  1. Yeah, that was one of the first books I ever read on this subject and it was a big eye opener. I do still occasionally have a binge but I've learned to recognize it and acknowledge it while in the process and that usually helps stop it. Then I take that and work out the "why" to find out what I'm really looking for. I have found though that there is some food that invokes a binge type eating reaction in me just because of what it is so I have found that for me it isn't always emotions.

That's really interesting because I have found that the Lara Bars I was having as an emergency snack were a culprit. I've also found I need to eat more starchy/bulky veggies which helps as well. I have not tested just straight up nuts but I believe I will just to see if that was what it is in the bars.
  3. What I found that really helped with curbing the binge eating was to find out why I was doing it in the first place. Reading both Breaking Free from Emotional Eating and When Food is Love by Geneen Roth really helped me.

Yes, actually I'm dealing with much the same thing. After my reintroductions I started adding minor things like some sugar in things and not being too worried about soy in my tea. I also started having the bad cramping with a feeling I had to go. I went back to a clean W30 for this last week and it's finally starting to subside but hasn't completely cleared. I'm still not sure what was the culprit or if it was just a build up of several things that my now cleaner system can't tolerate. Of course my case is a bit different since you didn't reintroduce anything except one thing. In addition to removing the stevia, you may want to read up on the other protocols like the the autoimmune and the low FODMAP to see if removing some of the items on those lists. I know that's going to be my next step if things don't settle down soon.

    Egg Intolerance

I also didn't use eggs for my W30 since I hadn't eaten them for a year due to an allergy test. I just used the same meal template for my breakfast (Meal 1) as all the other meals using the same meats and veggies. I did occasionally make a more "breakfast-y" meal by using fried sweet potato hash and compliant breakfast sausage.

I have nomnom Paleo's short ribs in the crock pot right now for dinner. I have to say I'm getting more thoughts about "just a little ____ won't hurt" more since I've completed the 30 days. It's almost like my mind is saying "wait, we're not done yet?" and keeps testing it.

    Yes, that does make sense.

Yeah, I took the even the 45 and 60 are post 30 as being part of leaving the thread. If that's not the case, then I'll continue on in this thread.

Actually we were asked to not continue on in this thread by the Mods. They said even though we continue on we need to post it in another section.

Sounds like everyone got something good out of it, I'm glad to hear it! I did lose 10 pounds and I'll certainly take that. I don't plan to step on the scale again until after my next 15 days. So I'm heading over to the new thread to continue on.

Hooray! Even though I'm continuing on for another 15 days at least, it does feel like an accomplishment since I did complete the Whole 30. I had the biggest craving last night to have a piece of chocolate. I kept thinking, eh it won't hurt to just have one little piece especially since you're going to be staying on it. Thankfully I was able to tell myself that I've come so far and since I'm still having mild gastric issues having that piece of chocolate would be detrimental to my progress. I do plan to weigh myself tomorrow just so I can see what's happening with that. Since I'm so large weight fluctuations of up to 10 pounds don't really register with my clothes. I'll be interested to see what, if anything, I've actually lost.

I found some at my Sprout's market. It's called Jones All Natural Little Pork Sausages and does not contain sugar.

If you have a Trader Joes near you, try thier coffee. That is my go-to place for coffee and I really like thier organic types and the peaberry coffees they have. Oh, and I am definitly in for another 15 days. I'll see if I need to continue on at that point or start re-introductions.

I have to say that I'm not seeing "amazing! Life-changing!" results either. I'm still having some digestion issues (belching after a meal and (maybe TMI) elimination issues) and not feeling the "tiger blood". That being said, I do see improvements. My acne has cleared up tremendously even though I still have a couple of cysts trying to fight their way through (and that may be my hormone replacement that I'm on). I am sleeping much better and not waking up during the night nearly as much as I was and I am also feeling more energy creeping in every day. Because of these slow but positive changes, I do plan to continue for at least another 15 days and maybe 30 to give my body more time to heal. Because as I've gotten older my issues have just gotten worse with what I was doing so seeing improvements, even small ones, is excellent.

I've just actually started doing some of the recipes I've booked marked. Usually I was just cooking seperate items and then putting them together for a meal. I tried a pork shoulder with apples & ginger in the crock pot that was great yesterday. Today I made the chocolate chili from Well Fed and that was excellent. http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2009/02/22/my-favorite-chili-recipe/ and http://paleomg.com/honey-ginger-apple-shredded-pork/ just leave out the honey in that one, I found it to be plenty sweet with the apples.
