Yep, what Chris says is true - no bread-like products during your 30days.

However, I saw that it was your first purchase in 34 days and assumed you were in the reintro phase.

If not, the ingredients are irrelevant really - I should have been clearer when I asked what day you were on...

    Um, there's no such thing as a compliant bread-like wrap on a Whole30. http://whole30.com/2013/12/pure-wraps/

Further, tapioca is only to be used as a thickener in sauces, soups, meatballs etc. Not to make a bread-like product, per the Can I Have Guide:

"Yes, you can have almond flour, coconut flour, tapioca flour, and other non-grain-based flours, but it’s context-dependent. You can use it in place of breadcrumbs in your meatballs, to dredge a piece of chicken, or to thicken a sauce or stew.  You may not use it for Paleo baking—to make muffins, pancakes, bread, cupcakes, cookies, waffles, biscuits, tortillas, pizza crust, or anything of that nature. We call those recipes Sex With Your Pants On (SWYPO) foods, and they are expressly off-limits during your Whole30."- See more at: http://whole30.com/2013/06/the-official-can-i-have-guide-to-the-whole30/#sthash.XOjcNmXL.dpuf

It's difficult to say - some are made purely from tapioca starch/flour, but many include rice flour, & some even contain wheat flour - it really depends on the brand.

    What day are you on?

All right! I'm glad our group will have a new place to share. It has been really helpful.

Day 31, I decided to remain compliant, but have a couple of glasses of wine. It was delicious, but I don't feel like I want this every day, for sure. Next 2 days clean, and then I'll hit the lentils.

Praxis Project I just want to say thank you for all your help and support over this time. You have been fantastic and so supportive and knowledgeable, I've really appreciated your input as well as Sugarcube's and the other moderators who have checked in. Thank you all so much!!

I did my measurements this morning and weighed myself at the gym (we don't have scales in the house). I think I was a bit reluctant to do this because I'm so happy with how I feel and how my clothes are fitting rather than numbers. But anyhow, there has been some significant changes according to "numbers" for what they are worth  . There has been a 4cm loss in my bust measurements (namely my back); 6cm loss in my waist measurement; 6cm loss in my hips and a 5cm loss in my thighs. I've also lost 5kgs according to the scales at the gym. I'm not a large person by any means and weight loss wasn't the key priority for me, rather it was just getting healthier and fitter but I tend to think if that weight has come off with me eating 3 good meals a day and exercise (and not being hungry) then maybe I'm just getting to the weight and body size my body should be. If I get brave enough I will post some pics of the changes-happy to see the beginnings of a six pack developing though.

Morning of Day 31…weighed-expecting to have lost very little as my body doesn't seem that different and I only lost 1 lb. on my first "Whole25".
Really surprised to see a weight-loss of 10.4 lbs. yay.  (Only 20 to go)
HOWEVER.  SO many NSV's too and I'm looking forward to some careful re-intro days.  Heading off to the "After Whole30" section of the forums (as SugarcubeOD suggested) and will visit there from time to time to see how things are going !
Thanks to everyone for the camaraderie and good info here !

Hi everyone! I couldn't resist and weighed/measured myself yesterday on Day 30 which wasn't great – I not only gained ~.5 lb, but my measurements haven't changed at all. That was definitely disappointing and derailed my reintroduction plans by going off-road while out to dinner with friends. There was wine, dairy and I'm sure other off-plan things in sauces/marinades. Not great. I did my best to minimize the damage by avoiding bread/gluten and listened carefully to my satiety signals and stopped eating when I felt full, but it wasn't great.

I'm definitely feeling some of the effects this morning and am thankful I have week of W30 meals already planned while I take stock and regroup The nice thing about this program is that even though I didn't get the results I was hoping for, it never feels like a waste of time. I ate delicious food and took a break from my 2+ glasses of wine a night habit. Moving forward, my primary focus will be on exercise (which is the biggest difference between this and previous W30's) and continue to work on feeding my body nutrient dense foods. I'm going to institute a "no drinking during the week" rule, limit the amount we have on weekends and generally drink for better reasons rather than "I had a bad day, give me all of the wine."

