    Who's starting 1/1?

    Day 4 and feeling great! I completed my 2nd personal training session of the week and made it through! Back to 3 sessions per week next week! 20 burpees 2 sets of 10 = 37.5 lb rows 2 sets of 10 = 37.50 lb weighed squats 2 sets of 10 = 80 lb kettlebell deadlifts 1 minute plank/45 second plank 2 sets of 5 shoulder/ neck band work 2 sets of battle rope waves 2 sets of battle rope slams 2 sets of 10 of 25 lb floor press Planning on making apple cider slow cooker pork butt, bison spaghetti sauce over spaghetti squash., rotisserie chicken, then using the bones for bone broth in the slow cooker to sip in the morning and or evening (since I don't drink coffee!) Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!

    I headed into my personal training today thinking... being on day 3 that I'd really struggle...but to my surprise I was able to complete my full session with some increases in weight! I completed the following.. 20 burpees 2 sets of 10 = 37.5 lb rows 2 sets of 10 = 37.50 lb weighed squats 2 sets of 10 = 80 lb kettlebell deadlifts 1 minute plank/45 second plank 2 sets of 5 shoulder/ neck band work 2 sets of battle rope waves 2 sets of battle rope slams I have the same session tomorrow! DONE!!! By the way I'm 57 years young!!

    Who's starting 1/1?

    Day 3!!! Each day thus far I've had a consistant headache, not a throbbing one... it's just "there". Today and tomorrow I have my personal training sessions, then meal prep on Saturday. Other than the headache I'm doing well. For me to get through each morning/evening I have incorporated the treadmill before breakfast for 45 minutes, I don't bring snack food to work, I'm sticking to just 3 meals a day. I journal my food after each meal, and as a Christmas gift my daughter gave my husband and I each a journal book to fill out about each of our lives thus far as a memoir. I'm enjoying filling out a couple of pages each day and thinking about how my daughter will be sitting reading about her mother and her life later on in her journey through life. This also keeps my mind from wondering to food. Have a wonderful, healthy, safe whole30 day!!

    You are not alone, I too have had a headache for the day, this is day 2 for me of my 2nd W30. I routinely take 2 tylenol in the morning and again if needed fyi...to help keep it manageable...I also made a commitment to wake up before work early enough to get a 45 min treadmill workout in before breakfast, (I've always had insomnia) but with getting up earlier working out, not napping during the day, I'm finding myself to be more tired around 10 to actually fall asleep. Hang in there!

    Congratulations on beginning your first W30!!! As it is hard to think of just 3 meals a day, I have found that I feel fuller longer eating this way. I'm hoping you both will experience the same and not miss those "empty calorie high in between snacks". Best of luck with your hubbies diabetes

    Hi, I'm Dana, this is my 2nd W30. I loved it last time year/Januray and started again today. I woke up at 7, did my treadmill for 45 min. Showered made a W30 breakfast, went to work, came home for my W30 lunch... delicious..now back at work. When I get home I'll probably have a precooked salmon! HAPPY NEW YEAR and take one day at a time!!

    Starting with the New Year on January 1st

    This will be my 2nd whole30 round, I loved it last time and really kept it going for an additional 5 months, then I slowly started introducing other options. I still feel great, but with some recent vacations, and the holidays I want to start again immediately..like today. I'll meal prep this Saturday for my one daughter is doing it again as well! I'm looking forward to getting serious again! I even ordered the whole30 slow cooker recipe book when it was released, I'll definitely be incorporating some new recipes from there! Good luck to everyone!!

    Thank you for the links, I would have been surprised if my trainer was recommending an occasional drink that was a "sugar bomb" when I had just expressed disliking that much sugar. Appreciate the linked info

    Well, my husband and I went out to dinner on the 31st. We went to Bonefish Grill. I ordered Chilean Sea Bass (wood fire grilled) with a dollop of mango salsa and a squeeze of lemon. My sides were steamed broccoli and whipped garlic potatoes (which i didn't order for myself, but for my husband, he ate them - the potatoes that is . I did order my signature lemon drop martini, and guess what?!!.... I could hardly finish it because it was SOOOO SWEET! Having given up sugar, I couldn't believe that I could drink 2-3 before and yet I could hardly finish one! Since I had already set my mind on having 2 drinks, I switched and ordered a moscow mule. Honestly it went down better. . No desserts. So, moving forward I will be giving up my stand by martini, and finding something without sugar I can occasionally enjoy. My personal trainer, said he'd hook me up with a bourbon drink he enjoys to try out.

    I'll be completely honest... I'm not missing, sugar, dairy or wheat, legumes. So unless I have a change in cravings... I'm going to keep eating like this

    Hey everyone! HAPPY WHOLE30!! I loved this past month, I will be keeping much of what I've learned, maybe a 80/20 ratio. But tomorrow night I'm looking forward to going out to bonefish grill, choosing a healthy meal and having a lemon drop martini or two!

    Day 22, and I have confess... I'm ok with the food, my new found food agrees with my suggesting tract, so I'll be sticking with many of the changes. But...I do miss enjoying a couple of Martinis or White Russians! But I will come February 1st enjoy a cocktail ...or 2!
