Hi Hilde - Day 1, it all starts today. So happy I have some partners to join me in the 30 days. This will be so worth it and just get us a bit closer to food freedom. There is nothing stopping us!

Hi Dana - Awesome! Thanks so much for the tips! I've been looking up new recipes so I don't get bored this time around and will definitely be sure to stay prepped throughout the weeks. Cheers to round two!

Hello! My name is Mayté, I'm from Ecuador and am starting my 5th reset on June 1st. In almost a year and a half I have learned a lot about myself and my body, specially how it reacts to certain foods. I also lost more than 20 pounds. Since my last reset on this January, I went back to all of the bad habits and also had serious back pain that had prevented me from doing almost any exercise. Add some mayor life changes and there you go: using food and sugar as prize, consolation, companion...
I need my control back, so here I am, joining you on these great 30 days, looking forward to the delicious meals and oh, that sweet Tiger Blood!

Thanks in advance for your support and company!

Hi! My name is Dana :) I did my first Whole30 back in April and I’m ready to do another round! I’m glad I found this forum, May 29th is the perfect time for me to start again.
One thing I found that helped me was to do a little introduction week before fully going in on Whole30. So that means slowly taking out the foods that were bad, instead of stopping cold turkey and going right in.
I also made sure to find easy and fun recipes that I enjoyed. I DEFINITELY made sure to meal prep and be prepared for lunch and dinner, because those were my hardest meals.
    I’m excited to go again!

    Time to start anew!
I did it before...twice! So what’s stopping me now?

My motivation : (1) getting rid of inflammation in my right foot ; (2) getting rid of coming and going aches which are probably caused by inflammation; (3) fear of diabetes ; (4) impending menopause
My goals : (1) state of tiger blood ; (2) gaining control of eating habits ; (3) weight controle
My little helpers : (1) awareness of Hungry Angry Lonely Tired ; this thread to keep me accountable ; (3) Whole30 Day by day

    Hey Everyone,
I will also be starting the Whole30 on November 6 (crazy busy week of travel and making a wedding cake….so it will be best to start afterwards.
This is my second Whole 30 (or maybe technically my 4th? i don't know how to define the other). I started my first Whole30 in February of 2016 and quickly noticed how amazing I felt both physically and mentally. Because I felt so good and have struggled with my weight and PCOS for pretty much all my life I continued on for 90 days in total (thats why I'm not sure if i count this as my 4th, but it doesn't matter lol). It was amazing!! I had a new zest for life, lots of energy, better moods and outlook. My anxiety was under control and I had lost 30lbs!! Unfortunately over the next year a lot of stress was piled on and I went back to eating sugar to deal with it.  Things have been especially stressful recently and my anxiety is back in full force. I have also put my weight back on and have 0 motivation to get myself to the gym. This is why I have decided that it is time to get back on the Whole30. Back following something that I know works for me.
I really can't wait to get back on track. I participated in the Forum for my first 30 days last time and found it to be a great way to stay accountable. I looks forward to being on this journey with you all and sharing some recipes too!
I have some friends who have said they were interested in the Whole30, but I am unsure if they will follow through. I completed my Whole90 solo last time, so I am not too concerned.
Time for me to start meal planning!
    Lets do this everyone!!!!

Best of luck with your new adventure! There is definitely a huge support system in this community. I'm in the same boat with big expectations for 2017 and a small support system. We can do this!! It is worth it!

    Hi everyone,
I've done two whole30's (one was a whole44) in the past and felt GREAT after. I kept it up then bad decisions kept creeping back. The last whole30 I completed was in July 2015. I started a new job early this year which has been stressful but I am not going to let that keep me away from good food decisions anymore!!!  I am taking back my health and my life.  I am pledging to start January 2nd.  I'm scared but also excited.
I am going to shop for whole30 foods prior to the 2nd and start my prepping before I have any excuse to bail.
I wish everyone the best in this journey - it's not easy but it will be worth it.  Now, I need to just STICK TO IT!

@cashnic72 - hey, aren't you supposed to support me toward forsaking all non-compliant food and keeping me away from the dark side?
Seriously, reading the posts in this topic is a big push to keep me on track. Thank you for posting, fellow-whole30ers! Just curious how the silent ones are doing. Let's hear from you!

