Starting Whole 30 on Oct. 1st! Anyone else?

@amberino21 I get them from the South Melbourne market, there's a free range chicken stall there. They tell me that there's nothing in them only chicken so all I can do is trust them on that one! They also do really delicious free range eggs Now, my W30 has had two false starts since the 1st of October I have justified each one with the fact that this may be my second last month in Melbourne and I want to enjoy everything the city has to offer. Here's the catch though, I feel so awful that I don't really want to go anywhere or do anything so I guess I better have a stronger determination to stay on track. I also realize in hindsight that I haven't been as prepared as I was the first time round and this really is key. So, I've started again today. Day 1. I want to get to the end of October , actually the 4th of November is my goal. Not feeling too chipper today mood wise, hoping a few days back on track will sort that. Glad to see everyone else is having W30 success, stick with it. Trust me, the off plan "treats" really aren't worth it!

I'm with you on the less snacking goal. I got through my first whole thirty but my bad habits remained in terms of mindless/emotional eating. And nuts/nut butters and fruit all fill teh gap nicely where cake etc used to live! So this time round I'm focusing on three meals a day and really want to beat that needing-something-sweet craving I have after every meal. I'm in Melbourne so my Day 1 is done! All good so far, looking forward to a nice sleep. M1- kale/rocket/spinach salad with olives, peppers and 2 boiled eggs with coffee and coconut milk- here's a pic! http://instagram.com/p/e6f7RkNzEB/ M2- Chicken sausage, roasted sweet potato, the remainder of M1 salad and an avocado. M3- Lean mince in home made tomato sauce with basil & olives and stock, with steamed broccoli and carrots. Here's to day two
  3. You guys are all killing it! Well done. I've been up and down but have committed to my second W30 starting on the 1st of October. I think my brain copes better with that kid of organization Can't wait to get back to feeling fabulous with lots of energy, just in time for the Aussie summer!

I did my first Whole 30 in August too and felt amazing after it. Week after week in September my off-roading deteriorated! And with one or two false starts for round two, I'm ready to commit to my second Whole 30 starting on the 1st! I really want to stick to three meals only and no snacking. This is something I wasn't strict on during my fist W30. Good luck everyone!
  5. Hello everyone! I see you're all absolutely killing it on the Whole 30. Mine got off to a bit of a false start, hence my absence here. Two baby showers, a work Whiskey event and a sunny road trip along the Great Ocean Road all played a part in my derailment. I was super upset with myself but I've gotten over it and am ready to pick myself up and start all over again on the 25th. Looking forward to getting that sparkly clean feeling back. Well done everyone, keep calm and whole 30 on
  6. Hi there! I started my second whole 30 today! I finished my first on the 30th of August and was feeling pretty fantastic. I stuck mainly on plan for the following week but last week I ate out alot and was socializing quite a bit. It has left me feeling pretty fuzzy and BLOATED! Seriously my watch got tighter over night Anyway, this time I want to really stick to three meals a day with no snacking because that's a habit I want to break. I know my results first time round were affected by the amount of fruit & nuts i was grazing on. I was surprised at how manageable the programme is though and it really does leave you feeling sparkly and new and happy! Really really happy! I will be following http://popularpaleo.com/ from the 1st Oct as she's undertaking her whole 30 then and is sure to have some delicious recipes up her sleeve. I'm planning for a whole 45 as I feel I would have benefited from a few extra days last time. Good luck everyone. The forums are great, definitely keep checking in.

Well I'm officially finished here in sunny Melbourne and feel pretty good. Funnily enough I have no major cravings for off plan food . Mid way through whole 30 all I could think about was this amazing lemon meringue pie from a cafe down the road. My skin is clearer, I have steadier energy and my mood is much more even. My sleep is good and I feel rested but I do wake at least once during the night (often to go to the bathroom) which used never to happen. I'd like to get to sleeping for an 8 hour block. I've learned some lessons, lost 10lbs and 14" which is super but I know I still have big issues with snacking and sugar cravings so I'll be continuing to work on that through the next 30 days. All in all a super experience and I feel pretty excited that I stuck to the plan entirely for 30 days, it's a good achievement. So well done us How is everyone else?

OK, it's taken me a while to muster the time and energy to post! It's day 23 for me and it's been going well in terms of the fact that I haven't broken my whole 30 but I am definitely not feeling the Tiger Blood. In fact, yesterday and today I'm shattered and just want to get into bed. Day 5 I felt AMAZING! Bursting with energy, felt light and was really really happy. But I haven't managed to feel that way since. I'm generally feeling good but not fantastic and the last two days I just want to graze all evening I also set myself a challenge of doing a pilates class every day of my Whole 30, so far so good on that front! In terms of benefits so far, my skin is clearer for sure and feels like butter! My moods are more even (I don't get home sick like the way I used to) I've lost a little bit of weight but not a lot which I find odd given how bad my diet was pre-whole 30. I'm loving all the cooking, I find it super therapeutic and feel great when I make something really yummy. Anyway, everyone seems to be going strong so well done!! I hope to report some tiger blood very soon

Hi folks! Said I better check in. I'm in the middle of day 3 and all is going well so far. Day 1 I was totally wiped, like thought I was going to have to leave work at 10:30am and crawl into bed. Possibly due to no porridge/milky coffee and catching up on a couple of late nights leading into day 1. Not wise. But yesterday and today have been good. I found starting the day with roasted sweet potato and chicken or steak with poached eggs is a breakfast that satisfies me and doesn't leave me feeling nauseous. I was never a fizzy drink girl so no major problems there, but I had gotten into a terrible snacking habit and generally on choc and cake. Not really missing them but I think I was mentally prepared for this, they're just not an option. So far so good on the booze, I had been limiting it last month and taming down my weekends But I've a party next week so that will be testing. Feeling less bloated already which is super. Happy day 2/3 depending on what part of the world you're in
