    Hello from Washington! The same thing happened to me yesterday, I had a recipe I’d tweaked to make compliant, garlic mushroom chicken thighs, my shrooms were slimy and disgusting. Luckily I had a zucchini in my garden so I subbed it. Completed with a green salad with dump ranch, dinner was served. The Hubs loved it!

    I like Food Freedom Forever, but I have the Fast & Easy cookbook, the original Whole 30 and the Day By day. I frequently refer to them all for inspiration. Id love to partner with you for accountability and encouragement.

    I did a W30 in January, stayed compliant till mid August, when I completely fell off the wagon. Eating whatever and drinking alcohol every day. I need a reset, so today is the day!

    Btw, found a corn free baking powder and the wings can out amazing, crispy and flavorful. I’ll never make them any other way again.

    January 2nd Starter's Reintro thread

    I was pretty much over dairy before I started this ride, and the only thing I’ve reintroduce so far has been a little dab of butter. I would like to try cheese as I do appericiate a bite of cheese and salami. I’m more interested in the sulfites in the prepared meats, and wine of course is seeming to be a problem.

    I drank wine on Saturday and it was delicious, however I’m not sure it was worth the pain I woke up in and am still having 3 days later. Everything else is going well, so it’s either sulfites or just generally alcohol, either way in back to 100% compliant too.

    My intro is going really well, with the exception of being down with this stupid cold. I’ve tried butter and a piece of cheese, so good. I had a couple corn chips in Super Bowl all good. Then I drank wine, omg not sure if it’s the sulfites or alcohol in general but I woke up in serious pain, shoulder, hip, foot, the entire right side of my body. Now I’m terrified as we are taking a 2 week road trip with our good friends to Vegas abs Mexico and it’ll there will be daily drinking. I’m pretty sure I can fake it with iced tea and club soda most of the, but I’m gonna want margaritas in Mexico. I plan to remain compliant, for the most part, until we leave so I should be feeling good when we start out. Then when we get home, another round starting March 5th. The experiment continues. Glad I found this thread, hope your all doing well with your re-intro.

    Starting January 2!

    Is anyone doing another round? I’m planning to start another on March 5 after we get back from a 14 day road trip to Mexico. Wondering which forum topic to follow? I met my goal weight loss of 8 pounds, which seem to be an average, and that coupled with a bunch of NSV makes me even more determined to do another. My sugar dragon’s name is alcohol and while I’m not thinking I am an alcoholic I do feel like my body is telling me it’s an inflamitory and needs more work training it. Thanks for all the support this forum has given to everyone, it’s been a lot of fun and I’ve learned so much. Hope to catch up with one or all as I journey.

    @WholeCourtney thanks for the recipes, I'm looking forward to trying them on my cheese and salami loving guests. It's actually baking powder that has corn starch, and I was able to find one on Amazon, it was pricy, but compliant. I now can make my husband his buffalo wings:)

    My best friend just asked me to host her husbands birthday at my house, our home is huge and built for entertaining, we live in a resort community and her place is an RV, so I said yes, of course, it's his 60th. I think I can pull this off tho, with just a few adjustment. I'll need to do the cooking of course, and make lots of tasty things that are compliant for the hubs and I, along with everyone bringing something to share. My question....my husband wants buffalo wings and I found a recipe for them that uses arrowroot instead of baking powder, which has cornstarch as a filler, is arrowroot compliant? Or has anyone used the Hain Pure Foods baking powder? It has monocalcium phosphate, potato starch and potassium bicarbonate as the ingredients, which are compliant, but its $9 a can from Amazon, yikes!!! Also I would appreciate any appetizer ideas you guys may have, wish me luck:)
