    So far, so good!  I work with a bunch of corny, typical engineers and of course today they bring in apple π , cherry π , pecan π.
    I am doing OK...  had my regular compliant lunch and an apple.

    Happy Monday!  It's day 21!  (for most of us, right?) 
    This weekend, I feel like all I did was shop, prep and cook. On the flip side, I have a WHOLE fridge packed with pre-cooked meals, so I can hit the gym without being worried about not eating until 9pm like the first week of the program.
    Anyone thinking about just not going OFF program? How long can you do the whole 30 anyway?

    10 months after my first W30, I can say I still spend a LOT of time shopping, prepping, and cooking.  Fortunately for me, I've always enjoyed cooking, and W30 really rejuvenated that interest in me.
    One of the big gains of doing a whole 30 is the re-introductions.  Now that you've cleared all the "junk" out of your body, doing the systematic, one-at-a-time introductions can really tell you which foods trigger what kind of responses in you.
    I continue to eat probably 95% compliant all of the time, but the re-intros were a valuable step.  I have a pretty good idea which off-plan splurges as a treat are going to be worth it now, and choose accordingly.  The biggest thing when I'm not on a Whole 30, is as Nala says, being able to be a little more relaxed in reading labels and eating out.  I still choose things that you would think would be compliant, and don't worry too much if they sneak a little soy or sugar in there.

    Preparation, a properly stocked pantry and fridge, determination. 
    You may want to see other threads in this forum for people who started the same date you did, so you can walk through this with them.

    I learned several years ago when I was taking east Indian cooking lessons that when I overspiced the dish (cutting the recipe in half but forgetting to cut the spices in half) that if I put it into the freezer when it was defrosted some of the heat would’ve dissipated. It happened just the other night when I made a Thai curry and got a little carried away. I put everything in the freezer in individual servings  and last night was able to enjoy one of the servings without needing some sort of a fire extinguisher for my mouth.

    Banana? Sweet potato or regular potato?  Home made mayo mixed in if the dish works like that? Or mayo dolloped on top - can work a bit like sour cream.

    As long as you haven't eaten anything that is non compliant, you don't have to start over.  And I wouldn't worry about going back in time and naming the meals... the day is over, you got through it best you can and now you're onto the next day.  You may be more hungry in a day following one where you underate a bit, so make sure if that's the case you eat a bit more but otherwise, carry on.

    Happy Pie Day!
    Day 3 is going great.  Hubby made an awesome Whole 30 Quiche for work and it was gone before Lunch!   Everyone loved that it was gluten free and tasted so good.
    What's not to love?
    I'm concerned this is just too easy. I'm Day 9 Sugar-Free and feeling so much better.  Aside from the diet soda, there isn't anything I miss.  I doubt I'm going to see any weight loss with this program though.  I feel like all I'm doing is cooking and eating LOL!  I'm no longer hungry ALL the time and it's just 3 days. Maybe I'll get sick of all the rich food by the end of the week.

    On to day 3.  Yesterday, I went to the gym, (also trying to do c25k) and that didn't go so well.  I wasn't able to complete the second 3 minute run interval.  Oh well, I still walked and ran.  The strength part went better than last time, at least.
    It was also "attack of the squirrels".  Focus level is REALLY LOW.  Still, I made it!
    One of the hardest things is to remember not to lick my fingers when I'm packing lunch for the kids, who aren't doing the whole30, like when I wipe a little bit of yogourt.
    Last night was deconstructed sweet potato bun burgers. Once everything was ready, I just didn't see the point of building the burger, and just used a fork.

    Spinach and eggs for breakfast, with some full fat coconut milk in the coffee.
    @Sunshine2020 I found the coconut beverage made all little chunks in the coffee.  It looked too much like when you put spoiled milk (even though it clearly wasn't) that I'm not doing that again!  Maybe nut beverage doesn't do that.
    I'm tempted to try the nutpods, if I can find them locally. From amazon, it's almost 10$, plus another 10$ for shipping! (Canada does have a few disadvantages).

    That's the date I'm thinking about doing it too!  
    I'm intimidated, and I will be the only one in the household doing it, but I think I can make it happen.  It will be harder at dinner time, because I'm not usually the one cooking.  I'll have to keep my stuff separate. I'm not too worried about having the "other foods" in the house, as I'm already mostly avoiding many of the foods others eat, but it's the little thing (the steak spices? do they have have sugar in them? does the ham?)  
    Today, I tried coffee without milk (I'm getting prepared...)  and used coconut beverage instead.  It's compliant, but it all got chunky in the coffee!  I wonder if actual coconut milk would do.  No store nearby has nut-based coffee creamers, only soy. I'll try a few more things over the weekend... or give up coffee.
