Wow go away for a few days and BAM look at all this great news! Congrats @sarahloberholtzer what wonderful news...happy healthy baby on the way! I love seeing everyone's energy level through the roof, it's truly amazing compared to all the complaining we did in the beginning . Stick it out this is good stuff for sure. I will say I'm still dreaming about really bad sugary stuff at night, I'm hoping this will stop some time! The good news is I feel great. I'm traveling all week so my plan is to just stay on track even after Wednesday, especially being on the road. Next weekend home with my family I will introduce some much wanted corn back into my diet and maybe a little fresh cheese (just a little). I want to see if that was causing some of my tummy problems. Thank you all so much for being on this train with me, it's amazing what a little bit of support and having to check in will do to keep me in check. Yay US!

Wow everyone is doing GREAT! I was unable to check in over the weekend but I'm hanging in there. I will say this being the second Whole30 I've done the benefits came on quicker...now the trick will be integration of certain foods back into my diet. I've been really looking at the Whole9 lifestyle and it's wonderful and my hubby who is Vegan and has been for 4 years is on board. He wants more energy so I'm looking at all plant based proteins for him and also we want to seriously look at the fermented veggies (never have been fond of these but now willing to give it a conscious try). It's all about knowing what is in our food so for me that is keeping it simple and making it all from scratch, using ingredients that I know are whole and how they are produced. Yes it's work but ultimately the only real goal I have is to FEEL BETTER and that means taking what I put into this body very seriously. I feel your pain @Lennie I HATE having to go to parties and explain my "crazy" diet. It's not a diet but it hurts their feelings because I think it makes them look at the way they are eating too and not everyone is ready to go down this rabbit hole. As a society our lives revolve around food and most of it is keeping us sick, fat, and stupid (I hate being that blunt but it's true). Right now it's too hard to be around food so I'm in avoidance mode to preserve my integrity. I'm looking to the future when I will be strong enough to just walk by and not bring any attention to my choices but yet be a good example. Dare to dream <3. @sunshine I've thought about changing my screen name but it's a reminder that I'm a true sugar junkie and I can never lose consciousness around that little demon! It's freakin' in EVERYTHING Thanks to everyone on this page...we are almost there!

Day 20 is over and like most on here I'm feeling the energy <3. It's great! The last few days have been really hard to stay on track breakfasts have been good (just eating leftovers from the night before) because I've been cooking good dinners. It's the lunches I'm having trouble with because it seems like all my choices are salads and I'm burning out. I need to prep better for the afternoons because they have been crazy busy and I'm getting grumpy...I just don't eat enough. I have the food I just haven't been able to finish enough to get me through. I'm feeling the end in sight but I'm excited to continue this way of eating, extremely nervous to introduce white starchy stuff back into the diet so it may be better to hold off on those a little longer. Right now in the planning stages is to keep it whole foods 95% of the time and to avoid sugar at all costs . Keep it up everyone I love this group!

Rough day today but I hung in there and ate well! I'm glad we are this far along if I had had this day in the beginning I would have thrown in the towel for sure. I feel healthy and really strong right now, I get little cravings here and there but I'm able to push through and eat compliant . Got my swim in tonight and I'm ready for tomorrow to get here...this day was a doozie!

@Acha this is my second Whole 30 and during my first it was much much much more difficult. As for doing a workout it was impossible because I felt horrible until about day 23 or 24 and then I got a small glimpse of the Tiger Blood. It's all about getting all the stuff out of our system during the Whole program so don't beat yourself up over not working out. I didn't even really start working out until after the first was complete (I have a lot of weight to lose as well but now I'm in much better shape). Hang in there this is really all about a life change and not a diet <3 @sunshine I'm really lucky we have a great very affordable recreation center near my home with an indoor pool, so it's available year round <3. I'm really blessed <3. For me the hard part was following through with the commitment to exercise every day for a minimum of 30 minutes. I'm up to an hour now and I'm feeling the need to push it even more. It's the follow through that I never did before and I feel it's really the change in the way I'm looking at my food. Good stuff everyone thanks for being here!

Everyone is doing so good! I'm so glad to have you all here for support <3. Day 16 is in the books and I gotta tell you I felt wonderful today. 3 meals and one PWO meal and no snacking....wooo hooo. Last night I hit the bed and fell asleep right away (miracle) got up early this morning and have been going all day. Man it's great to have energy back again. Hoping it stays. Made a few meals this week that we stretched into two meals a week...a little planning and this is really great for the whole family. Even my 73 year old Dad is loving the food, my daughter is on board but still working on my 13 year old son. He's at least trying everything so I got that going for me . Here's to a great week everyone it's now doable and I don't feel like giving up at this point!!

