    Day 4 and feeling great! I completed my 2nd personal training session of the week and made it through!  Back to 3 sessions per week next week! 
    20 burpees
    2 sets of 10 =  37.5 lb rows
    2 sets of 10 = 37.50 lb weighed squats
    2 sets of 10 = 80 lb kettlebell deadlifts
    1 minute plank/45 second plank
    2 sets of 5 shoulder/ neck band work
    2 sets of battle rope waves
    2 sets of battle rope slams
    2 sets of 10 of 25 lb floor  press
    Planning on making apple cider slow cooker pork butt, bison spaghetti sauce over spaghetti squash., rotisserie chicken,  then using the bones for bone broth in the slow cooker to sip in the morning and or evening (since I don't drink coffee!)

    I had a food dream two nights ago that I was at a fancy restaurant and taking forever to order.  I didn't actually order or eat anything in my dream but I kept rereading the ingredient list for bone broth on the menu.  
    In real life, I went to two restaurants yesterday but didn't eat any restaurant food in either.  I went to the first restaurant for lunch with my two kids and a friend and her kid and just ordered coffee.  We were in Big Bear so I had a big insulated bag of food from the trip with me.  I ate hard boiled eggs, almonds and raw veggies.  My friend was slightly embarrassed that I was eating my own food in the restaurant but I didn't care.  Then, last night after I ate a good, filling, compliant dinner at home, I went to meet friends at a restaurant at 8:30 pm.  They ordered & had cocktails, pizza, olives, bread, salad, dessert and coffee.  I told them I already ate, was doing a Whole30 this month and just drank water.  We were at the restaurant until 11:30 pm and the only thing I was truly tempted by were the salad and olives.  All in all a successful day 4!

    I headed into my personal training today thinking... being on day 3 that I'd really struggle...but to my surprise I was able to complete my full session with some increases in weight! I completed the following..
    20 burpees
    2 sets of 10 =  37.5 lb rows

    Day 3!!! Each day thus far I've had a consistant headache, not a throbbing one... it's just "there". Today and tomorrow I have my personal training sessions, then meal prep on Saturday.   Other than the headache I'm doing well.   For me to get through each morning/evening I have incorporated the treadmill before breakfast for 45 minutes,  I don't bring snack food to work, I'm sticking to just 3 meals a day.  I journal my food after each meal,  and as a Christmas gift my daughter gave my husband and I each a journal book to fill out about each of our lives thus far as a memoir.   I'm enjoying filling out a couple of pages each day and thinking about how my daughter will be sitting reading about her mother and her life later on in her journey through life.   This also keeps my mind from wondering to food.  Have a wonderful,  healthy,  safe whole30 day!!

    You are not alone,  I  too have had a headache for the day, this is day 2 for me of my 2nd W30.  I routinely take 2 tylenol in the morning and again if needed fyi...to help keep it manageable...I also made a commitment to wake up before work early enough to get a 45 min treadmill workout in before breakfast,  (I've always had insomnia)  but with getting up earlier working out, not napping during the day,  I'm finding myself to be more tired around 10 to actually fall asleep.  Hang in there!

    Congratulations on beginning your first W30!!! As it is hard to think of just 3 meals a day,  I have found that I feel fuller longer eating this way.  I'm hoping you both will experience the same and not miss those "empty calorie high in between snacks".  Best of luck with your hubbies diabetes

    Hi, I'm Dana, this is my 2nd W30.  I loved it last time year/Januray and started again today.   I woke up at 7, did my treadmill for 45 min.  Showered made a W30 breakfast,  went to work,  came home for my W30 lunch... delicious..now back at work.  When I get home I'll probably have a precooked salmon! HAPPY NEW YEAR and take one day at a time!!

    ShelleyM -your mock oatmeal sounds great,  i just got back from the store picking up a, few things including the butternut squash and pumpkin puree's to try them both!  With snow outside,  this sounds like a wonderful warming morning meal

    This morning I made what I call my version of lumberjack hash.  Cauliflower rice,  cabbage,  yelloe/green/ orange bell peppers, 1" asparagus, onion,  grape tomatoes, sliced chicken/ tomato/ basil sausage,  seasoning,  topped with a dippy egg.  Turkey bacon on the side and sliced watermelon.   1/2 small glass of fresh squeezed oj.  My husband got a larger portion than I and he commented 3 times that this breakfast was in his words "EXCELLENT "

    That looks like my shopping just yesterday!  I had to go out before the ice and snow hit us again.   I also bought my daughter's groceries who is also on the plan,  for the roads would have been to bad for her to go after she got off of work.
    I too believe I buy too much,  but by weeks end,  I need to shop again!.  Crazy!  But I'm feeling great,  just a little tired.

    Yes! I am,  that's looks really good!  I made an oatmeal "type" breakfast my daughter told me about yesterday, it was delicious!  Apple, pecans, raisins,  coconut and almond milk,  microwaved for 1 min, 45 seconds... warming and delicious.  Added a hard boiled egg and sugar free turkey bacon on the side for my protein.   I then took veggies for my morning snack,  and then made zucchini boats for dinner yesterday... no cheese of course!  Tonight I made spaghetti squash chicken chow mein,  again,  another great meal.   
    I have a vertical rotisserie so while dinner was being prepped I cooked a chicken,  then de-meated it and put  the the carcus with veggies and seasonings and will let that simmer for 18 hours,  and then I'll have my bone broth for my morning and evening warm drinks!  I'm feeling GREAT eating this way, I feel I'll definitely be eating more whole foods moving forward!

    Running low on some supplies,  so i decided to make a "dippy egg sweet potato hash "  with chopped green/ red peppers and onion.   Also,  a formed sausage patty and fruit.   It was a wonderful breakfast after all!
