I am a business woman in the home construction industry (own and operate two companies while managing another) and wife. I love gardening, and animals are my passion. I have been a honey beekeeper for 14 years and have a dozen laying hens. I love fresh real food!

I hear you and have been too leary of reentry. Went grocery shopping yesterday with that in mind and couldn't bring myself to even decide on a plan. I'll stay compliant for now, but enjoy hearing about your results!

Thanks for the link to the reintrodution section, will definitely check that out. Weighed in yesterday and have lost 5! That's pretty good, but was not high on my reasons for the WH30. It is nice to be comfortable in my clothes. But,,,,, I am so happy that my daughter is joining me this month. She is totally new to WH30 and healthy eating in general. This is going to be fun!

OMG JenX thanks for pointing out this article. I would have missed it otherwise. So, so true. I have been worrying about the fact that during the WH30 I have been telling myself "I'm just not eating that right now" when the Dragon tempts, and "I can have that after WH30". What happens after the WH30,,, how will I talk the dragon down then??? One of my biggest temptations is pasta. And, just as the article suggests, it's triggered by my husband being away on business or hunting trips. He doesn't eat pasta, so it's always been my treat during those times. Even now, as soon as he is planning a trip, my mind (dragon) starts planning a pasta dinner for one. Powerful stuff ~ hard to adjust my thinking! And, I'm not even craving pasta now and it still happens! Thanks again for pointing out the article; it's great to have this information explained so clearly.

rdallas05, I use meal planners all the time. I'm just not good at pre-planning on my own no matter how many books and web sites I have available. The real plans site is good, but they admit to having limitations. They only supply one meal per day. Otherwise it's a good site and growing. I continually use Paleo Plan (paleoplan.com). It supplies 3 meals and a snack per day. I like that I am encouraged to make meals that I would have never dreamed of making and really likeing them. The grocery lists for each week are a great tool. Some of the food is not strict Whole30 compliant, but can be tweeked to be. Perfectly good for a paleo lifestyle way of eating though. Hope that gives you an idea,,,, have a great day 29!

Hi all,,, wondering if anyone has checked out Real Plans, an meal planner that includes a paleo setting? And if anyone else attended their webinare tonight? It is endorsed by No Nom. I subscribe to 3 or 4 of these and an looking for a good one to use after the W 30 finishes.

Hi everyone! Day 25 already,,wow. It's getting to be regular routine with the food and I have noticed two important things. First is the great abundance of extra energy! Things that were dreaded tasks are now nothing. And I'm up doing things after 9 where I used to be sleeping (exhausted) by 7P. Second, is how much clearer my thinking is. Remembering has gotten to be a fun challenge and I zip through my office (4 companies) work so quickly now. I'm thinking of continuing through August. Really don't want to go back to the way I was. Today's challenge ~ the county fair. I'm sure the only compliant food there will be the bottled water!

Jenx that's a good reminder. I too did not plan an introduction last time. My down fall was wine/beer on a daily vs special basis. I did find that not having either in my home helped greatly and limiting to a restaurant setting only, and I like your pre-planning idea. Thanks!

Well, day 12 brought about the dreaded first meal at a restaurant. At least it was a nice place that serves really good food. And,,, I got through it and really had a good time! Had unsweetened ice tea with a nice grilled chicken salad (it was huge!). So proud, not even a temptation to have the beer and burgers with frys that the rest had. I think I set a good example especially when they were all bloated and tired (ready for their naps) after lunch and I was energized and ready for a great afternoon. Yea!

By "interesting" I meant that they are something unusual. I tried them fried in a small amount of avacado oil with a little sea salt and cinnamon. A great change from potatoes of both kinds.

Can hardly believe it's already day 6. Things are going great. Challenge for this week is having g husband back in town and back to work from vacation last week. Also adding exercise ~ hopefully that will curb my nerves!

Wow, the mayo with the "spagetti" dinner sounds great. I had a thought yesterday to have a Caribou latte using coconut milk. Found out that they add granulated sugar for taste. Really have to be careful!

Day 2 is showing me that I didn't eat enough yesterday. Woke up with no energy and a headache. Lucky I had the day off and an extra couple hours of sleep did the trick. Will be on much more balanced meals today. One question, is honey allowed? I though I knew but can't find out for sure.

Debzella, I did my past wh30 last year when I Was 59. Now, my second at 60. I think that it is doubly important us to eat healthy ~ I love the Iron Geezer routine!