We are halfway there! Yep feeling really good and listening to my body. It's nice to know that if I am snacking even compliant foods, my body and brain are kicking in saying NO you really aren't hungry and you aren't supposed to do this! It's so nice to have this forum for support and encouragement I love all the ideas everyone is sharing. Well I've got my crockpot chicken going, made salsa and now I'm off to make up some mayo and ranch dressing! It's good stuff to get me through another week. I do plan to keep on with the Whole 9 program after I'm really hoping to keep this a permanent way of life. I feel good, it's healthy and mindful. If I lose weight great but the important thing is I feel good and I'm fueling my body with whole foods and not junk. I've been on every crazy diet in the world and this is really all around nutrition and not a diet <3. PS My food journal really is important as well, it keeps me on track because if I have to write it down I think twice.

I have been swimming everyday for the last 6 weeks. The last two weeks I've been doing weight training 2 days a week and not swimming on those two days. I do some light Yoga in the morning and evening. I have a lot of weight I would like to release this year so I'm being very conscious of moving my body and doing cardio everyday. I'm not ready to run but I would like to start walking a few days instead of swimming. So it's all about just doing it for me and setting a routine. If I don't I would NEVER work out.

Ok made it through the Holiday still on track. Just wanted to share a funny/nightmare dream I had last night. I woke up in a cold sweat because in my dream I was eating a huge bowl of Cheerios with milk. LOL what's so funny is it was so real and that's what I went off the whole 30 for . I haven't had Cheerios in 5 years or more and as for real milk I've never liked it. Crazy dream for sure about going off my diet. Hope everyone had a great 4th and stayed on track. My goal this week is to do a good workout everyday <3. I'm feeling stronger.

Whew today is a new day. Glad to see so many of us still here ! Did some needed prepping of food yesterday and planning for the weekend! I've decided it's too hard to be around party food so I'm eating at home and going later to friends for the fireworks show. It's easier than explaining to everyone why I'm not eating or drinking, unfortunately it's hurts peeps feelings when they have put together a party centered around food and drink (totally guilty of this). I'm feeling good about this and I know the benefits totally outweigh any inconvenience and discomfort I'm going through now! Happy 4th everyone, stay strong it's worth it <3

This was a tough day...the morning started OK but we had a storm and I had to shop, blah blah blah. I didn't get to eat breakfast until like two hours after my morning swim (not good). Ate lunch at 2:30pm (not good) and was so tired I slept for a 1/2 hour after. Dinner is on for everyone and I'm just wanting the throw in the towel. Just need to get through dinner and go to bed. Tomorrow is a new day.

Okay for lunch I did a stir fry with frozen veggies, shrimp, olive oil, and coconut aminos. Wow so good I wish I had tried coconut aminos during my last Whole 30...GOOD STUFF.

Day 10 WOW. Yesterday was not fun I was so over prepping and cooking and doing dishes, I got into a FUNK. Pulling out today so this morning I ate my eggs with of all things raw baby carrots (yes I was really over the prepping thing). It actually did the job and I feel good, lots of water too. Off to do my morning/afternoon stuff and the day is planned. I read the timeline and this is the time most people quit, so I'm making a note to self to just get through the next 2 days! Oh yeah....my 12 year old daughter had a sleep over guest last night and of course they wanted french toast for breakfast. So I made it for them and it smelled wonderful but I'm hanging in there. It was either make it for them with little or no mess or walk into a kitchen that 2 12 years olds cooked in, truly the lesser of two evils. Have a great day everyone! PS: Welcome to all the newbies joining in I love the support, the more the merrier!

Just finished my day it's 10:45pm and I ate 3 great meals today and was not hungry at all and my energy is through the roof. Yay! I think it helped to go easy on the fruit as well today I only had a serving of cherries the rest of the day was vegetables. I'm glad I noticed the difference. It's been really good keeping a food journal and really looking at how the food and times I've been eating are in my control. This second Whole 30 is a true eye opener and I'm excited to keep up with a Whole 9 lifestyle.

Yay one whole week down! Day 8 and I'm feeling pretty good so many little aches and pains have vanished. But yesterday that whole you feel better now eat those tortilla chips thought came in and was sooooo hard to not just throw in the towel. Thank goodness I walked away and stayed on track, the weekends are the hardest for me. Focus this week is to just eat three meals, the last two days I had a few pistachios in between and I know this is gonna make it harder. So pushing through. Drinking enough water too is essential, it's harder when I'm busy and away from the house, I have to remember to take by water bottle with! Here's to 22 more days to feeling really powerful.
