    These last two weeks I had dreams that I ate food I wasn't supposed to and ruined my 30 day journey. It felt so real that I woke up panicked! They weren't lying when they said you might dream about food

    Happy Day 30 Everyone! I haven't been commenting a lot, but I have been reading this every day and it has been a great support for me.  This is my second W30 and I'm feeling really good.  I'm going to reintroduce dairy first (I miss milk in my black tea!), but after that I'm not sure.  I haven't really been missing grains or legumes, but we are in a Supper Club with a couple of other families and those items often show up when it's not our turn to host so I will probably reintroduce those next.  I think I'm going to continue eating mostly paleo, but include dairy from time to time.  When I reintroduced it after my first W30 I didn't notice any ill effects so fingers crossed.  :-)

    I rescheduled my doctor's appointment for my 6 month check up so I don't have to get weighed 
    I can't believe we're entering our last week! I've definitely seen a difference in myself, and there will definitely be some permeant changes that come from this.

    Hard to believe we are less than a week away from being done!  I am getting excited for the re-introduction phase of the program to see if I can identify any foods problematic to me.  Before W30 I had bad eczema and mild asthma that was acting up at night - both seem to have gone away, so it will be interesting to pin point what might be triggering these issues.  I was/am wanting to extend beyond the 30 days, but am worried that if I do, once I reach the end I won't be as willing to watch foods that I am re-introducing.  So, instead, my plan is to do a fast-track re-introduction for the first part of February and then do another round - hopefully a W45 to take me to April!  My goal is that by the end of this second round I will be confident enough to go "off the program" and enjoy Food Freedom.  
    We usually try to get groceries once per week, so for our grocery list this week, I am getting some legumes to reintroduce on day 31 - plan on testing peanuts, peas, and beans!  So crazy to me, to be thinking about this already!!
    This past weeks dinners included W30 compliant stew, salmon served with an avocado/jalapeno dressing accompanied by roasted veggies, pesto baked chicken with zucchini noodles, "egg-roll" in a bowl - essentially just a stirfry with ground meat and sauteed veggies (cabbage, carrots, peppers, celery, ginger, garlic, onion, cilantro) mixed with coconut aminos.  Tonight we are doing "W30 Sloppy Joe Bowls" served with salad that I will top with a homemade mayo-based dressing.

    I have struggled with anxiety all my life and I really notice a difference with that! I don't feel nearly as anxious about things in my everyday life. it's still there, and it always will be unfortunately, but it's not nearly as bad as it was before starting this, and I've had zero anxiety attacks, so for me that's a huge success! I think the tiger blood is starting a bit slow for me, but I think today it started because I feel a difference. I'm feeling cheerier and really productive at work this week. At the start of this I wasn't finding everyone around me all that funny, but I feel like I have my humor back! All in all, this week has been good

    I think the tiger blood has hit!  If that is what prompted me to get into high gear and make "perfect burgers" last night, then roast spaghetti squash and sweet potatoes; and while those were roasting, making the downright SCRUMPTIOUS mashed cauliflower!  Went to bed a little later than usual; slept till 5 and took the dog for a power walk/jog.  It felt SO GOOD!
    Also - confession/confusion time - I am not sure how it is I fit into those jeans, b/c my other clothes still just slightly less snug, and other smaller things aren't really fitting yet.  I must have stretched them out so much last time I tried to get into them  ... and with less bloat I was able to zip them up.  Who knows?  It's baffling to me - but I don't care - I feel SO GOOD!   I know I am walking taller.  I feel happier.  I find I am being gentler with strangers, too.  I work in SF, and pedestrians and cars alike can be so annoying, but I've been much calmer when getting cut off by a car while in a crosswalk; or when someone with head buried in phone just plain stops right in the middle of the sidewalk... 
    Anyway, I am LOVING the food.  Referring to the W30 book is making me a better cook.  I never looked up how to make a burger before (how hard can it be?), and now, I see what I have been doing wrong!  Day by Day is a great way to track everything and as someone above said, moving that marker to the next page is really satisfying.  I am also thinking of slowly adding back in only wine after the 30 days, bc birthday, and then continuing with W40 through Lent.  I support a team going to trial right after Easter and I am finding this way of eating and behavior modification is totally busting stress issues for me!
    Sorry for the long winded-ness, but I really feel like this challenge is a winner!

    Hi everyone! I am so excited to be 16 days on track! 
    I love moving the bookmark in my Whole30 day by day! I can see how far I've come!
    I am so amazed by the food freedom that I already feel!
    I have been a carb and sugar addict my whole life! I'm 52 and have never had that monkey off my back.
    This is truly amazing! 
    I am still waiting on my tiger blood!

    I came into work this morning to find donuts in our conference room. I had to move them because I was able to see them from my desk. Not today, Dunkin Donuts. Not today! It’s testing my self-control for sure.

    I went to Trader Joe's last night as they were the only store that had almond flour (Whole Foods and our local chain grocery store were out). I decided to pick up some prosciutto. I was looking at the NomNomPaleo IG and she had a receipe for prosciutto egg bites, so I am taking that as a sign. I made slow cooker pot roast and curried chicken thighs yesterday, so I have dinner set for the next few days.

    May I gently ask why less bloated and gassy, newly fitting jeans, tendinitis improved, tendinitis gone, better sleep and improved joint pain are not what you would consider changes?  That sounds friggen amazing to me!
