Day 4 coming to an end here and I escaped without biting anyones head off, although rush hour traffic pushed me a bit too far and I ended up in tears in the car- ridiculous I know!
Hoping that the rage subsides before tomorrow. I'm sleeping better already I have to say!

Hey November Whole30ers! I have SO MUCH to say today!!!!!!!!!

First, I've been following this thread since the 1st. You guys are SO INSPIRING! You are all motivating, inspiring, encouraging while also sharing all our weak and hardest moments. Just amazing!

Second, I want to share a HUGE (although it may not seem huge) victory for me. I'm on day 4 - which I've never reached before. I'm feeling pretty proud even though I have a long 26 days ahead. Last night, it was my nephews 1st birthday party and the whole family was there. My family is exactly understanding of our "lifestyle" or way of eating. Of course, there was a huge dinner (NOT a Whole30 compliant one, to say the least), cake, ice cream, cupcakes, the works!!!! I knew there would be and also knew that last night was one of my "tests" to plan for within this 30 days. Well, let me just say, I ROCKED IT! I ate my planned meal before we left. I stashed a banana and cashews in my purse to take with me. I didn't eat anything while I was there except for my cashews and banana! Of course, I had to hold and pass around the cupcakes and ice cream, I was questioned multiple times about why I wasn't eating, but I felt so strong and empowered by just saying NO and no even feeling bad about it. That was a powerful evening for me!!

Third, I need the expertise of you fellow Whole30ers! Is the "So Delicious" brand of unsweetened coconut milk Whole30 compliant? This is the brand we've always bought and it's currently in my refrigerator. My husband uses it daily. But I haven't touched it since I started my Whole30 though. After looking at the ingredients list, I feel that it is not compliant. However, I see people on Instagram using this for their coffee and other things. I know there is so much false Whole30 information on Instagram coming from people who carelessly use the #whole30 for EVERYTHING so I'm always very hesitant and careful. So, what do you guys think? Any advice on compliant liquid coconut milk?

Last but not least, thanks to each and every one of you for being inspiring, engaged, and dedicated to your health. Reading and being involved in this forum has helped me breeze through the first 4 days. I know I have rougher days ahead but now I have ZERO doubt that I'll make it to day 30! Thanks to you all!

KayKay - plan early! It's much easier to say "I have a special meal tonight, the chef knows" to wait staff, instead of having to do it all in front of everyone. Staff are also more available to help in quiet times, rather than rush hours. Chefs also have more options when they know in advance, they can alter shopping and prep accordingly. Eating before you go also means you don't need to eat, as you're not starving.

Keely - icecream makes me sick too, mostly it's the dairy, but most of them are also made with lots of nasties including glucose made from wheat. I love mexican too, if you can get some plantains, they go great with lots of spicy mexican things (and guac!).

LovingLife - I love the mayo too! Have you tried the Sunshine Sauce yet? I take extra Vitamin D and Magnesium for my bones.

Ladybugger - try peppermint tea instead of gum, it's very refreshing

Hi Rob I'm in the pre-diabetic category and so far fighting it off I found no grains and no dairy helped a lot with my energy levels, especially the grains.

Kristen - I'm not sure how far away Thanksgiving is, but marshmallows would mean you need to restart. There's quite a lot of yummy paleo thanksgiving recipes and sweet potatoes are all good

Welcome Rebekah I think you're going to feel great after 30 days. Get lots of sleep, detox may be rough for you.

Hazel - Have some sweet potato, it helps! It passes.

Hi, I'm in for Nov too. I'm from Ireland and this would be my 3rd whole30. I struggle staying paleo after though so I think that's my hurdle. Not that Nov is going to be easy either- but it's worth it and I'm looking forward to feeling good again. Did a big cook up day yesterday and cooked compliant butter chicken and meat and veg soup. Morning are hectic so hoping to try soup for breakfast on working days this time. I have a little boy but he won't be doing w30 with me.
Day 2 and the headache has landed, prob due to all the Halloween crap I ate before I started!

    Diagnosis: NORMAL THYROID
Blood results were just about PERFECT on the 3 different thyroid hormones (TSH, T4, and T3). There is a range you're supposed to be in for each one and my numbers were all VERY good the doc said. They've been either too low or WAY too high the last few years.
The student doctor said he had to look over the results three times to make sure he read it correct and I was the right person, after nurse told him I wasn't taking my meds.
I told them, in July when I stopped taking my med I was just praying for my thyroid to work normally despite only having half of it after removing the half that had a solid nodule in it back in 2001. I'd been on a range (30-90mgs) of thyroid med since 2008. But also in September I started eating to help my body, following the Whole 30 program and I'd never felt better! They said, "OK great, keep it up, especially if you don't have to take any medication."
Also, my blood pressure has always been good they've said. Today was 128/78 in August it was 134/90, so that is even better.
PRAISE THE LORD!!! Thanks Whole30 #ItStartsWithFood
Day 3 of Round 2 is going good. Seriously you need to do W30 if you haven't started.

It's Day 1: Who's with me? Let's get to know each other a little with a brief introduction. Who are you? Where are you from? Why are you embarking on this mission? What challenges do you anticipate? What are you doing today to make this a success?
Looking forward to getting to know everyone and getting healthy together!

Hi Hazel, I'm in Dublin too I've got some at farmers market in farmleigh - and also in M&S, in the green pack - british chipolatas - all the other M&S sausages have sulfites, even the ones without rusk, you have to label read like a maniac!

Tesco & some of the other big supermarkets sell the Debbie & Andrew brand - they're gluten free & pretty much Just Meat. They come in a pack of 6, look amongst the "Finest" sausages that come in a tray.

Also by the bye, Tesco's "Ingredients" fish sauce is compliant, the only ingredients are anchovies & salt. It's not normally with the other Asian stuff, but in a separate Ingredients section, if you're hunting.

I'm in! I started this morning. THis is going to me my first sucessful whole30 as I quit before at day 20! This time I am not going to weigh myself during but I will take photos and measurements tonight. I also want to expand my menus a bit this time (hello, eggs for breakfast...again!). Last time I ate to much fruit and never shook the sugar cravings so fruit is limited this time & inclued with meals as per ISWF.
