    February 2013 Starters

    Today is day 31. I've lost 14 lbs. on W30 but better still I have gone down a size. The cravings are gone, but a little sugar demon rears its head once in a while in the evening. It's so good to be able to handle it and not give in. I'm sleeping better. I have more energy. I'll be continuing on to a W60 since I have more to work on. I don't post often, but it helps to check in and read others' encouraging words. Thanks to all and have a good journey! Patti

    February 2013 Starters

    Day 25 is drawing to an end. I was concerned about not experiencing the increase in energy that others have had. I've been working on improving my sleep habits. Three or four hours of sleep per night is not enough. Four nights ago I started turning off blue light technology(TV) an hour before a SET bedtime. I'm finally getting seven to eight hours of sleep each night. (I know. I know. I did read it in ISTF, but it took a while for me to deal with that terrible TV habit.). Even though I still awaken two or three times a night, I go right back to sleep. Yesterday I noticed this new supply of energy. Today it's back and even stronger! I've felt better today than I have for months. If it's the sleep, I'm good to go. My W30 meal planning is getting easier and my pants continue to get looser. My exercise plan is in place. Since I still have work to do in other areas and wish to strengthen what I've learned, I will move on to a W60. Have a great tomorrow, all!

    February 2013 Starters

    This is day 15 for me. Yeah! I'm halfway there! On days 11 and 12, I felt quite fatigued. After reading several posts, I realized I was possibly not getting enough fat at each meal. Since adding more, the fatigue has gone. Meal planning and preperation is getting easier. I look forward to trying more new recipes. My pants are looser. Before W30, my Waterloo was the evening hours between dinner and bedtime. I would find myself going to look for food even when I was not hungry-sometimes right after dinner. I rarely feel the urge now. When I do, I drink a large glass of water and find something to do. I still need to work on sleeping. Medical problems cause me to get up a few times at night and sometimes, because of pain, I have difficulty going back to sleep. I have seen a little improvement and I'm hopeful it will get even better. I'm thinking W30 will become W60 for me. Happy Valentines Day to all. Patti

    Hi, everyone. This is day eight for me and I have to say I'm pretty excited. This is my first Whole30 and my first post. When my doctor suggested the Whole30 to me, I was certain I couldn't give up dairy. However, what she told me about the progtam sparked my interest enough that I drove 18 miles to buy ISTF. I read, planned, shopped and here I am on day 8 - compliant. I feel that the worst part is behind. Having the informative and encouraging posts of the forum are very helpful. Thanks to all.
