    Really appreciate the honesty here. I'm sorry about the bad body image stuff. That sucks. You're taking care of your health by doing this Whole 30 thing and that is no small fact. The feelings are only temporary (something I have to remind myself of, too) and as an outsider, it is incredibly impressive (and MOTIVATIONAL!) that you're so committed and invested. WELL DONE. I, too, have been feeling backed up and bloated since around Day 6? But what helped for me was taking Mag 07 (All-Natural Magnesium supplements) before bed with water. Truly, it helps you sleep soundly and it helps to get things moving. Just thought I'd offer that up. Can't believe we're all a third of the way done! Thanks again for posting all of this.     I'm so loving this! Thanks for keeping track on the Forum. I'm also in NYC so places like Hu Kitchen (Their Chicken tenders...SO yummy!) and Cava and Dig Inn are such great resources for us. Also, Sweetgreen, right? They're technically compliant if you don't get any of the cheeses or dairy dressings?! What about Westville? I bet that would be great for W30, as well. Love your commitment to working out every day. This is my first W30 and I have just felt crazy lethargic this week - started 1/1. I think now that I'm out of the fog (and post December food extravaganza), this second week I can commit to more sweat sessions and taking it up a notch. I've just been doing gentle walks around the park, which I love but are not necessarily giving me that burn. Thank you again for posting your meals, thoughts, and exercise routines. SO helpful!     Who's starting 1/1?

    Good morning and Happy Day 6! Just wanted to touch base and say that I'm kind of shocked at how easy W30 has been for me. I'm such a sugar fiend, I thought surely I would be jonesing for all the sweet treats and having cravings and headaches but actually, I'm feeling really good and NOT missing my sdessert that I want (after lunch...and dinner...). It's been a nice reminder that I can do things that initially I might have thought felt impossible, but by just allowing it to happen and taking it meal by meal, I know that I've got this. It's really been an eye-opener. I had my first food dream. There was a massive box of multiple different kinds of slices of cake in my Grandma's house and I was just staring at them. Not eating or anything, juts starting very intensely at beautiful pieces of decadent looking cakes. Clearly, my sugar dragon is hanging out in my subconscious, too. One other quick thing: it was a friend's birthday yesterday and a group of us went out to lunch. I didn't eat anything - just had a hot peppermint tea and water. And I was really fine with it. Not tempted at all, not hungry or anything. Not talking too much about it, either. I was SO surprised how uncomfortable it made the OTHER people I was with. "What do you mean you're not eating? The food is so amazing here!" "Aw, man, the Whole30 sounds so restrictive and kind of crazy" "Sorry we have to eat all these carbs in front of you!" Seriously! I was so surprised. I guess people think that it's somehow a reflection on them but I just kept things very chill and said, "No, it's all good. Please enjoy your meal. I'm just doing this as a reset for my own system. It's just for 30 days and I really feel fine. Please enjoy yourself" MHU said that those kinds of reactions might happen in FOOD FREEDOM, but I never thought MY friends would actually act that way. SO WEIRD! Has this happened to anyone else yet? Would love to share strategies of how to talk to people to so they don't get offended and/or try to offer info (but not overshare) about the program without airs of superiority.     Who's starting 1/1?

    Happy Day 2, everyone! Just wanted to check in and say Hi. I felt really great yesterday eating W30-style but then I got a migraine in the evening and it was pretty difficult. I get barometric pressure headaches sometimes and the one I had yesterday turned into a pretty nasty migraine. Normally, I will have a regular coke with my migraine medication (my Doctor says it's helpful to get your blood sugar elevated and caffeine to open blood vessels for my meds) but I didn't have one. Instead, I made a Matcha Latte with Unsweetend Almond Milk and took my meds and I woke up feeling better today. Does anyone have tips for headaches and what happens when your body goes into withdrawl? I'm nervous about the effects after having no sugar. Any tips are surely welcomed!     Hi there! These are the same kind of issues for me, too. I'm usually pretty healthy but this past year I got lazier with my exercise, ate wayyyyy more sweets and treats, and basically got out of touch with my body. I'd love to develop better habits and a better relationship to food!

    Christy! I'm starting 1/1, too! I'm Gia and I'm happy to be an accountability partner. I love that you're a Mama to two girls...and a pup! What kind of dog do you have? I'm married, living in NYC with my husband, and eager to stop feeling so sluggish and tired all the time! What is this 'tiger blood' that I've been reading about? Or is it 'tiger energy'?   9. ...but also SUGAR. I'm addicted and it's a problem!!! Hi, I'm Gia. I live in NYC and my husband and I are doing the W30 starting January 1st and while I'm freaked out, I'm also kind of excited. This will be my first time doing anything like this. I already eat a 60% Paleo type of diet but I have a major sugar dragon that I need to kick to the curb. This holiday season nearly did me in with food (so much food - ALL THE FOOD) and while I'm a pretty fit and healthy person, I feel super puffy and my clothes are tight and my skin is broken out and and and...I think (I hope!) a re-set will be just what is in order. Please give all the sugar addiction advice because I've been trying to cut out desserts the past few days and it has been TOUGH. Thanks in advance and I'm eager to E-Meet many of you. Cheers!
