regina_phalange got a reaction from angledge in WholeLent 2016 - starting February 10th.
I just completed my first Whole 30 yesterday (I still CANNOT believe I actually did it). I saw the Whole Lent idea and think it is great! I plan on using this week just to test out non-gluten grains and dairy but will be ready to dive in again for Lent. I am excited to do it with all of you!

    I can't believe I did this...I actually made it!

I lost 13 lbs! I didn't measure before but I am definitely doing that next time. I feel great but my clothes don't feel looser but I will trust the scale.
I saw someone was doing a Whole 30 for Lent. I think I will test out some non-gluten grains and dairy in the next week, but then do the Lent one.

    Congrats everyone!

You've got this! You've come so far - and next week will roll around soon enough - imagine how you'll feel upon completion versus arriving at day 31 - and knowing that if you had just stuck with it, you'd be finished!
Don't give up, you've already put the toughest days in, this is like rolling up to the finish line. Look at recipes, get creative.
Don't give up, you're worth the finale! Best of luck - I know you'll keep going.

It was at about this time during my first Whole30 that  nearly gave up. I hated the thought of cooking ONE MORE THING. I was tired of feeling isolated from my family and in social settings.  My family was growing more tired of "mom's diet" because it meant no pizza after church or taco bell before practice. I think I could eat Whole30 24/7 but it's the emotional and mental aspect that makes it really unsustainable for me. But, hang in there because in a few days you'll probably regain your resolve to finish strongly and you'll be so proud of yourself when youre through.
