In early 2014 I started taking a Zumba class to lose weight and get healthy. That summer I started walking my dog regularly which slowly turned into running with my dog. After 6 months of not seeing much weight loss, I knew my diet had to change. It took about 2.5 years for me to lose just over 100 lb. I've been on a long plateau since 2017. I'd love to lose about 15 lb. more but I still find myself completely addicted to the sugar reward system. I run about 12 miles a week, work out with a trainer 2 to 3 times a week and try for a Zumba or yoga class once a week. I look so much better and feel great, but I'm just not "there" yet. And I'd love to finally break up with my dependence on the scale and food addictions.
