  1. Hello! I'm wondering if anyone has come across a compatible bouillon or quick broth base in their Whole30 or food freedom travels. I love making soup, but sometimes I don't have enough broth on hand and I don't have enough time to whip some up from the veggie scraps and bones I keep in the freezer. Before Whole30, I would just mix normal bouillon into my soup and call it a day. Every single one I've come across, though, has MSG, dextrose, sugar, or something else non-compatible in it. Has anyone found a bouillon or similar product that is compatible? Or is there a way to make a powder or conc

I was just doing a pantry clean out to get ready for Monday (yay!) and I went to double check the ingredients in my TJ nutritional yeast since I've seen some other brands of nooch with rice flour in them. The ingredients list itself is completely compliant (inactive nutritional yeast (dried yeast, niacin (vitamin b3), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin b6), riboflavin (vitamin b2), thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin b1), folic acid, vitamin b12)) but there's a little disclaimer underneath that says it may contain traces of soy. Should I ditch this for the next 30 days, or is it okay? T

I was very excited to get Melissa's email last week about the new Whole30 brand salad dressings, and I immediately tacked the ranch and elderberry vinaigrette onto my Thrive order for the upcoming September Whole30. I was surprised, however, to see that the first ingredient listed for both was sunflower oil. During my first Whole30, I was careful to limit my use of seed oils, as indicated by the program rules.   6. I'm on day 28 of my Whole30, and the first thing I'm planning on reintroducing in a couple of days is legumes. Before Whole30, I would notice that beans would cause me some minor gas/bloating, but never peanuts, despite them both being legumes. Should I treat the two separately and reintroduce them at different times even though they fall under the same category? Thanks!
  7. Thanks for the input @kirbz and @Jihanna! I'm going to be making Swedish meatballs with a mix of pork and beef, so I'll definitely use the drippings to deepen the flavor of the chicken broth, since I do want a richer flavor for this gravy!

  9. Hi! Kombucha is definitely tricky to navigate, but this one seems to be compliant! I believe that the sugar listed on the label inside parentheses refers to the sugar used to feed the SCOBY, not to any added sugar for sweetness purposes. If extra sugar had been added, I'd think it would be listed on its own. The 5g of sugar listed are likely coming from the pomegranate juice, and perhaps the rose water.   10. Hi all! I'm planning on making a recipe this week that calls for beef broth to be used in the gravy. Unfortunately, I can't find a compliant beef broth (normal, stock, or bone) at my local supermarket. I do however have compliant chicken bone broth at home. Does anyone have experience making a similar swap? If so, did you notice any differences in taste? Thanks!
  11. I'm on day 18 of my Whole30 and for the past week or so, I've been consistently dreaming about eating non-compliant food. I know this is normal and a part of the timeline, but when it's happening in my dream, I'm aware of it and feel guilty about it because I think I'm actually eating these foods and I don’t know why. The cravings don't bleed into real life (...except for my poppy seed bagel dream. I miss you, bagels) but feeling guilty while I'm asleep is weird. Does anyone have any experience with this? If so, how long have you dealt with these dreams for? Is sleep-guilt normal?
  12. Hi! I'm on day 7 of my Whole30 and I've been trying to be super diligent about avoiding non-compliant ingredients and additives. Yesterday, without thinking about it, I brewed myself a cup of Celestial Seasonings' honey lemon ginseng tea, as it's my favorite of theirs. As I never drink my tea with sugar/honey/added sweeteners, I didn't think about the possibility of it being non-compliant - until I brewed another cup this morning to bring to work and thought about the name...."honey" lemon ginseng. Looked it up and here are the ingredients: Green tea, white tea, eleuthero, natural lemon and h
