  1. Hello to everyone! Dang, I think I just realized a multivitamin I've been taking the last week is giving me crazy anxiety. B complex are known to do that! I'm heading out for a trail run, hope to get back to myself today physically/emotionally. I hope everyone is doing well! @Sheila B Glad you are doing this with us! Whole30 really can help reset your nutrition, and help with inflammation. Just takes a bit. I wish I was doing straight water, but I do like the soda waters and tea. @Niya Hello Niya! I do believe it is nice that whole30 gives us time to process our emotions without having to reach for junk food, and find healthier ways to treat ourselves.
  2. Hello everyone! We've made it over a week now! Things are smoothing out. Not as many headaches, but sleep has been off. Energy getting better. It looks like everyone is making it through alright. I'm glad to be doing this, because it's true, life triggers us often to reach for junk food to curb our emotions. I am a junk-food binger. I've had a big problem with it since I quit drinking alcohol and smoking cigs ~7 years ago. I stay in shape since I'm active, but it's affecting my health and energy daily now. That's the main thing I'm trying to get control of, and for good. Went to a friend's bday, I made buffalo wings and a compliant coleslaw. Held me over. Every day I've pretty much been eating salmon, beef, veg and potatoes of some sort. Bought multiple of the paleo kitchen sauces that hit hard! Emergencies I'll have a compliant rx bar or larabar. No sugar jerky, hard-boiled eggs, sardines, fruit or trail mix works too. I'll check back in soon, and hope everyone has a great week! Adam
  3. I read through everyone's posts, and it's great we all have a place to talk about our progress and those things we are going through. Seems like a lot of us dealt with headaches and brain fog from getting away from all that processed sugar. It just hits different, and I know it all can make you a bit agro for sure lol! I hate days like that @KalinaM! Sounded like you saved the day with an amazing meal and treating yourself good though! I'm going to my friend's bday this Sunday, and they are having a burger slider competition, which is gonna kill me! I'm gonna bring some wings and coleslaw though, which'll tie me over, and prob make some whole30 sliders. I went for a tail run today, which was pretty brutal. I usually run 3-4 times a week, but took like 2 weeks off and was eating like trash most the time. I'm looking forward to more energy, better runs, more productivity and less depression! I hope you all have a great day 5 tomorrow, and I'll check back in to see how y'all are doing! Adam
  4. Hope everyone has a great day #1 and happy new year! I'm going to go on a hike to process all I want out of life for 2023. When I get back I'll have my first whole30 meal. Look forward to seeing where this journey takes us all! Adam
  5. Awesome! It'll be nice when you make it over the hump, and start getting some more energy I'm sure. And, yeah, reintroduction will be a good thing, to see what affects you. I'm going to try and slow things too with you, and see what really makes me lag. Adam
  6. Awesome! We will all be here in support!
  7. Hola! I'm just going to start the 2nd with everyone, no big deal. Makes sense too with it falling on a Monday. I'm really excited. Just step one, in a lot of nutritional changes I'm going to implement. Happy New Year!
  8. Hello! My name is Adam and I will be doing whole30 along with you all! I’ll stay in touch wherever ppl joining in for January will be here on the forum. Looks like most ppl are starting the 2nd, but I’ve been planning on the 1st. I completed whole30 once a few years back, and did it for 25 days between this thanksgiving and Christmas. look forward to the support and success! My recent 25 days the first week I was having headaches, feeling grumpy and like I was in sugar withdrawal. After that I got my healthy energy back, less napping, less depression, more productive, slept better etc and want to get back to that, and on a permanent lifestyle level. Whole30 in January is just the start of a big and healthy change for me, and I hope for all of you too! Adam
