    Hello Everyone! Well, today was day 5, and I am feeling pretty darn good! I had the "sugar headache" on day 2, 3, and a bit on 4...but today....no headache! I feel like I have energy, but I am sleepy at the same time. On the positive side, I suffer from IBS and acid reflux. I was dealing with heartburn everyday, and my IBS usually flared every 2nd or 3rd day. Since I started Whole30.....no heartburn and no IBS symptoms.....This is amazing!!!! I am doing well with the meals....but struggle a bit with getting enough veggies in for breakfast. Overall....a pretty successful 5 days!!

    It seems as though we have a lot in common....lol! I am also at a weight far higher than I would like and have various health issues. I totally get the "feeling terrible in my own skin" thing!! I am also in my early 50's (51). We can do this, we will do this!!

    Hi! Thanks so much for the advice. I actually just bought a few pre-cut veggies at Trader Joe's! I definitely need to get in the habit of prepping on the weekend!! I can do this!!!!

    Pressure Cooker/Instant Pots

    Hello Everyone, I am starting my very first Whole 30 on January 1! I am very excited...but feeling a little overwhelmed. I love the idea of an electric pressure cooker. I get home late in the day, and being able to cook a quick, healthy meal is very appealing to me. I was hoping that I could get some advice as to what brand of instant pots you all are using. Thanks!!

    @kirbz Thanks for the advice!! I will check out It Starts With Food as well as the other cookbooks. I do like my food to be flavorful!

    Thanks so much for the advice. I have been looking at the books and trying to decide if I need them or if I can go off of the info online. I did buy "The Whole 30" and am reading it now. I also am looking into an Insta Pot. I am really looking forward to cooking and eating real food....I just know myself, and how unmotivated I can be at the end of a day!

    Hi! I will be starting my very first Whole30 on January 1st. I have been eating really badly for a long time. I struggle with sensitive/itchy skin, fatigue, muscle aches, etc. I am looking forward to eating well, and feeling better. My biggest concern is the meal prep and how much time that will take. I work full time and usually find that I am totally unmotivated to cook when I get home from work. That will be my biggest hurdle.....any advice is greatly appreciated! Janice
