    Thank you! I actually had chosen not to eat it, although it was very hard lol. Sugar is the main ingredient I'm trying to remove from my diet, so I want to make sure I'm understanding this completely.

    So I purchased some bacon and it say in the nutrition 0g Sugar. However, the ingredients show it was cured with sugar? I'm confused. lol

    Homemade Mayo

    Ok so it did thicken overnight. I should have been a little more patient! lol. Although somehow I missed the part about using light olive oil and I used evoo. Tastes terrible. lol. I am hoping I can add my homemade ranch seasoning mix to it and at least turn it into a dip so it's not wasted. Thanks everyone!

    Good evening! I am very new with the Whole30. Just started yesterday. I purchased some almond milk and I was reading one forum where it's hard to find almond milk that is Whole30 Compliant. Can someone please verify that all these ingredients are compliant? I do not want to get off to a bad start by drinking something I shouldn't. Thank you!     Homemade Mayo

    Help please! I have tried making homemade mayo twice. It is not turning out. It will not thicken. Someone told me it takes overnight to thicken. It has been in fridge all day and it's still as runny as in the beginning. How long do you blend it? What am I doing wrong?

    Funny you mention breakfast, because that is where I am struggling to plan. I usually have a couple pieces of ww toast with peanut butter, a piece of fruit and a cup of peanut butter. It's been hard trying to revamp it and come up with something quick and easy. I don't want to spend a lot of time making breakfast. I am going to pick up some of the frozen Whole 30 meals from Walmart as a back-up until I have adjusted.

    Substitute For Gum

    Thank you! I have been reading up on some items to use. However, I am not a fan of apple-cider vinegar unless it's used with other ingredients to highly offset the taste. I have tried the baking soda, and it did not go well. I am not a huge fan of ginger. I will try the mint leaves and fennel seeds next. I am hoping that the changes in my diet will alleviate the heartburn and nausea. I do suffer from migraines so the main reason for the nausea is due to the migraine medicine. I am putting high hopes that there is some miracle food issue that once removed from my diet will take care of the migraines. (Wishful thinking, I know!)

    So I am starting Whole 30 May 1 for the first time. Did anyone else feel overwhelmed with all the information when they first started? I keep reading up on it and finding recipes. I get frustrated because I find "whole 30" recipes that really aren't because they contain dairy or some other non-compliant ingredient. I have downloaded the pantry list, priority foods list and the off-limits list. Any other tips anyone can provide would definitely be appreciated!

    Substitute For Gum

    Hello! I am getting ready to start Whole 30 on May 1. I am excited and have got the pantry and fridge ready to start. The one area where I'm struggling to change is gum. I am a gum chewer! I use it to help with heartburn and nausea. It also helps me prevent from snacking and helps deter my sugar cravings. I have looked up alternatives and some I am not willing to try and others I have tried, but do not work for me. Any suggestions?

    Morning Suggestions

    So I am very new to Whole30 - planning on starting May 1 so I can prepare my kitchen and pantry. One thing I read was to cut out the in-between snacks and to stick to meals 4.5 - 5 hours apart. This is where my problem is. I eat my breakfast around 4:30/5:00 am. I get a break around 9 and my lunch isn't until 11:30/12, which is around 7 hours between meals. Any suggestions? We eat dinner between 5/5:30 so the afternoon is not a problem.

    Starting May 1

    So I have the plan to start May 1. This is so I can clean out the pantry and purchase the items I need. I keep getting this "I don't think I can do this" feeling. I'm hopeful that I can do this and change my view of food. I have always been overweight and want to change this. I am a little over a year from my 50th birthday and want to lose the weight by then. My daughters have decided to join this path with me.
