    Generally, you should aim to go 4-5 hours between meals, so  breakfast at 6ish and being hungry around 11 means your breakfast is probably about the right size. If you can change when you take your lunch break, that's probably the easiest solution, but if you work somewhere that that isn't a possibility, a small snack if you need it is fine -- try to have a combo of protein, fat, and vegetables,  or at least two of the three, just a smaller portion than a full meal. So maybe a hard boiled egg with mayo, or some carrot sticks with guacamole or something like that.

    Day 12!
    Feeling great! Sleeping throughout the night! Waking up refreshed with energy throughout the day! Its going great. 
    Question though... Now that I have been eating my breakfast first thing in the morning, I am getting hungry by 11 (I eat breakfast at 6ish). I use to eat my lunch at 12:30/1 but it never feels like I can make it that long. Should I be eating earlier or should I incorporate a small snack to tide me over? Or maybe I should be eating more breakfast?! Not sure what the best solution is.

    Was thinking I would start on Monday but after Saturday brunch I didn’t feel like putting it off any longer. Went to the store (4-5 times), prepped the day away and started this morning! 
    The day went great! But as I end the day I’m super tired and feel like a caffeine crash might hit me in the morning. I’m trying to focus on getting rid of my caffeine and sugar addiction this round. Drank some tea this morning but usually have loads of coffee and energy drinks. Looking forward to tomorrow’s crash!

    Yep, the adjustment can be really tiring on the body. Be kind to yourself and if you have the time and availability for extra rest, go ahead and take it.

    Hi, I'm on Day 7 here, doing great so far! I love drinking Yogi brand Egyptian Licorice tea in the morning. It has a natural sweet taste from the licorice  You should try it!

    Hi everyone! Figured today was as good a day as ever to start. Just ran the NYC marathon yesterday and wrapped up a tough season of training, and want to try this before we really get in the thick of the holidays. Thanksgiving is easy enough (meat, vegetables, and pass on pumpkin pie!). 4 hours down, 30 days to go. Who's with me?

    I'm 49 years old, overweight ... I want to get to my 50th birthday in better shape 
    I started my first Whole30, two days ago... but I just discovered that my raisins have sugar added  
    Apart from this, the rules had not been a problem for me.  Although the recommendations had cost me a bit 
    Anyway, I'm happily restarting tomorrow.

    Oh, girl, that is going to be tough! Home (and alone) is the WORST place for me to be when eating through the kitchen cabinets is NOT on my goals list! I would suggest meal planning and then portioning out your breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as one or two mini-meals (hard boiled egg, chicken thigh w/ guac) and then tell yourself you Do Not Deviate from what is in those containers. Make sure that the meals are large enough to get you 4-5 hours without being hungry, drinks LOTS of water and the rest of the time just stay out of the kitchen as much as you can. Those containers should be your lifeline until you get a few days in!

    Hi there, I started today, Nov 1st as well! I did one round previously, but did not follow the re-introduction and had a bad reset. Hope to be more disciplined this time. I will join a fitness club as well. Would love to be part of this mini-support group. Happy Day1 !

    Hi my name is Kylia and I’m committing to a Whole30 on November 1st! I keep telling myself Thanksgiving is just one day I can enjoy my family traditions with out the foods. I have started Whole30 off and on for two weeks now. My cravings ARE SERIOUS along with stress eating. So daily I have to start over again. I also can’t find a friend or family member that will do this with me. But I know I need to do for myself and my health.

    Hi Kylia, welcome! Lots of support here, you can do this! Maybe take some time to sit down and write a list of how/when you went off the Whole30, what the triggers and circumstances were and then create some game plans for going forward this time. Example, I came home starving after a brutal day and just poured wine and had chips. I'll avoid this going forward by packing my meals and always having "emergency food" at home like hard boiled eggs or chicken thighs so that I can create some space for myself to make unemotional decisions."
