  1. I feel like Hobroe could have been me "talking". I actually have been doing Whole30+7 days so far and still have not weighed myself. Reading the replies to her post are very encouraging and I am continuing on!

    June 8th Start Re-Intro!!

I don't have any scale victories to report.. I still don't want to weigh myself. My clothes fit the same as pre-Whole30 so I am somewhat discouraged BUT: 1. I have eaten only compliant food since June 8 (Day 1) 2. I don't have any cravings (even for ice cream which is my favorite food) 3. I am still eating compliant food only and, I think, following the food template. I will continue this way until next Wednesday when I leave for vacation. I will try to be as compliant as possible, though, while I am away. But, l will want to try the local food and drink (I'm going to Iceland). May be I am having too much fat?? I tend to have about 2 different fats with each meal. This is one of the longest continuous food plans I have been able to follow. But I still need to lose 20 lbs! Thanks for listening!

Starting June 8! Who's with me?

Hi all, I made the Sunshine Sauce (with almond butter) and used it to make the green cabbage slaw recipe in the Whole30 book. Also made the Chimichurri Sauce in the book and marinated London Broil in it and then grilled it. Delicious! Both sauces are easy and would be good on lots of different proteins and veggies. Also, the mayo is really easy to do and also tastes great. Good Luck!

Starting June 8! Who's with me?

Congratulations to everyone...Day 30 and now Day 31. I didn't weigh myself but do feel great. I am going to continue for at least 2 more weeks (then I am going on vacation.) I like the idea of keeping our forum going --where would it be?? I had an appointment today with a nutritionist and she had very positive things to say about the Whole30 program. I'm sending everyone a "standing ovation" for all the efforts and hard work each one of did during the previous 30 days.

Starting June 8! Who's with me?

Happy 4th of July! We only have 5 days to go... wow! Difficult to believe. A few questions -- what is the acronym "NSV"? Many people use it but it wasn't listed in the Acronym forum. I did a search for it in the forum but the reply stated it was not allowed?? Not sure why not . What do people think about sweet potatoes - should they be limited because of the starch content. I don't feel I have lost any weight and I tend to eat too many ( 1 per day ). I'm wondering if they are one of the reasons. I stopped almond butter, too, as I was probably overdoing that, also. I do plan to continue after Tuesday as right now I don't have any cravings and am afraid I will start having them as soon as I introduce a non-compliant food. The only food I think (now) that I would introduce would be a small ice-cream cone! My favorite. But I will wait until I feel it is really worth it. I made the chicken hash in the Whole30 book - it was ok. I didn't have the spinach or arugula that I think it really needed, so I will make it again with everything it needs. Thanks in advance for the answer to my questions. Enjoy your weekend festivities

Starting June 8! Who's with me?

Hi all, I haven't posted for a while either but am still at it. I have been away visiting friends since Friday. This has been a HUGE challenge. But i feel like I did ok and don't need to restart. I will be on my way home soon! After 3 weeks, I feel good and have energy but can't say my clothes are looser. Although the focus shouldn't be on weight loss, that is primarily my reason for doing this. I think all the other results are great and very beneficial to me. But, I am hoping for some weight loss. Eating this way has not been terribly difficult (except for this weekend) and I am considering continuing for a few additional weeks (until I go on vacation). But I DON'T plan to go back to my compulsive eating and snacking I do enjoy reading the posts and that has encouraged me to stick with it. Have a great last week everyone!

Starting June 8! Who's with me?

Day 10 ... and still going! Feeling very good but a little tired. I met 2 friends for dinner last night. As I went into the restaurant, I thought, "a glass of wine, no big deal". But I quickly said NO to myself. I do hate everyone's comments when I order - as I'm frequently trying to "be good" with my food. But I just went ahead with my choices ( big salad w plain piece of salmon and o/v dressing on the side) and felt VERY good. I think people feel uncomfortable if they want to eat "BIG" and someone at the table orders a salad. Oh well...I had what I wanted and they had their choices. All was very fine. I haven't had much time to cook but luckily my hubbie loves to cook and will usually be happy to do dinner. He gets home much earlier than me, usually. Well, everyone, we are 1/3 of the way there. YAHOO! Let's keep on going

Starting June 8! Who's with me?

Day 7 and going strong. I was hungry yesterday but otherwise all is going well. Today I am going to cook some stuff for during the week. First, need to go to the groc store. Last night, I went to Trader Joes looking for avocado or macadamia oil. No luck. I want to make mayo. Will try elsewhere today. Hope everyone has a great day... Week 1 almost done!

Starting June 8! Who's with me?

I, too started Monday, the 8th. So far, so good. I can't believe I am actually posting this but I think it will make me more accountable. My (step)daughter is on Day 19 and has been a huge help. She is my "go to" person. I have followed many programs over the years but this one has lots of resources, and seems relatively easy to "live it". Because it does seem easy to follow, I am hoping I am doing it correctly! Looking forward to getting more days done successfully
