    Congrats to everyone on completed 30 days! I’m excited but I will not be reintroducing any items I plan on doing another 30 days. I actually don’t miss much of the things I ate before with the exception of pizza which I LOVE!!! But it can wait I’m in no rush. These 30 days I didn’t exercise at all, but with my next 30 days I plan on incorporating exercises into my routine. I used to work out 5-6 days a well but after getting sick I stopped for the last 3 months. It’s time to get back into my workouts and staying on Whole30. Love to hear about everyone’s NSV’s!

    @ErikaA I was at Costco last night getting the items I needed for this weeks meal, I was looking at their bacon but couldn’t find the sodium ones you recommended all the ones they had had sugar as a listed ingredient, maybe next time, I was also mad that they had ran out of the frozen Cauliflower they had which we love because they bring about 4 individual bags inside and they are so easy to prepare. But I did find some chicken sausages which were W30 compliant and hoping they taste good. I also buy the grass fed beef which is not bad and brings about 3 packs which I feel is pretty good for the price. Has anyone been feeling/seeing any difference in how they look in clothes or changes in their appearance?

    February 5, 2018 Accountability Buddies

    So lately I’ve been so tired that I haven’t been posting at the end of my night. But just finished catching up and reading the last two couple of post made. I have been doing pretty good, no cravings, just been tired, and having terrible headaches. I haven’t been taking anything for them but today after I got home I had too. I could barely think straight with how bad my head hurt, I took two excedrines which I read and don’t have anything in them that is not W30 compliant or so I hope not because I couldn’t find anything that said not to take them. Has anyone else been dealing with headaches? But after taking them within 30 mins I left like a brand new person, I cooked up a couple of new things to end the week strong. I’m finding that although I’m cooking, prepping and washing a lot more dishes I’m not bothered by it. To be honest I used to dread coming home to have to cook but I think because I have a plan and know what I’m making beforehand it’s just so much easier now and fun. Before we would always thing about what was for dinner and were always tired so we would just end up getting junk food outside and bringing it home for dinner. But now I’m really enjoying all the meals, planning for them and eating them. Best of all I don’t have to worry about what to cook. Well hope everyone had a great day!

    @Charlene33 HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you had an amazing day! Your husbands birthday dinner sounded so delicious, how very thoughtful! @april_espi I’m from Chesapeake, Virginia. today was a pretty mello day I was so exshausted though. It was definitely a long week for me, I spent almost all day trying my best to prep and cook for this upcoming week. I was proud of everything I made. Looking forward to week 2!

    @KalinaM I know I love the W30 fast and easy cookbook, the majority of my meals have been from there or from the W30 book. So far I can’t complain all the recipes have been great! so I’m wrapping day 6 today! I did my groceries yesterday and today I spent a good portion of my day prepping and cooking. I’m trying to do as much as I could to lessen the amount of work in the week. Today I definitely feel a lot better, no headaches, and feeling a lot more full with my meals. Has anyone been snappy lately or maybe easily quick to temper? Not sure if it has anything to do with W30 but I find myself getting so easily annoyed and irritated . Well I’m sure if not everyone, this week felt pretty long glad tomorrow is day 7! And looking forward to the beginning of an awesome week.

    Day 4, I completed with success, although I was exhausted by the time I left work. I went home and my husband and I prepared the skillet Rosemary Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onions from the W30 cookbook and it was pretty delicious! By the time I went to bed I was so done, I couldn't even stay awake to write down my thoughts in my 30 day W30 log book. I'm still having a hard time getting up earlier, but my sleep has definitely been getting better. I hope next week I will get some more energy! This weekend I hope to prepare more food so that I will have less cooking throughout the week.

    February 5, 2018 Accountability Buddies

    Hi Guys! Hope everyone is doing wellI’m turning in for for day 3, so far I’m doing well. The 1st and 2nd day I did experience a headache all day but I didn’t take nothing. Today I woke up feel like I had the best sleep in weeks. I slept for about 7 hours which is probably the best I can get, although I’m hoping to be able to get some more rest but it’s always a little hard. Since my husband is doing W30 with me making meals and prepping has been good so far, I only noticed as I was preparing my kids meals (not doing W30) that I was so accustomed to tasting their food that I almost ate something that I shouldn’t but I stopped myself before making a mistake, instead I asked my son to taste it and let me know if he wanted me to add anything else. I was not as tired as I was yesterday and I hope these next few days get better. The meals have all been pretty good I used both W30 cookbooks and some recipes from real plans which I subscribed too. I’m already planning for next weeks meals so I can get my shopping done before the end of the week.

