    Hey Everyone!
Here's to Week 2! I have much more energy this week. Not yet Tiger Blood but inching my way there. Last week I kept my cardio sessions light since the first week is always exhausting but this week I'm going to ramp it up again. I've noticed the slight pain in my knee start to subside. I hardly feel it when I go up and down steps anymore which is great plus!
I went grocery shopping yesterday and meal prepped for the week. I'm looking forward to getting one more week under my belt. Wishing you guys a great Day 8!

    Hey Everyone!
Happy Day 4! My anxiety levels are starting to decrease. I started this Whole30 when tons of things are going on in my life. In the past I would have put it off, but now I realize that my nutrition paired with activity will alleviate my stressors. I'm glad I committed to the challenge because I'm starting to notice my sleep quality getting better, I feel energized in the morning before I drink my cup of coffee, and my tummy is starting to debloat.
@Starlight89 Great question on Whole30 BBQ options. Our family leans on the carne asada side when we BBQ, so I typically marinate the meat with all natural/whole30 compliant additives. I make a whole30 potato salad and stay away from beans, rice, and tortillas. If I'm invited to parties, I bring my own whole30 dish. Not only is it hospitable, but you also guarantee there's something for you to eat!  I'm also not embarrassed to bring my own dressings or salsas to a party. Other guests don't even know they're whole30! haha
    Have a great day!

    Hello Everyone!
Starting my 4th Round of the Whole30 Challenge today in preparation for my wedding in September and looking for an accountability group. I've been doing Whole30 challenges for over five years now and I love the energy and confidence it brings me. I tried restarting last month and let work stress get in the way of a successful challenge (I got a week and a half into it) but this time around I'd like to finish the challenge with no slips.
I've recently noticed irregular sleep patterns and high anxiety levels returning so I decided it was time to be serious about my whole30 challenge. I've been following a paleo lifestyle while I'm off the challenge but have slipped in some occasional cheese and bread these last couple of weeks. I've noticed that I turn to processed foods when I'm overly stressed.
I recently read Food Freedom Forever by Melissa Hartwig and loved it. I used to beat myself up when I reverted back to bad eating habits. Now, I'm able to look for signals that I'm going off course and gently nudge myself back to a healthier lifestyle.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you over the next 30 days! Have a great first day!

    Hey Everyone!
Hope you guys are having a great Day 3! The last two days have been tough. I felt so exhausted and hungry that it left me extremely moody. I was able to break through with consistent workouts, meditation, lots of water, and tons of sleep.
I feel much better today and looking forward to the next couple of days off of work to relax and get outdoors.
@Gryhndlady Welcome and congrats on your first Whole30.  This program has changed my life in so many ways and I'm excited for you! When I first started, I thought I knew what healthy foods were but couldn't lose any weight. After reading It Starts With Food, I was skeptical about the challenge but thought, "what the heck!" I had nothing to lose. I ended up extending the challenge to 60 days and lost nearly 20 lbs. The biggest win for me was learning to read labels, cook wholesome meals for me and my fiance, kicking the sugar dependence, and all of the energy I had. This is my fourth challenge over 5 years and every time I go through it, I always learn something new about myself. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!

    Here's to Day 11!
I got through the weekend successfully. The first weekend of my Whole30 is always the hardest. My Whole30 essentials start to dwindle by Friday and I have to get creative with meals before my weekly grocery run on Sunday.
My sleep has gotten much better. I can fall asleep easily and sleep through most of the night. With the increased sleep, I have more energy in the morning. Not quite near Tiger Blood but getting there. This last week I was really dependent on coffee. I usually like to limit myself to one cup in the morning but had to reach for a second on some days. I'm back to one coffee a day and feeling much more energized.
@JenX I'm right with you on the scale thing! I like to see that immediate payoff when I'm taking steps to lose weight but seem to ignore the scale when I'm not as diligent! haha! It's been a little difficult not weighing/measuring. Instead, I've been trying on some of my tightest pants to see if they're getting more comfortable. They're not loose by any means, but they are starting to get more comfortable.
    Here's to week 2! Congrats!

    Hey Everyone
Can't believe it's already Day 5. I've been feeling a little foggy brained and tired over the last couple of days. I find drinking tons of water and walking on lunch has helped me get through the day. I also find this great energy at the end of the day that helps me power through my workouts. Not quite Tiger Blood but every day I'm drawing closer.
For this program, I've been focusing on a minimalist meal plan. I enjoy cooking more when I'm not slaving away in the kitchen all day. I've been doing egg bakes for breakfast, simple salads for lunch, and hearty soups for dinner. I found some great compliant salsas and dressings which saves me tons of time.
I usually have a crazy sugar dragon but I've been conscious of eating too much fruit so try to get through that hump. On my last challenge, I was finally able to kick the sweetened Starbucks drink habit and I now LOVE the taste of black coffee! haha
I hope everyone has a great day! We're almost finished with Week 1! Woohoo!

