    Is today really day 30? Man, that went by pretty quickly. I have note read "It Starts with Food." I think I will get it. I was looking at "Food Freedom." I'm not sure what food I will introduce first. Wine is always a good thing! I also will keep this as my routine, but maybe allow some grains in , as long as they don't mess with me when reintroduced. Way to go Pied Piper!!

    Can't believe we are almost halfway through!! Not sure why you would have an ache in your stomach. It's good that you notice it happens when you eat white chicken meat. Could it have been a bad batch of chicken, or has it happened all along? I've not tried the homemade mayo. It seemed like people had a hard time getting the right consistency. I've been mixing my tuna with avocado. It's not too bad. Trader Joe's Chile Lime Chicken burgers have become a staple. They are just fast and easy to make. Congrats on making it this far. Let's keep plugging along!!

  4. I didn't think we could have sulfites. Just found the below: When it comes to additives, less is better, but only three are specifically out. The Whole30 eliminates carrageenan, MSG, and sulfites on the program.

    Thanks! Trying trying. The nut butter and tahini sounds great. I find that I have been hungry in between meals this go around. Not sure if it's because I am working out, or if it is a mental thing. So that sounds like a good thing to eat in a pinch. Funny how we can trick our minds into thinking we are eating something else when we really are not (thinking about your yellow carrots!!). Don't think too far ahead. One day at a time. Hopefully by the time all the fun things roll around, you will have a better handle on food and will be able to indulge responsibly. That's my hope as well. With fall right around the corner, the wineries keep calling! I think we are doing great so far. Let's keep it up!

    Sounds like things are going great so far!! I want to try ghee, but have not so far. I feel like I've been grocery shopping for days! Hopefully my meals will be a little quicker this week. I wish I had the time, or wanted to make time to do things ahead. For quick, I'm starving meals, I bought the chile lime chicken burgers from Trader Joe's and the Aidells chicken apple sausage, plenty of greens too. One NSV, according to my Fitbit, I slept just over 8 hours, which I have not done in years. So I hope this continues! Also, my pants seem to fit just a tad better. Well, we all made it though the first week. Congrats! Let's keep it up.

    Hello ladies. So far things have been going better than expected. I don't feel like I have a lot of extra energy, but I don't feel sluggish. When I went grocery shopping, I just bought different meats, vegetables and fruits. I figure I'll slowly add other things (coconut aminos, ghee, etc.) as I go along. I have had a slight headache the last two days, but not sure if it is from the weather or Whole30! Have either of you used Ghee before? During my first Whole30 go around, I never did use it. Maybe it would bring a different flavor to my veggies! I can say that I LOVE crossing off each successful day on my calendar! It's a great reminder that this can be done. Keep me posted! Sandy

    Day 8 new member - Stuck!

    Hi Cathy! You got past the first week, so congrats!! This is my 3rd round, #2 was not successful Finding different things to eat, when you are a picky eater, can be challenging. I found that googling Whole30 meal plans, showed some really great recipes by different people. Maybe you would find something there. Do keep in mind that some of the recipes are not really Whole30 compliant, so just adjust it so you can eat it. Not sure why they say they are Whole30 when not everything is. But I found some great recipes. Good luck!!

    So far so good today! Just a slight headache. But other than that, it's been good. Yesterday, I found myself hungry in between meals, so today made a little bigger lunch. How about you? How is it going?

    Hi Pied Piper. I also am starting Whole30 today. This is my 3rd attempt. First one was successful, the second one was not. Looking forward to seeing your progress (NSVs) on the forum.
