just curious if anyone else here has Cystic Fibrosis and has done/is doing the Whole30?
Bowel malabsorption is one of the lovely side effects that plague CF people and I'm delighted to see things have started 'moving' again since starting the Whole30!

    Hi guys
I'm a long haul flight attendant who lives in sydney and I bring back bottles of coconut aminos from LA all the time. They work out to be about $10 a bottle. If you want me to get you some then flick me a message :-)

Most crew run side businesses on eBay from running shoes to mac makeup and we all use the same accountant so I bet he's well familiar with it!!

My boyfriend was initially quite similar but I basically stopped buying the shitty food at the supermarket but he knew he was more than welcome to have it if he went to buy it himself.... Laziness prevailed and there is no shitty food in the house. I did used to make paleo dinners and then just do additional potatoes or rice for him but that eventually petered out too as he found he could live without them. I also loaded the freezer so full with meat etc that there was no room for icecream. Oh dear how sad.
I imagine your new eating habits have made your husband aware of his own habits and he probably feels a bit demonised. I wish I had more advice but trying to chnage a husband and four kids is a lot harder than changing a boyfriend. Hugs!!

I should mention I'm in Australia and I'm not actually sure what a plantain is haha! I'll google it. We use pumpkin as a savoury roast vegetable not something sweet down here so I guess that's similar to butternut squash. I didn't recognise some of the things on your list Tom but I bet we just call them something different. Google here I come!!

My sodastream is my best friend! We only use it for plain soda water and its so much better than throwing away all those empty plastic every week. We bought extra bottles too so we just keep plain water chilled in the fridge til it's time to zap it.

I started yesterday too, the 15th (well here in Australia anyway!). I cut the sugar out five days before hand while in USA so my poor boyfriend didn't get his head bitten off. I'm a long haul flight attendant and I can already tell my biggest challenge will be managing my food on 14 hour flights between LA and Sydney, not to mention the limited cooking availability in hotel rooms. I do have a neat trick of baking fish in foil on the iron however! Xo Sarah

i made spaghetti squash the other night for the first time. to be honest i probably prefer zoodles with my spag bol but it was interesting and fun to make. when i compared the size of them here vs LA though i was amazed. ours are HUGE! way too much for two people! my poor boyfriend didnt really like it and he knows he will be forcefed it for the next few days til its gone haha!

If people are being pushy, I usually say I'm experimenting with an elimination diet to identify some food sensitivities I've been experiencing. It has the benefit of both being true and sounding sufficiently medical that people back off.
I think in general people get pushy about food because food is a way of bonding in a lot of settings, and because rejection of food often reads as a rejection of that interaction or a rejection or judgment of their own choices; when people snap in response, it confirms that anxiety.

    Hiya
I'm sure you've all seen people posting about wonderful things on here that we can't find in Sydney easily or affordably like coconut aminos and larabars etc.
I'm a flight attendant and I stock up on goodies in LA each week so if there is something you want then flick me a message and I'm happy to bring it back (providing its ok to bring in - sadly paleo pacs containing jerky are not).

Not sure which post I saw this on but thanks to whoever recommended Aldi for panchetta. Got some on Sunday and used to wrap the outside of some mini quiches. So yummy!

Cpb it's pricey here but you want the coconut secret coconut aminos, NOT the coconut amino sauce that I've seen a few times as that has coconut sap in it.
In the other 'AUSTRALIANS' thread I've offered to bring aminos back from LA on my weekly trips and they work out to be about $10 per bottle. There is an online store in Brisbane selling it for $20 a bottle - yikes!!
