I would think maybe that you are trying to find out what is healthier for your body since we are all different. this would also cover when you reintroduce. Kids love experiments so maybe seeing it as a type of experiment that will help you figure out what works for you.

I thought I had burned a batch once but I kept it anyway and when I used it it was probably the best tasting batch I have ever made. Very nutty with a deep flavor. So I say keep it taste it and see. It might just be a happy accident.

Everyone is different but I know that gluten absolutely effects both my digestion and mood. I bloat immediately and over the next several days I have a severe increase in mood swings and anxiety. Its like my personality changes its so severe. I have tested it multiple times enough to know it is absolutely gluten and not worth it at least in my case. Its not what I expected either but it is real.

@Babsie95 good questions.  I was concerned about that too, but I found the portions to be perfect, although I’m not a big eater.  But when I emptied the package onto one of my regular-size plate, it more than filled it up- lots of protein and veggies.  I will say I think only two of the eight dishes had starchy veggies, so if you regularly want that, you would have to supplement.

I would use coconut cream in something like this and I have in other soups with success. That being said I like coconut and am not sensitive to the flavor.

Its much less a question of CAN and much more a question of WANT.  Ask yourself if you want to do it. If you do then you CAN. However maybe there are reasons you don't WANT to and that is ok its just something you have to look at and make a commitment if you decide you WANT to you may decide you do but need to wait for whatever reason. Its your decision but please know that if I was able to do it anyone CAN do this

It doesn't have to be complicated. Eat grilled/roasted meats and veggies, eggs and healthy fat. You don't have to use recipes simply make food. Use spices to switch things up. It can be expensive and complicated but doesn't have to be. Good luck. I'm sure you will do great

I was asked on another thread about my cold brew system so I thought I'd open a thread here so that if anyone wants to make their own cold brew, this might be helpful.
There are loads and loads of instructions and 'recipes' online but they're mostly written by snobby coffee companies and some are a bit contradictory so here's what I do.
I use a 1 gallon Ball Mason jar (purchased from Target https://www.target.com/p/1-gallon-collector-s-mason-jar-clear-ball-174/-/A-12794404#lnk=sametab)
2 cups of Trader Joe Dark Roast coffee and fill the mason to the shoulder of the jar with cold water... stir as you're filling it up so the grounds get saturated.
Pop the lid on and stick it in the fridge for 24 hours, stirring once or twice when you remember (or more.. sometimes I leave it for a couple days and it never gets bitter or sour).
When it's done brewing, strain it into a large pitcher (I use a random plastic juice jug I found at a discount store for $5) through a sieve lined with four layers of cheese cloth.
Compost the grounds or spread them in your garden if you're lucky enough to have a garden

To serve, I put 1 scoop of Great Lakes Hydrolysate Collagen (available here for both Canada and US), ice cubes and coconut milk into a mason jar and then pour in the coffee and voila!  It's good, cheap and cheerful

Spiralized veggies are awesome and compliant. If it is simply the veggie cut into that shape.  The difference is when they take the sweet potato (or other veggie) and process it down and then "reformat" it to become noodles.  In this form it is a highly processed food that is far from its natural state and made specifically to feel, taste like, and replace pasta
