    Starting Day 1 tomorrow 5/20! Anyone else?

    Unfortunately I live in a suburb of Youngstown Ohio and there are very few whole or natural food resources. No local farmers market except in summer. Then there are tons I have recently discovered that there are several grass fed farms not too far way. Once we get our garage cleaned out I plan to invest in a freezer and buy meat in bulk. In the meantime I'm pretty much stuck with the big chain grocery stores. Day 23!!!! One week left!

    Starting Day 1 tomorrow 5/20! Anyone else?

    Yay for Day 22! And woohoo for us! I finally had my kill all the things day on Saturday. Man was I cranky! Everything and everyone was annoying lol. Anyone else have a day or two like that? It was brutal. I have stayed away from my Larabars until today. I finally broke down and ate one as we were out and I was starving. I tried the Coconut Cream Pie one and holy guacamole is that yummy! I guess that's what 3 weeks without sugar will do for you. How is everyone feeling? My afternoon sluggishness is gone I know that I am going to continue on with this way of eating, with some off-roading, of course. I feel so much better I can't imagine going back to eating the way I was before. Now when I read a label, or think about fast food, I am totally disgusted. I just wish it was a little less expensive to eat healthy, whole foods. It's sad that they cost more than processed junk.

    I have made egg muffins before. They are tasty! You just gave me the reminder to make some. I like them with baby spinach and sausage in them. You can even wrap them, freeze them and then microwave for a quick go-to snack or breakfast. Let us know if you make them!

    Starting Day 1 tomorrow 5/20! Anyone else?

    1/2 way there! Day 15!!!! Yay us! I can't believe it has been 15 days already. I am feeling so much better, better than I have in years. It is amazing to realize how much processed crud I was putting into my body. Yuck! My energy isn't through he roof yet but it is a vast improvement. I can also see that I have lost some weight. I am glad that I gave the scale to my husband to hide or I would probably have weighed myself and started obsessing about it. I conquered 2 fears this weekend: went to my son's school carnival and did not indulge in even one morsel of fresh, hot cotton candy being eaten by everyone with me 2. Went out to dinner and didn't eat the chips/salsa, drink a margarita ( that everyone else was having) or eat the ice cream. That being said, the margarita craving was brutal. Today I am taking cupcakes- from a bakery, could not do it myself lol - to my son's class for his birthday. This will be tough as they are in my top 10 favorite foods. I need some breakfast ideas. Really bored with what I have been eating to get veggies in. How is everyone? Looking forward to hearing how you all are faring!

    Starting Day 1 tomorrow 5/20! Anyone else?

    Day 8!!!!! We made it through the first week! How is everyone? My back and legs are still achy, although not as bad. Headaches are subsiding too. I have found my sugar cravings aren't as constant more like super strong on occasion, but I would kill for a plain baked potato with sour cream. I'm getting a little bored with meat & veggies. I think I need to try out some recipes. I'm thrilled to have made it this far though!

    Yay for Day 5! I definitely feel better than days 2 & 3. Headache isn't as bad. I can relate to the aching calves. My back has been aching but I think it's due to my gut being irritated. The awful taste in my mouth has subsided slightly too. I think this is one of the most difficult things I have ever done. In the top 5 anyway Thanks for the chip recipe! Those sound great!

    Thanks so much for the great advice! I really appreciate it. I'm currently in day 3 misery : headache, nauseous, indigestion and fatigue. Oh, and the most horrible taste in my mouth. Willing myself to persevere through it! It has to get batter! How is everyone else doing?

    Happy Day 2! Or not, lol. The sugar dragon has reared it's massive head and my sword feels dull. Worst. Craving. Ever. I'm filled with determination to not let it get it me but holy guacamole this part isn't easy. Off to make my Whole 30 breakfast: scrambled eggs with tons of green peppers and onions- very delish and filling. Have not had any fruit yet as I'm afraid it will make me want more sugar. Any advice?

    Starting Day 1 tomorrow 5/20! Anyone else?

    I love seeing all of the posts! I just made my first batch of ghee and used some on a plate of steamed veggies... So yummy! My biggest problem so far, other than my kiddo overflowing the toilet (gross), is craving something sweet to drink. I'm drinking seltzer and trying to stay busy. I already feel a little less bloated but I have about 70 lbs to lose so its hard to tell. How is everyone doing so far?

    Starting Day 1 tomorrow 5/20! Anyone else?

    Yay it's day one of the rest of our lives! I have to say that it was nice to make myself breakfast this morning with actual fat in it and not feel guilty about eating it. My biggest problems are not drinking anything sweet and making sure I don't do the normal mom thingy of tasting what we prepare or what is left on our kid's plates. Oh, and checking the ingredient labels on everything. How about you all?
  11. Greetings! I am looking forward to day 1 of my new lifestyle! A little about me: 45 yr old married mom to one rambunctious 7 yr old boy. Full time college student (3 semesters left!) and small business owner. I am the heaviest I have ever been. Ugh. I gained almost 20lbs in the last 3 months due to a medication, I am weaning off of it, and pneumonia. I feel so unhealthy right now and am determined to see this through. I want my son, and husband, to see me healthy. My biggest fear is slaying the sugar dragon. Very nervous about it as I am definitely a sugar-Splenda addict. I would love some support and company as I embark on this adventure! Feel free to ask questions or give advice
