    Restart, Reset, Regain control

@LydiaJo Thanks for the words of support. Prepped meals are definitely the way to go. I've done my shopping today, tomorrow is prep day for sure. And I like those 4 finals words: Focus on the why!
  2. I've done the Whole30 4 times in the last 2 years. However this year, it all went down the drain. I want to restart, reset, and regain my confidence and control. A lot of my food distress comes from stress and lack of focus. The only food group that I have been consistent with keeping out is legumes - my body hates them. So, I am here... again, looking for advice, for motivation, for hope to get back on track. I had multiple W30 meals today but it was not perfect. I'm soooo looking to feel energized and less bloated. Even if I don't lose all the weight I want to lose, I want to regain the control I had over food. Right now I feel like I have no control... Any advice you may have is greatly welcomed and appreciated. -G

Whole30 for Lent: starting February 18th.

I have a work outing next week and all they have to offer are sandwiches. I requested a grilled chicken salad but the organizer is not sure if they will have it at the place of the outing. Do you guys have ideas of something I can bring just in case? I was thinking on getting one of those Rx bars, and some raw veggies. I don't know what else to bring that doesn't require heating/cooling, and that I don't have to carry a plastic container. We are going cavern zip lining by the way.

Sorry I've been MIA. I've done well so far. Sugar monster is gone... however, the mouse in me is very much alive and right now I would kills for a piece of parmesan cheese... a big block of cheese. I do miss my oatmeal in the morning.. I'm not sure how many more eggs I can eat. I'm getting sick of eggs in the morning. I could never get used to coffee without my stevia and almond milk, so I stopped coffee and I've been drinking green tea instead. Do you guys have other breakfast options?

Thanks for the snacking recommendations. Regarding the bone broth, I don't eat red meats so that's out of the question. It's Day 3 and I feel fine. I've been waiting for the hangover headache, but it's non-existent. I already had given up diet drinks for a long time... so that hasn't bothered me at all. I've managed to have a banana right after lunch and that's stopped my cravings. I just keep telling myself, I can do this.... I can do this...

Not sure if other people in this group have done Whole30 before. I woke up kind of sick this morning (sore throat, achy body, just like a normal cold). I started feeling really nauseated around 3 pm... could this be a Whole30 side effect or me just being sick?

This is also my first time. I started this morning. So far Ok. I do think now being 4:30pm, I should have had a bigger lunch (lesson learned).

I think we're not supposed to snack. Maybe increase the amount of food at the three main meals to avoid snacking. In my case, I'm doing yoga teacher training on the weekends... which means I have a 90 minute power yoga class early morning and I need some kind of food 1-2 hrs before class and then something after class... I'm planning on bringing hard boiled eggs with chili powder on top maybe with some celery or grapes or strawberries. Another option is apple with almond butter (I've been buying Barneys and Co Almond butter sugar free and salt free... it's just almonds and palm oil). Let me know if you come up with other options. Let's do this.

I'm a terrible snacker in the afternoon. I do fine during the morning because I have a big breakfast... but afternoons are a snack battle. I find myself eating every hour.. something. Just something. I usually ok after dinner. ... This will be quite a challenge for me. So, any suggestions that you may have would help. I'm all in, and so is my husband (i think the snacking for him will be a challenge as well....)

Hello. I'm new to Whole30, and I'm thinking on starting it for lent. I'm usually pretty good and disciplined when it comes to giving up stuff for lent. Four years ago I gave up beef, never again have I had it. I think my biggest struggle is sugar, so hopefully with a support group I can overcome the sugar flu.. Any suggestions are appreciated.