    Hey @JenX & @pearlgirl2017
I started my 4th round of the Whole30 on June 1st and I'm looking for an accountability group. I've been completing Whole30 resets for about 6 years now and it always sets the tone for healthy eating habits when I veer off course. My fiance doesn't follow resets with me, so it's nice to have the whole30 community for support.
The reason I'm starting my 4th round of the Whole30 challenge is  to lose a couple of LB's before my wedding in September. I decided it was time to be strict with my sugar consumption and increase my workouts. I always have the best sleep and energy on the Whole30 so I'm looking forward to those NSV's.
    Have a great day everyone!

    Hey Everyone!
I been a little busy to check in but super excited we're on day 9! Woohoo! The first week was rough for me. I spent Day 6 & 7 napping all day but didn't feel too guilty. haha! I haven't given myself this much rest in a while and it was much needed.
I've been on this rollercoaster of emotions. Happy one minute and angry the next. Can't wait to have these emotions go back to normal. I've been taking daily walks and completing daily meditations to keep my emotions in check and it has been helpful. Journaling and checking in with you guys has also been helpful.
@Suzanne-SATx I agree, no need to punish yourself for an unconscious slip up. On my first Whole30, I accidentally chewed a piece of gum and found out later that was a whole30 no-no. It sounded silly to restart so I kept going. At the end of the challenge, I felt so great that I tacked on the 3 days just to be able to say I accomplished the challenge.
@Fit4Me Reaplans is a really great meal planning/recipe tool. I've been using it for over a year now and it's amazing! You can filter out recipes that are not Whole30 compliant so it only suggests things you can eat. There's even a Whole30 add-on which includes reintroduction recipes. It creates a shopping list for you so you know exactly what to pick up. You can even import recipes from other recipe sites using a URL. It does have an annual fee of $72 (last I checked) but well worth it for me. I used to spend HOURS meal planning and now I can do it in less than 10. Here's the link in case you're interested https://realplans.com

    Hey Everyone!
Happy Day 16! I'm finally over the case of the grumps and have the most incredible energy. I think I'm experiencing the beginning of Tiger Blood! Woohoo!
Yesterday I did two cardio sessions because I just had so much energy. I'm going to take advantage of this new found energy and ramp up my workouts this week. I'm at a point where I don't crave processed foods anymore even when they're right in front of me. I feel in control of what I'm eating and rarely need snacks to get me to the next meal. I'm super proud of myself for getting this far and look forward to another great week!
@Fit4Me I use sparkling water to get me through nausea. Awesome job getting through a road trip while on your Whole30!

    Hey Everyone!
Happy 12th Day! I've been a little MIA the last few days. I have been on an emotional roller coaster and happy that I finally broke through it yesterday. My sugar dragon slightly roared yesterday but I was able to turn down my fave caramel popcorn. Patting myself on the back for that one.  I'm too far into this challenge to turn back now.
I can't believe we're almost on Day 15, half way through! This round of the challenge, I decided to really document my NSV's to keep me motivated. Here's just of few of my faves:
Glowing Skin No more under-eye circles  Flatter stomach/less bloating  Less knee pain  Fewer sugar cravings  Feeling in control of food  Eats to satiety  Healthy strategies to deal with cravings  More consistent with exercise  New recipes  Looking forward to many more!
    Welcome @MBG & @Elk! Have a great day everyone!

    Hey everyone!
Thanks for the support @Sunshine2020! I really appreciate it.
@Elizabeth33 Right with you on the kill all the things yesterday. Work has been stressful lately so I tried my best to not snap at annoying coworkers. haha! My fiancé has been through this with me all three rounds so he knows the deal the first week. He gives me my space when needed and cleans up dishes after dinner so I can relax. That's why I'm marrying this guy!
I am a chronic grazer which often leads to overeating so I've been limiting my snacks and only have them when absolutely needed. I'll still carry around a pack of carrots or almond butter packs but try my best not to use them.
I woke up today (Day 5) with some energy. My foggy brain is nearly gone. The pain I get in my lower back from sitting in an office chair all day and the pain I get in my knee from a previous injury have gotten a little better.
Hey guys! We're almost one week in! Congrats!

    Hey Everyone
Here's to day 4! Woohoo! Hoping for an energetic day because yesterday was tough! I was sleepy and irritable. When I have a tough first week, I have to remind myself that it does get better. For me, it's usually on the 5th or 6th day. I'll just have to tough it out today and hope tomorrow is a better day.
All in all, I'm proud of myself for eating by the book, not even a slip on technically compliant foods like paleo pancakes (my fave). I've been drinking more water instead of coffee or caffeinated tea and I've been working out at least 30 minutes a day for an extra energy boost in the middle of the day. I'll pick up the intensity as I get more energy but happy I'm being consistent.
    Have a great day everyone!