    Day 1 went very well! I was tried around the afternoon but only due to the fact that I went to bed extremely late to wake up 4 hours later, my goal is to hopefully get to bed early to have at least a decent amount of energy through out the day. I noticed that I only wanted to have “junk” when giving my kids their snacks (I.e chocolate cookies, which my daughter loves) but I didn’t have any and surprisinging I ate all three meals today and didn’t feel hungry in between. I wasn’t at work today so I’m looking forward to seeing how I do at work tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great day and even a better one tomorrow

    Thanks KalinaM having a goup thread like this makes it easier. I’m ready! I’m pretty proud, just finished making 3 meals for Monday and Tuesday for my husband and I. Cooked some Sweet Potatoe hash w/ chicken sausage, Orange chicken w/ broccoli, Fajita beef (style), and enough cauliflower rice to go with both. Lets see how week one goes

    Started February 1!

    Yes I was so surprised too how much sugar is in everything! Even in thins I never thought of I was so surprised. I will be starting on my W30 journey on Monday but I went grocery shopping these last few days and 1. Was amazed how long it took me compare to my past experiences, hence having to read everything I picked up, 2. Was proud of how much veggies, fruited, and just good wholesome products I purchased, and no junk. I spent my day clearing out my pantry, fridge and freezer and it’s like a 180 from what it was! I can’t wait to start. How have these last few days going?

    Starting February 5th!

    I found ghee at Traders Joe but I didn’t buy it there bcuz I just wasn’t 100% it was W30 complaint but after reading a few post on here I think it is. I also went to Whole Foods and they have a lot of the W30 approved products including ghee and the coconut aminos but I do feel everything is a bit pricy there. I placed an order through Thrive market which has many products that are W30 compliant and honestly with all the different places I went too their prices where the best and way less then anything I found at Whole foods & TJ. I went to Kroger’s today to pick up some avocados and ginger and I was surprised they had a pretty good selection as well and definitely next time I will be getting my veggies and some meat there. I was mad because Kroger’s is so close to me and I didn’t think of going there first. But hey now I know. Will be cooking tomorrow before the game so I can have my food for Monday and Tuesday ready to go! Very excited!

    Starting February 5th!

    That’s awesome Julia! I’m also starting on the 5th there are a few others on here as well. I finally got done purchasing all my items today! Had to go to a few different locations but honestly I was just so amazed by some of these ingredients in things, especially sugar! My trips to the groceries took me longer then usual since I went to a few new places and also taking time to read everything I picked up. I’m excited to start this next chapter in my life!
  14. Hey guys! How everyone had a great day today. It’s been a long day today but I feel pretty accomplished by getting things ready to start on the 5th!!!! I went to a few places to shop around but I was so amazed by how much extra ingredients there are in stuff. To be honest I never really bothered before, now I’m in the store and everything I pick up I’m checking the back lol. I felt really proud of myself for being able in a short period of time to learn so much about ingredients. I was more amazed on how many products had sugar!!! Like in things I never even imagine there was sugar. Did anyone else feel like this through their first shopping experience? By the way I literally took about 2 hrs in the store SMH! I also went through my pantry, and fridge and literally got rid of all the junk and things I know I will not be using, I have somethings that were not open which are still good so I figured I take them to a food bank for donation. I have kids so I will be keeping some snacks and things they like to eat but slowly I also plan on changing up what they eat so they are eating at least more wholesome food and less of the processed stuff.
  15. Thanks Jim that’s great feedback! I thing that’s what I’m going to have to do here as well. I live in Virginia so those stores are all around here as well. Ive also heard Traders Joes prices are better then Whole Foods here too and definitely less then Fresh Market. I plan on going to a local Farmers market too. I lived in San Diego for about two years I miss it out there but it’s too far from NYC which is where I’m originally from.
