  2. I usually have hardboiled eggs as a pre-workout meal, and tuna (usually) or chicken (if there is any left over) as a post WO meal. I am at loss as to what to eat post workout regarding carbs, we don't have a big variety of sweet potato where I live, mainly regular potatoes and red/purple potatoes.
  3. Sorry about that, I posted from my phone and was unable to link to my log. Its not so much as not liking the food I cook, but I'm tired of not being able to eat freely. I understand what you guys are saying about weight, but I expected at least my mood and energy level to be consistent with the first ten days. It might be my midterms, and general life/college frustration, but I also feel pudgy and not "light" like I did the first 10 days. I've been trying to sleep at least 8 hours every night, but even though I go to bed early enough and allow myself time to sleep I still wake up after 7 hours feeling rested and am not able to go back to sleep. Is that harming the process in any way? Regarding physical activity, I've been doing crossfit two times a week, and functional training three times (eating the appropriate snack before and after), last week I was only able to go three times to cross fit due to my midterms. I just found out that I have runner's knee (patellofemoral syndrome) so I'm going to have to take it easy and only bike/swim for about a month or two until my quads get stronger and the swelling in the cartilage in my knee decreases.
  4. I'm on day 14 today, and besides having some mustard that wasn't allowed (didn't know at the time), I've been super strict. However, I am seeing no results: the improvements in my mood and energy level from the first week are gone, I noticed no weight loss and my acne is starting up again. I really don't want to quit the program, and I'm not going to, but its really discouraging and I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I've been really anxious these past few days,so I may be overeating, but despite one day in which I had a banana as a snack, I always eat on meal-time. What should I do? My overall goal is to lose 20/25 pounds (maybe less depending on muscle growth), mainly from fat on my legs.

    Help, traveling on day 23

    Thanks MrsStick! I know I'll find food to eat while I'm out, the problem is I'm probably mainly going to be the mornings (or meal 1). You're right, I'm sure I'll figure it out once I'm there. I should worry more about making it to day 23 (I'm only on day 7!) thank whats going to happen then... I just tend to be very anxious and worry about everything pre-maturely. Thank you all so much for your suggestions though!

    Help, traveling on day 23

    I live in Argentina so gluten free restaurants are hard to come by in the small beach town/city we're gonna be staying, the hotel can't make special accommodations sadly, and there might be a fridge in my assigned room, but that is determined when I get there (so that's a good option!). Eating non-compliant food is not an option, I was wondering if maybe I could get away with eating a piece of fruit with coffee in the morning and have the three meals later in the day (we're probably going to be sleeping late anyways, so my first meal may be lunch!).
  7. Hi! I'm going on a three day "vacation"/senior trip on day 23 of the program; I didn't realize this issue when I started. My problem is not weather to continue it or not, I do want to keep going (not drinking shouldn't be that bad), the issue is weather or not I'm gonna be able to eat whole30 compliant food, especially for breakfast (I'm pretty sure I'll find salads and meat with veggies that are compliant). Breakfast is included with the hotel we're staying in, and it's probably going to be croissants or maybe fruit or toast. Any suggestions on what I should do?
  8. Stacyjean86 I'm feeling great today, but I was expecting to feel bad, so maybe my expectations were lower, haha. But I read it was completely normal to feel like that! Power through it and lets keep going!
  9. Hi! I started yesterday too!! Congrats on your weight loss, and I'm sure that this is what will propel the second part of it! I also crossfit, but since I couldn't make it on time yesterday, I'm not sure how its going to go with the Whole30: any advice?

    Starting Sept 16

    Hi! I'm starting today too! It's the first time I'm attempting it, so I'm a little hesitant, will need tips on how to deal with it in social situations, but I'm ready to give it 100%!
