took the plunge in the first place. When I don’t mind doing dishes at 9:00pm, and I’ve even got energy for more after that I know I am on the right track!

    Fry your eggs on a very low heat. Let the pan heat up to the LOW heat. Put your ghee/oil in the pan and let it melt. Put your eggs into the pan and let them fry slowly. Don’t be afraid to add a little extra oil and just let them simmer. When it’s time to flip, they will come right up.

    The only book I have ever bought was the original ISWF. That was like 5 years ago. Everything else you need is online. There are SO many resources online! This morning, I googled, “Can I have bean sprouts on a whole 30?” And I found yet another awesome resource. You do not need to buy every book.

    Tonight I made this Pecan crusted salmon, but replaced the pecans with almonds. I made a lemon dill sauce to go with it (with home made mayo as the base.) It was delish! https://www.texanerin.com/paleo-pecan-crusted-salmon/

    I also had black coffee after a day at work. Needed the cold weather comfort after not eatibg garbage all day like I have been! Ha! breakfast: just 2 HB eggs snack: handful of almonds (I know there are better nuts but this is what I have!) lunch: stuffed acorn squash/cucumber slices dinner: grass fed burger, bok choy, mushrooms, baked sweet potatoes, avocado slice (dinner was a bit large, but it was healthy so I didn’t care.) i consider it a great start! So....fruit later in the day is not good? On my first few w30s I would have diced banana, frozen blueberries in coconut milk for dessert. Not good?

    The best part is looking forward to feeling well again. I have brain fog, my skin is broken out from red wine, and I'm just tired. The feeling a few weeks into a W30 is amazing...and 30 days in? Even better. That is what I am looking forward to. The weight loss is also welcome. Good luck to everyone! By the way, I like the daily emails they used to send. Do they still do that? I think I actually saved them, so I'll post daily here for all to see.

    Thanks, Becky.....as we speak I am having "one last" as I prep cook for the next 30 days. This is my 4th W30 and I know it can be done! Distraction is a great method - thank you! This is a great time to begin that hobby of learning to play piano, I've been wanting to do! 2018 - to a better us!

    Mom of Three...you can do this! It seems daunting because it goes against every habit that we have gotten into, but this is just making new habits. Good habits! Finish the 30 days -- it's such a short amount of time in the big scheme of life! You got this....use this forum when you need some help and support!

    I keep cooked spices and diced sweet potatoes on hand. A handful of spinach and an egg on top makes a wonderful breakfast!

    Sounds like something I read in “It Starts with Food.” A great book about why the Whole 30 omits certain foods like dairy and legumes.....and of course, alcohol. I read it each time I start another W30!
