    So guess what....?  I inadvertently ate butter :-(  A friend had made butternut squash soup and told me all the ingredients.  After we ate it she mentioned something about cooking the squash, carrots, apples, etc. in BUTTER before she pureed it....sigh..... So today I started over with whole30 - oh well!!  I am a bit annoyed, just because 30 days seems so much more daunting than 14 days left.  
     
    Anyway, I just needed to vent ;-)  Enjoy the day, all!!

    I everyone!  I haven't really posted much at all since I first started this challenge, but I was reading through posts today and wanted to keep encouraging everyone on this journey!  Keep fighting and reminding yourself of why you started out on this journey in the first place.  
     
    So far for me, I have noticed that my stomach hurts a lot less since I've started whole30 (I think stomach pain after eating has become a norm because now that I don't have it, I feel like something is missing!!!)  Low and anxious feelings are still fairly prominent, but I am hoping that they will improve as more days on whole30 go by.  Today is day 8 for me!  I am def tempted to eat the ice cream that's in the freezer right now, but I'm planning to go workout instead :-)

    You can do it!!  Good awareness on your part that this will be a challenge for you today  I think it's awesome that you're planning for success by packing food and being prepared.  Keep reminding yourself of your reasons for doing this Whole30 challenge!!

    I'm have some STUPENDOUS and INCREDIBLE news:
    I DO NOT HAVE A HEADACHE TODAY!!!
    For me this is astounding. I have not been headache-free for YEARS. I have been told by more than one headache specialist that I am "the worst of the worst, hardest to treat, etc" and that my only hope was to travel to Michigan for inpatient treatment at the National Head Pain Center (which is not covered by most insurance and costs at least $60,000).
    Let me say again that this is MONUMENTAL for me.
    I am not sure, but I think it may also be due to the fact that I tried Natural Calm for the first time last night. I took a little less than 1/4 tsp. I have been suffering with GI distress today, which is very unpleasant, but the other result of head pain relief has overshadowed it.
    Now to find a form of magnesium and a proper dosage that will allow me to continue to derive this incredible, blessed relief without suffering in other areas.

    Hello :-)  I am officially starting tomorrow.  I have never attempted a Whole30, although I've eaten paleo off and on for years.  I live in Minneapolis, MN and am doing this because I struggle with depression/anxiety, joint pain, and sugar cravings; I also like a good challenge!  I also really enjoy running but have felt too tired to go on a regular basis for the past several months - I'm hoping this will help me reset and give me some energy and motivation again.  I think my biggest challenges will be explaining what I'm doing to friends, family, and coworkers and fighting the sugar/grain cravings I get in the afternoon/evenings.
     
    I'm excited for these next 30 days :-)
