    Back in business after QUITE the booch fiasco. I had way too many food projects going on and made twice as much tea as I needed. So, I made two batch and one big CB. I hadn't kept enough of the starter booch so I ran to WF and bought two bottles. Got everyone set and had some left in one of the bottles. I tipped it back and got a big old icky string of goo. I dont mind little yeasty bits but this thing almost required the heimlich. Bleck!!

    All is well in booch land now.

    That is so cute. Hannah from KombuchaKamp likes hers plain and flat. I saw something about Kombucha ice pops so I ordered cute star shaped ice pop mold from Amazon today.

    I think watermelon mint is my favorite flavor so far. I also think I prefer the less fruity ones. Cucumber mint made me happy. I am looking forward to golden beet and thyme. Also lime and Thai basil. Think Mojito with basil intead of mint.

    People relax. Stop touching it and peeking. Sinking to the bottom is fine :D

    Ok, so today another bottle just blew up into my face. Like all this crazy fizz right onto another dress and wet hair. They smell like booze because I didn't have time to wash them again. Speaking of booze, is it possible to over-second-ferment them? My bottles sat there for 4 days. That's way too much probably? I just didn't have time to bottle them. I don't drink alcohol and I taste it in my booch. I am not paranoid. I actually think I feel a bit drunk :D :D

    Says the woman who asked a daily SCOBY question! :lol:

    I want my booch in fancy bottles! Alas, recycled will have to be my way to go. The part of me that loves to shop and gather wants the new and cute; the part of me that needs to get rid of shite is recycling!

    SCOBY update: I think it is simply not warm enough. I peeked under the cloth this morning and I have not seen any SCOBY progress. I may just go ahead and order one to get this party started!

    Oh lawdy. Then still fill with hot water to temper the glass, but bring other water to a boil. Dump hot water out and carefully fill bottles with boiling water. I say carefully because they can break if not tempered first. Let boiled water sit for 5-10 minutes. Label will peel right off. Use sticky side to remove leftover glue. Then resort to goof off.

    I never have to resort to goof off. I am naturally good at it ;).
