    Starting Whole 30 on September 5th

    I miss pickles, too! I have the Bubbie's dill, but I'm not crazy about them. Prior to the Whole30 I was slightly obsessed with Trader Joe's spicy pickled vegetables, which are not even the slightest bit sweet. I was so disappointed to see sugar in the ingredients. They will be making an appearance very soon (after the wine)!

    @Mistyfire Have you been able to figure out what foods were triggering your rosacea? Mine is a pretty mild case, but I know if I have a glass of red wine my face will turn beet red! It also tends to flare up more in the winter when the humidity is lower. My reintroduction plan is to continue eating mostly Whole30 at home, while being more relaxed when eating out. I will add small amounts of dairy (I do miss cheese!) and see how I feel. Corn and beans will come up when we go back to my favorite Mexican restaurant, I'll just need to pick one at a time. Since my last Whole30, I had pretty much been eating "all the things" and falling back into some habits of mindless snacking. These past few weeks have helped tremendously and I'm looking forward to the next steps!

    Happy day 20! That just sounds so much better, it's downhill from here! I've been having the strangest dreams lately. Last night I dreamed I went to the gym but forgot my shoes and had to sit and watch everyone else exercise! I've also had food dreams that involve things I would never crave in real life. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

    Starting Whole 30 on September 5th

    Day 17! I keep thinking only "2 more weekends"! I'm finally in a good routine of meal planning with a pantry stocked with items that can turn into a meal pretty quickly (canned salmon, compliant marinara,etc). I work from home and don't have the temptations of a break room full of treats, which makes it easier, but my social life is sad right now. My husband is not doing this with me, but he is enjoying our dinners and not complaining! Hang in there everyone!

    Hi Maria. Since the community forum isn't moderated, why don't you go to the home page of the forum and find the thread "trouble shooting your Whole30", it's under the Whole30 program section. You should find someone who may be able to help. You could try cutting back on the coconut oil and red meat and use more olive oil or avocado oil. Has your HDL gone up as well?

    Starting Whole 30 on September 5th

    You can add me to the Kult, I'm making the Kahlua pork tomorrow! So close to the half way point and still feeling good, but I do miss my wine (or today I'd like a beer!). We're cooking chicken wings on the grill tonight and I think I'll roast a big pan of vegetables to have plenty of leftovers for the next few days. I haven't noticed any huge changes, but my clothes are fitting better and I'm feeling more calm in general, so it's all good.

    Starting Whole 30 on September 5th

    I haven't been checking in, but things are going well so far. I've found it much easier the second time around,even though it's been a couple of years since my first. I think I'm more prepared mentally this time (I was learning as I went along the first time). Other than being tired and sleepy the first few days, I've felt really good and I'm waking up before my alarm goes off. I've been trying new recipes to keep from getting bored, though I have to say I'm getting a little sick of eggs for breakfast! I haven't had any social obstacles to overcome yet. I need to start researching some restaurant menus soon, I don't want to become a hermit!

    I'm so sorry you're struggling. The beauty of the Whole30 is you don't have to be hungry, so focus on nourishing yourself! Making chili and going to the farmers market is a great place to start. You can do this!

    Starting Whole 30 on September 5th

    I'm also starting on Monday! It will be my second Whole30, my first was two years ago. I've kept a lot of the good habits I established, while others fell by the wayside. I've had some mild joint pain and skin problems that I hope will improve and I haven't been sleeping as well I should. I've been shopping and cleaned out the pantry. I plan on making some salad dressings and other condiments this weekend and look forward to some meals on the grill. It's just my husband and me and he'll eat whatever I cook! The only thing I will truly miss is wine, but I've done this before and I can do it again!

    Help me break up with my scale

    I needed to read this today! The Scale Addicts links were awesome. I finished my first W30 a few weeks ago and immediately after started weighing daily. Everything was fine until the day I "gained" a pound (even though my clothes are loose and I've lost inches, I let it bother me). The scale is now out of the house. I can now focus on how I feel today and not that stupid number!