    Good morning everyone!
    I hope everyone's Day 1 went well.
    I felt super accomplished yesterday.
Ate Whole30 breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pre-workout snack  Prepped Whole30 breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the week. I get up really early for my commute, so having meals I can through into my bag is a must!  Drank black coffee (no sweetener). I've been doing this one for a while and really enjoy the taste of black coffee now.  Drank plenty of water  Completed a 45 min strength workout and 30 min stretch Completed a 5 min meditation  I decided to write down my "whys" before starting the reset to keep me motivated.
Lose weight before the big day.  Sleep better. I've been having some erratic sleep patterns and while I'm on the Whole30, I have the best sleep!  More energy. I wake up really early and have some reliance on caffeine. While, I love my coffee I don't want to NEED my coffee in the morning.  Continue learning healthy habits. I've struggled with my weight since I was a kid and would love to keep a healthier lifestyle. I always feel better when I'm feeding myself wholesome foods.  Have a great Day 2 guys!

Thanks @trafficjamdreaming for the recommendations. Yay everyone it is the end of day 3!! I know it's only day 3 but in the past I usually quit by making excuses. I have been very tired the last few days but the slight headaches have gone and there is no nausea. Today went really well today. I didn’t snack as much as I did yesterday. Which was more of a grazing day although ironically I didn't eat a lot. Today I didn’t snack between meals although I may need to eat a small snack before bed. I am going to wean myself off of this but needing as much sleep as I do this week I will most likely start doing that next week. I seem to be eating the veggies better than the last 2 days. It was hard because all I wanted was salty and fat. My issue is if I don’t want things and I eat them my gag reflex kicks in. Not sure what that is about but it has been that way for years. I can be in the middle of a meal and then my body says no more green beans or meat and I can’t force myself to eat it. Today I did 2 veggies that seemed to help get all of them down. I basically cleaned my plates today. I am finding if I am still hungry after what I eat I just add some fat and I am full.  It was a long day and am not able to prep for tomorrow so I will need to get up earlier tomorrow to get it done.
I have some NSV from yesterday and today that I want to share. My chiropractor said yesterday that I was already less puffy and not as stiff. Also, the rash I get from time to time because of my CPAP (a device I use for sleep apnea) is also less and practically gone today. I finally caught up on my Day by Day today.
I hope everyone had a great day.
    Food:
Breakfast: Turkey burg: 2 romaine lettuce leaf, mayo, mustard, avo; sauté beet greens, 2 slices of sweet potato tea and almond milk latte
Lunch: Roasted turkey, squash and carrot soup, ½ salad, nuts
Dinner: Pork & meat Italian meatloaf, green beans, bro, 4 small white potatoes, small amount of marinara on meatloaf
Snack: Unknown but most likely 1-2 eggs and maybe some olives

Hi all - Started April 1 as well!
Two days in, starting day 3 and two nights of restless sleep.  Woke at 3:45 each night.   It's ok, gave me a moment to get logged in here and find you all!
Breakfast has been veggie egg cups - made enough for whole work week.  Actually getting in three meals a day is a big deal - that's a LOT of food!  Wednesday's goal - eat three balanced meals (I usually eat a brunchy time and then a big dinner late - Habit I'm trying to change)
Feeling ok though - yesterday was foggy and I had to take a nap at 3 (I work from home) - so I actually scheduled it and added the hour back in late day.
    Nice to meet you all!

    Hey everyone!
I'm new to the forum but this will be my third Whole30 reset. I plan to start on April 1st and glad I've found some other people who are starting around the same time as I am.
I've tried starting my Whole30 round 3 for a while now and I get about two weeks in and want chocolate or margaritas. Ugh!...My weakness!
I've started to use the Whole30 Day by Day guide and it mentioned connecting with the Whole30 community to find support. I'm doing this on my own and it's tough! My fiancé is as supportive as he can be but he isn't following the reset with me. So I'm looking for like-minded people with my same struggles.
Looking forward to connecting with you guys!

Hope everyone had a energetic Day 2. As for me, I could have slept all day!
My cravings were under control but I was extremely hungry. Had do grab some snacks throughout the day but kept it protein and fat based. I have a really bad sweet tooth, so I've been limiting fruit and nut bars (RX Bars/Larabars) on this round of the Whole30.
I did a 20 min walk on my lunch and when I got home I did a light stretch. I gave myself some leniency on my workouts because I know the first week I can get really tired. Can I just jump to the Tiger Blood phase already? Haha!
@Elizabeth33 I use silicone baking cups and they slide right off ( Amazon Silicone Baking Cups )
@Fit4Me I used to be fat-phobic too! The idea of having 4 eggs cooked in olive oil with a side of guacamole would have doubled me over in the past, but when you don't have much carbs (with the exception of veggies and fruits), you need the extra fat to keep you fueled throughout the day. It took me some time to get used to but when I saw the amazing results at the end of the program, I was a believer.
Hope everyone has an amazing 3rd day! Keep it up!

Day 2 is in the bag and on to day 3!
I find myself questioning the amount of fat that I am consuming. It is a bit daunting. I grew up in the “fat is bad” era so the idea that I have eaten a whole avocado and cooked my morning eggs with olive oil instead of non-stick spray (mine contain soy lectins) is terribly troubling for me. I feel like I am focused on the fat and not the fact that I am doing this! I need to continue reiterating to myself my reasons for wanting a healthy life and doing Whole30 is a step in getting there.