Weekend almost over, and back to work and new week. I tried two new things this weekend, zoodles (I saw the photo above and it encouraged me - thanks, cashnic72 and roasted Brussel sprouts/green apples/onion and garlic....so delishious.  I purchased a little tool at Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $7 and it worked great, and fast, to make the zoodles. They do have a LOT of water to wick out, but it is worth the time. The leftover zoodles were used in a cold chopped sale with carrots, onions and cherry tomatoes with a rice wine vinegar and oil dressing. Even my husband liked the zoodles, and he is a pasta guy! We are on the home stretch for our W30, very exciting. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

One of the silent viewers here, so far overall not too bad even with last minute plan changes where I had to go out to eat several times this weekend. Found places that I could customize a salad to work for me. Of course this meant hungry for the next meal was sooner than anticipated.
My goal is to do this at least for 45 days before a very slow reintroduction phase.

    Hey there,
Chin up! Lots of possibilities - check out NomNomPaleo : when you use the app you can filter out lots of whole30 compliant recipes to drown the food-boredom. Or the Well Fed cookbooks. Sometimes it takes just a twist using different herbs. Or just rethinking the recipes you would use when you're not on whole30 with some adjustments. Just use your imagination!
Remember day 11 is one of the hardest in the package. It does get better!

Starting day 13 this morning - I'm a early due to European time and starting July 31
Day 11 and 12 were pretty rough. I suffered from a heavy bout of the flu, so ended up eating nothing on day 11 and just 3 spoonfulls of carrot-potato mash and a banana on day 3. Not exaxcly the perfact meat template, but this morning seems to be ok.

    Keep going all of you!

Still going, day 19 for me.
B: 2 eggs, pico de gallo, 1/2 avocado, some strawberries and banana
L: chicken salad with can chicken, avocado, almond slivers, diced Apple, diced pickle and boiled egg. Handful blueberries
D: planned to have chicken breasts grilled and attempting cauliflower fried rice I found on mom mom Paleo. I can tell my kids and husband are SUPER excited about it. *totally sarcastic*
Funny story...my 8 year old told me that lately she's been poopping a lot and it's all soft...versus hard pellets!! I know, TMI!! But I'm sure it's because she's eating what I'm eating, which has clearly helped her bathroom habits. LOL
more rain for us down in Houston. Too much, I'm sick of it. But hey my shorts fit sooo much better this morning so who cares, let it rain!!

Well, I ate four meals today. But through it all I finally got adequate veggies in my body.
We went out to eat at an American-food restaurant tonight, and I was prepared to not eat (because I'd had a little meal a few hours earlier so that I didn't have to complicate things for my family), but my dad insisted I get something. I was apprehensive about being "that customer" with all the dietary restrictions, but with some moral support from my dad, I ordered a plain grilled salmon and a baked potato (and Dad asked them to throw some veggies on the side). So...I successfully acquired Whole30-compliant food at a regular (non-salad-bar restaurant)! It was all amazing; the salmon was grilled to perfection, the potato was...nicely potatoey, and the veggies were just what I needed (we asked what they were fried in, and the waiter said "just regular vegetable oil, no butter" so we deemed them safe by eating-out standards).
ALSO, I ordered a spiralizer from Amazon a few days ago and it came today!! So I'm going to test it out on my last zucchini tomorrow. Crossing my fingers that it'll work; Dad was very not on board with me getting one, but he finally conceded "if it's under $15." So it's a little cheap. But we'll see if it works!
    Meals:
    Breakfast: 1 hard-boiled egg + 1 kiwi
Lunch: 1 can sardines + some marinated artichokes + many blueberries
Dinner #1: bowl of taco meat + salad (just lettuce and carrots) w/ olive oil and red wine vinegar + 3 prunes
Dinner #2: grilled salmon + pan-fried zucchini, beans, and carrots + a minuscule amount of baked potato

    Yeah everyone!
I slept through all the way last night - first time in ages. It may have been helped by two hour yoga and a epsom salt bath though.
Hope everyone's doing well. I'm reaching the food boredom stage a little bit but got a BBQ tonight at my parents, so at least there's no washing up!

    WHOA-OA WE'RE HALFWAY THE-ERE...
(And now I'll have that song stuck in my head all night.)
I ate a lot today. Partially because I wanted to consume as much mayonnaise as possible, but also because I just wanted to eat everything. But there was a lot less guilt about today than I would experience normally, because everything I ate was healthy!
    Meals:
Breakfast: 1 hard-boiled egg smashed w/ mayonnaise and spices + bowl of raspberries
Lunch: 3 small salmon burger patties (made collectively from 1 6-oz can salmon, 1 egg, chopped onion, Dijon mustard, basil, and other spices) with mayonnaise, marinated artichokes
Dinner: 2 garlic herb chicken sausages with mayonnaise and Dijon mustard, 4 chopped carrots fried in olive oil w/ spices + 1 pear + 1 wild plum + 3 prunes
Evening indulgence: 1 bottle Guava Goddess kombucha
I feel like I ate something more for lunch...ah well; I'll probably remember in the middle of the night.
