  1. I'm on Day 23 and feeling good overall. My clothes are definitely looser and I indeed have more energy. However, I definitely feel like I'm lacking some variety in food choices and really can't wait to have the luxury of going out for a meal! (My wife is looking forward to that too!) To be honest, I think that my cravings have crept up on me over the last three weeks. I started really strong and-- to this day-- have eaten completely Whole30 compliantly. Oddly, the first two weeks were not bad for me at all. It's these final 10 days that have me really looking forward to finishing the program, mainly to mix up my food options!! And really, the things I'm craving aren't even sugary junk foods. I could care less about having ice cream next week. Pizza... whatever. But some of the things I'm looking forward to the MOST are Fage nonfat Greek yogurt with breakfast. A few slices of Ezekiel toast. Some brown rice with a stir fry. A warm lentil soup. So here's my question: is it such a bad thing to crave foods that are actually good for you?
  2. I'm on Day 18 of my first Whole30 and feeling really good. I'll start off by saying that I'm GOING to finish this thing and I'm NOT going to crack today. But I'm not going to lie. I think today might be the toughest one for me so far. There's college football on today and my brain is yelling, "PIZZA! SUBS! WINGS! PRETZELS! BEEEEEERRRRR!!!!!" I know this is just a psychological thing, a conditioning that I've been a part of my whole life. It doesn't help that I've been eating lots of the same things for the last 18 days: eggs, sweet potatoes, turkey burgers, veggies, chicken of all sorts. So I think my body (or brain, or both) is also craving some variety. And it also doesn't help that every other commercial on game day is for exactly those foods that my brain is yelling for today. Chicken-or-egg situation: which came first-- the cravings or the commercials. Anyway, if you need me, I'll be eating celery sticks with guacamole.

I'm an elementary school teacher and don't have very much time to eat lunch, especially the Whole30 way: slowly, not gulping, enjoying the food I'm eating, etc. Sometimes I have the luxury of actually sitting down at my desk to just eat, but more often than not, I'm multitasking during lunch time. (Not ideal, I know, but other teachers out there know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.) So... what are some easy, quick, on-the-go (and/or portable?)-- yet FILLING-- lunches that you can recommend? Thanks in advance for your advice!
