Hey, just read the daily email - boy, they are REALLY worth it....especially since my audiobook version of ISWF seems to be having seizures - maybe since I am on my third or fourth time through it??

Anyway, perhaps it is just the season of allergens here in Virginia, but I am sensing a big body iflammatory response - aching joints (selected ones), a flare up of herpes, and sinus pressure.  I confess I have been off most of my meds this past week - trying to see if the W30 will really make me healthy enough to avoid the meds...and not wanting anything prescription to interfere with the goodies I am getting from this way of eating...

As for the body pains, it is Spring, and I am doing more outside, etc....and I am 63...anyone else feeling anything like this?

Does anyone else feel like they are hungrier than usual? Or I just have food on my mind more often, I was out of town for the last two days, for work meetings... made eating difficult! Maybe that's why I have been thinking about it. I think it will get better after a few more days.. Also last night I felt like sleeping was not easy, but that also could relate to work.. I had a headache after the first day also.. any advise on traveling and Whole30??

OK, so in theory, after awhile, she will be able to put a dozen eggs in a pot at the top of each week or pull her own bag of frozen cooked meat out of the freezer.  That's good!  Someone could purchase some of the prepared veggies from Costco for her (they have the peeled diced butternut squash that you can just toss in oil and bake, the french cut green beans don't need any prep, the brocoli doesn't need prep, sliced mushrooms, asparagus, baby potatoes, all pretty much ready to go.  The easiest way for her to do any of these veggies (a large batch with little prep) is roasting a couple large cookie sheets worth.  Throw it all on the same pan, massage oil into it and bake at 445F until done.

Pork shoulder thrown into the crockpot yields LOTS of meat with almost no effort and is very versatile.

    Best wishes to her!

I suggest doing a big cook up of things over the weekend. On Saturdays I prepare a loose menu and shop then on Sunday I hard boil eggs, roast up some meats(usually cook ground beef, roast pork and chicken), par boil some veggies etc. it really helps to manage the week days which are super busy.
I also make lunches the afternoon/evening before. Actually I package up a weeks worth of nuts/dried fruit, chips (yes, a small snack sized bag with chips does go to scholol...so shoot me) any pantry type foods. Makes it easy to just grab the packets from the pantry and cold prepped food from the frig. Usually all I have to do is slice aplples and lunches are done.
Of course breakfast is trickier. You can whip up a frittata or paleo pancakes, or make paleo waffles on the weekend and freeze, or muffins, or crust less quiche.....lots of options but planning and prepping ahead is a HUGE help.