I feel pretty good about the plan moving forward and am thankful to this forum for keeping me company on this part of the journey. I hope everyone else is feeling good and finding their own versions of success.

It is day 31. I weighed myself today and I lost 11.8lbs. I am very pleased with that. I also feel like I am getting control of my sugar and chocolate addiction. I want to continue with eating W30 complaint for several reasons; 1. I did not make it all 30 days being compliant, so I am restarting today. 2. I want to continue to get control over my bad eating habits, I still have lots to learn but feel I am on the right track, and 3. I want to loose more weight, and this is a sensible way to do that. So I am not at the reintroduction stage, but I am happy with what I have accomplished and will continue to eat compliant! Good luck everyone!

Day 22 (originally 31....) and day three on low FODMAP. Feeling fairly good, great sleep and limited bloating (woot woot).
M1- roast chicken, red pepper, zucchini, white potato and turnip.
M2 - lamb shank zucchini, turnip, olives.
M3 - lamb cutlets, roasted eggplant, white potato, salad lettuce, baby spinach, tomato, cucumber.
    Magnesium supplement.
I don't imagine there are too many people left on this forum now! I had a dear friend deliver a box of organic raw desserts. They will wait.

How amazing to be on Day 30 and remember how "extreme" this seemed at first. Now, totally normal.  I AM looking forward to far fewer eggs and finally back to some black beans and tofu in my diet !  (Oh yeh..and wine). But will re-introduce carefully.  Nice to have completed a second "vegetarian" whole30. This program is SO valuable for assessing one's diet and possible food sensitivities. I'm really glad we non-carnivores can get those benefits as well !
QUESTION:  Will anyone be continuing to post on this thread to share re-intro experiences ?
I would love to keep seeing how the next few weeks are going for everyone...

Day 30 and still I learned something new. Looked around for something "good " for breakfast and leftover chocolate chili came to mind. (Reminded me I have new definition of what constitutes "good"). Thinking template, I found some roasted vegs that looked a little limp - toaster oven made them crisp up again. Fat - someone here mentioned chili with avocado chunks. When I did my last W30, I learned dairy is not my friend- return of joint swelling, muscle ache and facial eruptions. The avocado is my new sour cream on chili!!!!

Tomorrow is day 30 for many of you! A huge congrats! I am really looking forward to hearing about everyone's reintroductions!
Day 20 for me (originally 29) done and dusted. Had a rough patch the last few days with an IBS flair up. Put it out there in troubleshooting and got immediate advice. Implemented the advice today successfully, albeit a bit scattered as I had to hit the shops to find stuff I could actually eat following the advice, delaying M1 until many hours after wake up. So more restrictions for me and 10 days to go. I am optimistic that this will be the beginning of great things
(First food dream the other night about the most perfect porridge - complete with butter and brown sugar!) I woke up and told my family about it and they said it sounded so good, they all felt like porridge for breakfast.... Then proceeded to make it! It smelt delicious! But not as good as my salmon

Cheers thanks guys. I downloaded the Monash university fodmap app and it's brilliant to get my head around this group of food that feels so random! I can filter by polyol, and they use a quantity green light system. As it turns out I heavily eat polyols! So I do hope this is a turning point for me. Thankyou for identifying what I couldn't see. Low fodmap whole 30 here I come (with mayo!). Cheers.

Day 28 done and dusted - it was a close shave for dinner. I had to go to a reception, knowing there would probably be nothing I would want to eat, but my plan to eat something before going was killed by a meeting that ran overtime. I was not terribly hungry, so it was not too bad, but an evening with circulating servers offering wine and delicious-looking finger food from sweet potato potstickers (I did not think that peeling off the outside would look too cool!) to little felafels with raita and some kind of artichoke and cheese thing - none of it was tempting! I did have two asparagus spears without dipping them in the sauce offered. They were just lightly steamed and delicious, so that and about a gallon of sparkling water had to hold me until I got home and beat the world record for making a veggies and squid green curry. It was wonderful.

