    Starting January 2!

    I was able to resist everything! I brought a banana just in case I was tempted, but I didn't even have to bust that out. I didn't even enjoy the smell of all the fried food. It wasn't awkward, I just let them know I was doing the whole30, that I was 13 days in, and they understood. Loving this lifestyle! Don't wanna go back to what I was doing before. The other night I made the Thai Chicken and Brussel Sprouts skillet from the fast and easy cookbook and OMG it was so so good. I can't even believe it! Next challenge is that we are going out of town this weekend to San Francisco....going to be difficult. I am going to take some emergency snacks like an Epic bar only for emergencies. The flight is very short, so we don't have to eat in the airport, which is good. But I am worried about the restaurants. I know we have this one big reservation on Saturday night, so I just need to call ahead and see what they can do for me. Hoping yall are doing well!!

    have some people in town tonight and we are going to a famous restaurant in my area that specializes in fried chicken sandwiches. i am going to eat a big whole 30 meal before i go and just sit with them. worried that its going to be awkward for them eating in front of me, but there's not one thing on the menu that could even remotely be compliant. i am thinking they will understand and not feel bad about eating in front of me. we'll see how it goes. the struggle is real!!

    Try the Primal Kitchen ranch dressing. It is so good. Its perfect in a salad. (accidentally called it primal paleo before)

    So far, so good on Day 8. I made the skillet butter chicken last night from the fast and easy cookbook and it was bomb. Highly recommend. A little cooking snafu. We wanted to make bbq chicken since we got an instant pot and we couldn't find Tessamae's anywhere in the stores, and wanted to do it for meal prep...so I found one recipe online that had unsweetened applesauce in it (dates make me sick) and it was just okay. And then once we heated it up...it tasted terrible! Lol. But, I added a little bit of Primal Paleo ranch and it tasted better...but it was a lot of work for something not as good. Anyone try the tessamae one?

    for some odd reason, LaCroix makes my teeth feel grimy. I like the flavors, but its like the strangest thing!

    I did have some cashew butter with my banana for a few with lunch...and I only add this to lunch if I am working out that day (otherwise I get super light headed during my workout)...my raw veggies are usually a ton of spring mix for lunch, so yes to the salad. today, its better. i'm feeling a little leaner and less bloated. Maybe it was the cashew butter and working out.

    I feel you! Meal prep took like 5 hours tonight....but if I don't prep for the entire week, I don't stick to it! It is the only way.

    So I’m on day 6 and feeling kind of bloated and large and in charge. I don’t remember ever feeling this way with my first whole30. Any suggestions of what it may be? I am eating more fat this time around I think...only difference.

    Looks amazing!! They have this recipe too in the fast and easy cookbook with pork...but I made it with chicken and it was ridiculous!!! One of my faves for sure.

    Is it possible to be eating too much fat? For instance, yesterday I had the curry chicken salad, which has the whole30 mayo (1/2 cup). Granted, not eating all 1/2 a cup cuz I split it into portions. Then the dinner I had from the cookbook had 3 tablespoons of ghee total. Just wanna make sure I’m not overdoing it.

    Day 1 almost done. I still have to get through my after dinner sugar dragon. But I can do it. did Iced coffee and almond milk (compliant) with two hard boiled eggs for breakfast. I don’t use sweetener of any kind in my coffee (my first whole30 kicked that habit and now I can’t stand sweetened coffee). Lunch was the whole 30 curry chicken salad (fast and easy book) over a large bed of greens. dinner was the piccata from the fast and easy cook book with zucchini noodles and ghee. I made it with chicken instead of pork and it came out amazing. This recipe is so good! Highly recommend. Just gotta get through the rest of the night lol!! Loving their new cookbook!

    Thought it was funny though— went to Whole Foods yesterday and all of the whole30 compliant products were on sale. Everything from primal paleo etc. Lol! A lot of it was also sold out. Lots of people starting a whole30 im sure!
