    Good for you! That sounds like my weekend coming up. Going to my nieces wedding! We are staying with friends so I will have access to her kitchen. I'm planning on making extra food this week so I can take some prepared meals but I know we will be eating out some too. When I started Whole30 on the 2nd, I thought I might just do a Whole27 so that I didn't have to be restricted at the wedding. But now that it's close and I have the hang of the program, I am thinking if at all possible with the meal at the wedding I will be compliant!

    @lagunarover Good for you for going to book club!! I skipped a wine club dinner last weekend because I just didn't feel like being around all the wine!!! But this weekend we have a different event that I will go to. We each bring a dish, so I'm looking for something to take that will fill me up if that's all I can eat. I"m going to look at a Shepherd's Pie recipe. I too haven't felt like my clothes are looser or anything, but I am really enjoying the food and can see myself doing Whole30 to some degree for longer than 30 days. Maybe it is because we are over 50 that it's taking a bit longer to see results, but I do feel better and have a more energy so here are some NSV's to celebrate!

    @LagunaRover I like the idea of tracking my sleep. I usually go to bed around 10:30. When I wake up at 3 am it's not necessarily because I have to go to the bathroom, but I might make more of a conscious effort to stop drinking water earlier. I'm not wide awake and ready to get up then. I usually toss and turn until I fall back to sleep. One interesting thing is that the past few nights I've gone to bed around midnight one night I slept until 6 am. So maybe I don't need as much sleep as I used to? Thanks for the advice!

    Happy day 10 everyone! I really love reading everyone's posts. All the recipes, ideas and motivation are really helpful. My biggest "craving" has been to step on a scale!! This is really strange as typically I only step on a scale about once a month... Anyway, I hadn't put the scale away since I really don't use it, but I had to yesterday because everytime I walked by it I was so tempted to step on it. Also, I'm curious if there are any other women over 50 out there. I'm asking because one of the things I was hoping to see a difference in is my sleeping. I don't know if I am still waking up at night just because of my age or if I need to wait a bit longer to see an improvement in that area. I do think the quality of my sleep is better but I hate waking up at 3 am every night

    Today I had to go to a restaurant for lunch with my husband for a business meeting. I was a little nervous when he scheduled it earlier this week, but I have a sister-in-law with a lot of food allergies so I know most restaurants will work with you. I looked at the menu online and figured a grilled chicken salad was the safest way to go. I asked what they put on their grilled chicken and all the server knew was a seasoning blend. Since I'm reading labels now and see how many things have sugar on the list of ingredients I was worried about their blend so I just asked for salt and pepper. No problem! I was so glad to get this potential obstacle out of the way! Next hurdle will be next weekend's wine club dinner - my plan is to bring my favorite lacroix and a shared dish that I know I can eat. I really am loving the food on whole30! Tonight I'm making the chicken piccata https://www.noshtastic.com/easy-chicken-piccata/. Looks delicious!

    @SugarcubeOD Are there certain Califia creamers that meet the Whole30 guidelines? It looks ike I can buy those here in town but I haven't been able to find Nutpods except online.

    Hello! I'm going to start my first Whole30 on the 2nd as well. I'm excited to see if I notice a difference in some joint pain I've been having this past year. I've never had to really "diet" before so I'm nervous about sticking to these parameters. Also, I have a huge sweet tooth - yikes!! Glad to have you all on the journey with me
