    headache from workout?

    Well I now know the problem. I started feeling worse later in today and well I have 102 degree fever. UGH! What's worse, I have no appetite. I ate half a bowl of spaghetti squash, but couldn't finish it. I know it's not ideal, but I may have my husband make me a spinach, banana, blueberry smoothie just to get something healthy in my body.

    Here's my log from the last few days. http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/23747-amy-bs-whole30-log-begin-010115/ I figured out yesterday that my post workout meal was not good. So I corrected that today by eating chicken and sweet potato. I drink plenty of water. That's all I drink really except for maybe 2 club sodas during the day. Thanks

    headache from workout?

    So yesterday during crossfit class on my last set of push-ups I got a sharp pain headache. It did go away that morning. But then this morning during class, we did a few push-ups during warm up and as soon as I started my headache came back. I made it through class and took some anacin when I got home. I'm not holding my breathe during tge reps so not sure what's going on? Related to whole30 or just over exertion?
  4. On the same subject, I do crossfit at 6am. I get up around 5:25am, get dressed and eat 1 hard boiled egg for my pre-wo meal. the class is over around 7am and I drive to work and shower there - so I don't eat again until about 8:30am and I have my M1 of 2 eggs and 3 strips of bacon. Is this OK? Should I be eating a post-wo meal in addition to M1? I don't want to really eat anything while driving into work - unless I find a protein/carb that's convenient to eat that way.

    I think uf it has chocolate then no. The two I got are the blueberry and the appke/cinnamon. No chocolate.

    OK - makes sense. I have been waiting until I get in office to eat my 2 eggs and 3 strips of bacon (Meal 1) (I know I need to add a veggie to my Meal 1, but haven't gotten that far yet). but thought I should eat closer to finishing my workout for recovery. Thank you.

    RxBar - Homemade Substitute

    So, the RxBar is Whole30 approved (apple cinnamon and Blueberry are good). I'm eating one post workout. They are kind of expensive, so can I substitute my own homemade with a recipe I found using: dates, walnuts, macadamia nuts, coconut oil, blueberries, unsweetened shredded coconut? My post workout is typically in the car on my way to work - so I can't make anything real fancy. Just something easy.

    I'm in. I've been eating paleo for about 3 months now and besides 5 days of eating cookies over Christmas, I have been able to maintain that lifestyle. So, my next step is to do the Whole30. I've already been doing the food planning (very key to my success so far). I'm even able to stay away from tempting foods even though they are in my house (have a house full of growing boys that love bread and pasta). My family does benefit from healthier family meals. Anyway - looking forward to sharing this experience with others!
