Hi Redrighthand, hopefully a moderator will chime in soon and clarify this all for you. However, eating fruit at the end of your meal DOES NOT require a restart. I don't actually think eating fruit in between meals requires a restart either although it certainly isn't recommended. Whether you continue to eat fruit after a meal though will largely depend on whether your sugar dragon is kicking in (in which case it is better not to eat it) or whether it is just a nice thing to include in your meal. Almond flour is definitely okay during the Whole30. For me the comfort noodles aren't SWYPO as I rarely ate pasta its just a good, quick nutritious meal. The prosciutto with it sounds yummy

    salmon cakes?

Hi Melenina, i use the ISWF recipe and use steamed sweet potato or I grate it and add it raw. Both ways work but my preference is steaming them. They are amazing. Michelle

    am I eating too much?

Hey Martine, for any 'snack's they actually recommend a mini meal - basically the protein, vege and fat but a smaller version of your 3 main meals. Michelle
  5. Hey there, I'm in a similar boat to you with a lot of weight to lose. Not sure how much as I haven't weighed myself in a year or so but I would say 40 to 50 kilos. Hurts to say that. I've been on the Whole 30 for 29 days today and had felt (by the fit of my clothes) like I had lost some weight until this week when I feel like my work pants are tighter. Not sure what is going on there but it might be hormonal (it's that time of the month - sorry to the guys out there who might feel its too much info). The program makes sense to me though and I am going to give it a red hot go and trust the process that my body needs longer to adjust due to my dieting and weight loss history. I have briefly thought about tweaking my food intake to less food or lower proportions of carbs and fats but have decided that that is unlikely to be the answer to weight loss. At least not at this stage. As I've seen on a few posts in the Forum, more food seems to be better than less. I'm looking at this as a long term lifestyle change not just a diet and under eating doesn't seem to be the answer. Anyway, not sure if this helps, but as you mentioned above it is good to know that you aren't alone. For me I am at Day 29 and planned to do 60 days but ate an entree at lunch today that wasn't compliant so need to do a restart. Not sure if I will do the 60 days compliant that I had originally planned. I'll check out my diary first as to whether that is feasible or if going for 30 is best. Keep at it. While I can't say I have had the result you are after I really do believe this program a bit of a winner. Oh, I should mentioned that I also have had ongoing issues in the BM area. I've also been taking some digestive enzymes as I was feeling pretty uncomfortable after meals, this has helped a lot. For me (at this stage) I am thinking that the ongoing BM issues are just a sign my body is still adjusting. So I'll keep doing what is good for it until it sorts it self out.

They are good. I've had them several times including for brekky. They are easy to whip up too. Understand about the SWYPO though.

    Missing the crunch

I made this last night and it was pretty yummy. The crunch does come from nuts but what I did was only bought enough for what I was making so there were none left to snack on - http://www.marksdailyapple.com/crispy-nut-and-herb-fried-chicken-with-creamy-avocado/ Might satisfy the need. BTW, it says 4 cups of crushed nuts - I only used one cup for 3 chicken breasts and it was fine.

Soooo sick of oil/vinegar for salad dressing...

    I love this one http://www.whatrunslori.com/2012/05/raw-creamy-paleo-cilantro-sauce/comment-page-1/
  9. Thanks Tom, have been taking digestive enzymes for about 3 days and it has made a huge difference, not quite right yet but so much better. Thanks again, the enzymes have been fab.

HI, this is more of a meal than a side but I love Comfort Noodles - http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2011/08/18/comfort-noodles/ Zucchni, eggs, garlic and oil. Super quick and tasty. I had it for brekky today.

    Prepping things ahead of time

Hi TIna, would you mind sharing your ketchup recipe? Would love to make some. Michelle
  12. Love your works CherylG, that's the same way I feel.
  13. Thanks panda girl. Will need to do some more vege shopping but will try dropping out the raw veges and see if that works. I'll also up my fat intake - I'm a bit variable with it some meals I know I'm not having enough. I am hoping a moderator will chime in as well I've just had a bowl of comfort noodles (zucchini noodles with egg) and some pulled pork and am again really uncomfortable. it wasn't a huge serve either. I did have one roast pecan .... could a nut do this??? Probably not:)
  14. Hi, I am on Day 16 and going well except for in the last week it isn't unusual for me to feel bloated and uncomfortable after meals. I think that maybe I am eating too much and maybe need to slow down to let those messages get to my brain that I've had enough. OR, is it possible that I am eating too much salad and not enough cooked veges. I eat probably a handful or 2 of baby spinach most meals with tomato, cucumber, capsicum. I have started to branch out to other variations of salad and some cooked veges (broccoli, carrots). I eat sweet potato a couple of times a day too. So my question is could raw veges, I'm thinking baby spinach, be causing the tummy upset? I am slowly becoming constipated as well and have read about digestive enzymes but wanted to work on modifying my food first. One of the things I'll do to address this is up my fat intake. M
