  1. I have been in the habit of eating steel cut oats for breakfast on weekday mornings. That is the ONLY thing I miss when on the Whole30 program. A friend suggested that since tapioca starch is an approved item, I could substitute my oats preparation with "Sabudana" which is available in Indian grocery stores. My understanding is that Sabudana is the same thing as tapioca pearls - not sure if that is true though. Also, I do not know what the process of making sabudana involves - whether they add/dust the tapioca pearls in regular flour. The package does not list the ingredients other than to say "Sabudana". Does anyone familiar with Sabudana know if it is an allowed food item on Whole30?