I must say I am looking forward to that glass of wine on Sunday, but none of the off-plan foods have power!

    have a good one ----

cocojoe, don't beat your self up over this. I am not a moderator, but I would consider this a very minor slip up. you did the best you could. you could always consider this as starting your soy reintroduction early.
I agree with you 100%. you are right about how being on day 28 is so much different than day 3. in the end, you are the one rowing your whole 30 boat. if you don't think you should start over, then you shouldn't.

I Screwed Up MY Jan. 2016 W30 and I Am NOT Starting Over…

Yes, I take full responsibility that completely by accident, I consumed a non-compliant ingredient on day 28, day friggin 28 people, which has a very different mental impact than say day 3. It was an ingredient that I would not ever consume even in my outside W30 life. It was truly a mistake and believe me, I had to work triple time to not beat the [email protected]# out of myself mentally about how I could have been so stupid. Sometimes stupid happens.

During both my W30’s this one and last, I would agonize over eating out in any restaurant because I am convinced that even when a person has done every single thing in their power to safeguard their meal, that there are many people who think they have been 100% compliant all 30 days who haven’t simply because they have eaten out. It happens and maybe in this case ignorance is bliss, especially if you are a head case like me.
One of my goals during this W30 was not to say no to every single invite to socialize over a restaurant meal because of fear. I want to be more relaxed around eating in restaurants. My husband and I had breakfast in a local diner, a decent choice due to menu diversity and diners are usually very accommodating. I decided what I was going to eat ahead of time and made sure that my omelet was not cooked in butter and that no gluten and dairy were added.

    Here’s what happened:

My misstep happened over a lousy cup of Lemon Lift tea. I am not a big tea drinker but I am trying to cut back on coffee (diner coffee is generally crappy anyway) and hate the taste of Lipton (a diner staple). I decided on the innocuous herbal variety instead. The waitress brought over my cup of hot water and tea bag along with a bowl of lemon wedges. The tea bag was in an individual wrapper which I quickly perused to check for ingredients. Thinking that all was OK, I tore open the wrapper and dunked, taking my first, second and third sip. Then some force of nature had me picking up that wrapper and flipping it around in my hand, noticed that there were indeed ingredients listed that I had missed on the back. I was shocked to see that soy lecithin was among the listed ingredients. BTW, this ingredient in tea really pisses me off but that’s a whole other story. Afterwards, I even beat myself up a bit over why I didn't just order hot water w/ lemon, something I have never done or would have even considered.

Now if you are anything like me, you would have felt that crushing blow that comes from being a couple days shy of done with 100% compliance and then having this occur when you already have basket-case issues with eating out. I hadn’t even taken a single bite of food yet. I know how stress can literally undue the best eating habits in the world and I fought hard to be able to even enjoy my meal and not screw up my digestion.
In the end, my choice is NOT to start over and I stand by that choice. I believe in my case that starting over would set up a very negative association with the program and would cause further regression of my issues. I came to the W30 largely to learn about my triggers to foods both physically and emotionally and also to face my issues around food head on so that I can have a healthier mindset. Starting over would truly set me back. I am sure many a moderator would have me starting over but this is my call to make and I have made it.

No, I will not be bragging about my perfect W30 on the forum. I don’t feel I have earned that right but I DO feel that I have completed a successful W30 nonetheless.

I am not afraid of backlash. I even welcome it as strange as that sounds because the truth is, I still feel a little bad about this and this is part of the way I am working through it.  I wanted to tell this story because we are all truly unique. Some would have started over no question but that would not be a healthy choice for me. Some would not even count this as a W30 since I slipped but there is no taking away what I have learned so far or what I will continue to learn. Both times, I have found this program to be far more challenging than I could ever anticipate but my decision has me looking forward to completing my next W30 with no slips.

You still have several possible fats: olive oil, ghee, clarified butter, tallow, duck fat, and compliant lard are among your choices. Fatworks is a great source for some of these items: http://www.fatworksfoods.com
