hi all, I was busy at work yesterday and although I read all your posts, I just didnt have time to respond. Im still struggling with not being able to have any alcohol which has really made it clear to me that I have a problem there. I have started listening to The Naked Mind on audio book. I feel like Im trying two challenges at once. I put on some jeans this morning that I wasnt able to fit into last winter (we are in autumn atm) so Im pleased with that and yes Marj K I am tempted to hop on the scales. Sorry Rachel and Vanessa that you arent feeling any weight loss, Im sure you will. last night for dinner I made beef and vegetable kababs ( beef on skewers) with rice for my partner and half an avocado for me. the night before was rump steak with baked veg and steamed carrot and broc. I think my meals may be missing elements - let me know. I work at a TAFE (technical and further education) or as we like to call it TAFE ( try and fu*king enrol) in an admin role and its very boring and I hope to finish up next year as we become more self sufficient. My hobbies include, working towards becoming self sufficient, macrame, gardening and more recently yoga. plus I go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week. We live on 12 acres so there is always animals to care for and work to be done. my children are grown up and have moved out of home so its only me and my partner at home now. ok so today Im going to google Creamer - I dont know what this is. lol I spent way too much time looking at your instragram accounts Marj and Rachel. Love your cat Rachel, it has the cutest little face. and Marj, you have some wonderful pics - I would love to visit NY one day. Vanessa, did your mother in law realise why you didnt visit? its a hard situation to be in but Im sure she is well meaning. hang in there guys we are almost half way

I just had to google Six Flags lol. looks awesome and well done Vanessa. I've just started following you Rachel and Marj. Im at work but I look forward to checking out your sites tonight. my chooks are moulting atm and about a month ago we had a snake around who ate 4 chicks and lots of eggs so they have had a rough time of it lately. I'm easy re the FB page, whatever everyone would like to do. I struggled a lot over the weekend but made it through. I slept for 10 hours on friday night and had a busy day saturday but sunday I felt off all day. Im not so bad with the food part, its the not drinking alcohol that is really hard for me. Im listening to an audio book about sobriety atm for inspiration. I made some savoury mince the other night and added a fried egg on top, one of my favourite meals so far. I need to buy more coconut aminos.

hi all - cant believe that Im still doing this!!! Im usually out by now. After doing one successful round 2 years ago I have tried numerous times to do another whole30 but always caved within the first few days. I know its still early days but Im feeling hopful. Marj K, I've been constipated and have dry skin too. I even took a laxative yesterday because Im ususally so regular and extra moisturiser on my face. I think I need to up my water too. Im glad you liked The Magic Pill, I really enjoyed the part about the Australian aboriginals and the retreat they went to. Their health is a big concern to all Australians and the cure is so simple. Rachel, there are bloody biscuits in the tea room with a big sign "enjoy" grrrr. I hope they go quickly. Im pleased you enjoyed the documentary too. featuring our paleo Pete (Pete Evans) lol oh Vanessa rxbars and trader joes, I hear about them all the time and wish we had them here in Australia, would make things so much easier. I hope work today is not so stressful. Im also looking forward to the weekend to do some prep. Im off to do some grocery shopping shortly, I should do a meal plan first. Would anyone like to link on instragram? my name is Somerset Farm. I follow Paleomg, no crumbs left, the physical kitchness, stupid easy paleo, nom nom paleo, Diane Sanfilippo and of course Melissa Hartwig for inspiration. I need to have a talk to my chickens, they are only supplying 3 or 4 eggs a day and its not enough. I have 28 chickens and 2 roosters. bloody free loaders!!!

hi all, public holiday over and back to work. I loved reading all your posts this morning, such a good motivator to have a team to talk to. MarjK and rusrach both of those recipes look amazing and Ive just printed them out to try thanks. More dreams for me (thankfully not about cupcakes) and the most amazing sleep last night but this morning I was awake half hour before the alarm set for 4am and just wanted to get out of bed and get started on the day. I wear a fit bit that tracks sleep and I only average 7 hours a night as it is. Yesterday was so productive and food wise a breeze, no cravings not even ones for alcohol. I make the beef and broc for dinner and have leftovers for lunch today. Vanessa. for me I want to (in now particular order) lose weight, stop eating crap, help my digestive system along, make this way of eating the norm and get the binge drinking monkey off my back. And your son, too cute! Has anyone seen The Magic Pill on Netflix? I started watching this morning, I just had it on while I was getting ready for work but gee, it really makes sense of what we are doing being on the Whole30. rusrach, I hope your shoulders and neck improve soon. We dont have goldfish here and I had never heard of them before until a couple of days ago.

hi all Vanessa, Marj K, rusrach, Redrox Day 4 today. I just had my lunch and finished it off with an orange and omg it was so good. I dont remember the last time I enjoyed an orange so much. Vanessa thats for the explanation on the coffee, I hope you get some relief soon. rusrach, I actually served up some desert to my husband last night and it didnt bother me although I had probably overeaten the roast chicken we had for dinner and couldnt eat anymore. Oh the rage stage, I cant wait. Ive just printed out a recipe for beef and broccoli from iheartumami for dinner tonight. I had very deep sleep last night with strange dreams throughout - anyone else noticing a difference in sleep patterns? Its a public holiday tomorrow for Anzac day woo hoo cheers Lulu

hi all Vanessa, Marj K, rusrach, Redrox Day 2 was fine, I did have a headache but no cravings and found it easy to make it through the day. today is day 3 for me and I have some severe sugar cravings. going on. Vanessa, not sure what happened with your mayo, I make mine in my thermomix and it works every time. Try watching a youtube clip. Why are you cutting coffee? I only have one cup a day and drink it black anyway so not a problem.

Hi Vanessa, I struggled through my first round as I was over thinking everything and made it too difficult. I tried following meal plans and tried lots of recipes from the book but for me it’s easier to stick to the basics and just eat what I have and know. I also had a teenager at home then so still had to make some separate meals, now it’s just my husband and myself and he eats whatever I serve him. Also now there are a lot more compliant foods that are easy to buy. I live in a rural area so no Costco close by and not all brands are stocked by our closet supermarket but still there are more products around now. I crushed Day 1 yesterday, only had 3 meals and didn’t need snacks. Feeling great today. I did some prep, mayo, chopped some veg and have some snacks ready if I can’t make it between meals. Another reason I’m doing this is to take a 30 break from alcohol as I have found I’m drinking too much lately and it’s a habit I need to break. I hope your first day went well. Give me an update

Hi Vanessa and Homesoil, Im starting Saturday and would love to keep in touch to stay accountable. I have done one round before but that was in 2016 around the same time of year and I felt amazing after but all my bad habits are back and so it the weight and all the other things that go along with not eating right for my body. I live in Australia so dont have access to a lot of the things Americans have but I live on a farm and have our own eggs, home kill meat, some fruit and veg and honey.
