    Help! Too much fruit!

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I've managed to only have about 1 serving per day since my posting, and I feel great. I'm sticking to lower sugar berries. I might try to go a few days without fruit to see if I can reduce the cravings even more. How often do you recommend items like sweet potatoes and carrots for someone like me? You know I'll go for the sweetest thing remaining! Especially with regard to fat loss, do I need to limit these strictly?
  2. Hi everyone, I am a fruit addict. Well, really I'm a sugar addict, but since I cut out refined sugar, I'm getting my fix with fruit these days, and I can't seem to stop. I've read all about limiting fruit for the purposes of weight loss and acne (my two challenges), and I think it's finally starting to sink in. I need some motivation and encouragement. Fruit is so easy to reach for and so portable. I just need to chop up vegetables to make them more convenient, I think . Any suggestions or tricks you've used to get off of the fruit-crack?? Should I cut it out completely, or try to limit myself to 1-2 servings per day? Is cold turkey more effective (haha--maybe I should replace the fruit with cold turkey!). I'd really like to lose some body fat and get my skin truly clear. I've been recovering from a couple of gym injuries (rib contusion and broken toe), and I haven't been able to get in my Crossfit workouts lately, and the fat is creeping back in.... Thank you for your encouragement!

I tried the digestive enzymes, and the results are AMAZING! No more bloating, and things are moving along...if you know what I mean. Thank you for the suggestion!!!

Can't believe I've never tried DEs! I'll give them a go and let you know if I find them helpful. Thank you, everyone!

Where do you buy digestive enzymes? I've heard Robb Wolf talk about them, too, but I'm not familiar with brands or recommended dosages. Suggestions?

OK, more info! I do have a history of ulcerative colitis, but I've been in remission for about 4 years, and I've managed to get rid of all medications by managing my diet. I eat a lot of the same foods on a regular basis: eggs, chicken, beef, salmon, sardines for protein; spinach, sweet peppers, broccoli, romaine lettuce, a rare sweet potato; berries (black, blue, raspberries, and strawberries), pineapple, cantelope, pears; and for fats I eat olives, olive oil, coconut butter, avocado, and some nuts (had to cut out nuts this week as a trial because I was getting waaaay too hooked on almond butter and eating it like it was going out of style!). I have to cook most veggies because raw ones in bulk are hard on my gut. I eat Zone-like portions based upon my lean body mass, but I try to listen to my body and tweak it as needed. Please let me know what other info would help. Thanks!!
  7. I've been Paleo/Whole 9 for about 4 weeks, and my gut has slowed down like nobody's business! I was eating fish, eggs, grains, legumes before this (I was dairy-free), but no chicken, beef, etc., until I started paleo. I'm sure this could be a big factor with the constipation, but I thought I'd have a flatter stomach without all the sugar and lectins. I take probiotics and fish oil daily. Any tips, please?? Thanks!
