    I am new to Whole30 just learned about it this week, I have been doing some research and plan to start on Sunday the 27th.  In the past I have done best with people I am accountable with.  I have had some stomach issues, skin issues, and want to see if the food I am putting into my system has to do with it.  I will be honest it is going to kill me to give up sugar.  I have a sweet tooth.

    Today has gnoe well.  My coffee is the biggest challenge so far and veggies for breakfast.  I think once I get started I will be OK.  I am working on prepping things for the week.

    Hi jenwestphal, I'm starting tomorrow, but can I join you? I need accountability, too! It's going to be doing without bread that will be my challenge!

    Good luck getting started!  The sugar withdrawal can be a challenge...and so worth it!  You will notice increased energy and less need for the "sugar fix" after a bit.

    Jenwestphal, I am starting today, too!!!
    I am also concerned about giving up sugar.  I also eat a lot of dairy, specifically cheese! 
    I am excited and very nervous, but my meals are planned.  I have a lot of food prep to do today to get ready for the week.

    Correct.  All food that was once alive has naturally occurring sugar.  We are only concerned with added sugar so you don't need to worry about the nutrition panel

    You have to get your own snacks ready for when you need them.  Remember why are doing this.  I am going start soon.  Maybe I will be ready by the 27th and can be a partner for you.  I always do better when I have an accountability partner.  You can do this, but you have to want to!!   .     My advice is to keep it simple at first.  Cook what you like that is already Whole30 compliant, and tweek the ones that are almost compliant.  While it's great to try new recipes, it can be a bit overwhelming at the start.
    Read ALL ingredient labels, even the spice mixes.  Here in the US we are bombarded with some form of sugar, soy or corn in almost everything. 
    Sauces are your friend.  They can be as simple or as elaborate as you like but they will take a plain piece of chicken/fish/veggie to the next level, and it counts as your added fat.  My fave is a simple lemon/light olive oil mix.  It goes over anything.
    Remember that there will be a learning curve, so don't stress it.
    You can do this.

    Hi! 
     
    Im Annie! Super excited to be starting my W30 journey! I wish I could start sooner, however, I have relatives visiting from abroad that want to experience British food. Cannot wait to start my whole 30 detox!  
    Any words of advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

    I feel I'm doing pretty good on this week's goals.  I slipped once and ordered a Coke without thinking but didn't drink it all. Been making up for it with coffee and Nut Pod milk... I'd rather just get off caffeine in the afternoon.
    Today I thought of eating a candy bar as I passed my usual junk food stop but the thought actually turned my stomach, so I'm making progress!!

    After drinking my large glass of ACV water and half a caffiene pill, I headed to town realizing I would not be stopping for a Coke.  I had a wave of panic and then a relief settled over me.... freedom from the time waste, expense, and sugar rush of addiction.  One day down.  I was not totally sugar free today, but all in all pretty good.  I feel a tiny bit headachey and my muscles are antsy... not sure why.
