    Who's starting 1/1?

Week one done and dusted! Day 8 for me here in Australia. Feeling pretty good today, even though I had a rubbish nights sleep last night. I had a hard time eating anything yesterday, I felt quite nausea's and had very little appetite. This definitely hit my sleep as I think I was hungry. Made myself breakfast this morning (which I never do) scrambled eggs with clarified butter and smoked salmon. Very delicious. I just need to add some veg in there to fill me up as I was hungry by 10:30 am.

Hi everyone one, I have found compliant bacon https://organicmeatonline.com.au/products/nitrate-free-bacon-certified-free-range It's expensive, and it seems you have to buy it in bulk. I haven't bought any so can not vouch for the taste. I am just going to stick to compliant prosciutto, which I can easily get from Aldi.

    Who's starting 1/1?

Day 4 for me! Currently eating my lunch, which is compliant green curry chicken, sweet potato and spinach. Headaches have seemed to pass which is great!Last night I was pretty tired so didn't head into CrossFit, but slept well which is excellent. Don't quite want to "Kill all the things" but definitely more irritable than I normally am. Planning on making a bunless burger with home fries for dinner tonight! Hope everyone is doing well

    Who's starting 1/1?

The start of Day 3 for me here in Australia, and back to work after the holidays :-( It was hard to get up this morning as I’m not sleeping well, I’m hoping the Whole 30 will help with this. I’ve had a constant headache for the past 2 days which has intensified this morning - hoping this will pass soon. I’m also really struggling to eat breakfast, my last whole 21’s this passed somewhere in week 2. Hope everyone is staying strong. I’m just hanging in there this morning.

    Starting Whole30 on July 25th!

Thanks for the heads up! I do have chronic sleep issues - insomnia/ nightmares, something that the whole30 will not completely solve (I previously completed a whole 30 in Feb) - helps definitely, but not completely. For those struggling with bloating, I notice a huge difference when I have a tablespoon of ACV diluted with water before meals (recommended to be 30 mins but I generally do right before). Maybe give it a try?

Well done for refusing cake teachermama, I'm don't a particularly sweet tooth but I do love a good piece of cake! I'm not feeling boundless energy either, and it still takes me 10 mins to wake up in the morning. Although, this is a vast improvement from 30mins! I did notice a small NSV for me this morning. Whilst I was putting on my makeup I realised that my blue sometime black under eye bags have significantly reduced! Pretty happy about that! Although they probably won't completely go away as they are hereditary for me, I am sleeping much more deeply, which has always been a significant problem for me! YAY!

    Starting Whole30 on July 25th!

Start on Day 12 and it seems right on queue the weirdo food dreams have started. Last night I dreamt that I accidentally ate non compliant food through the form of rocky road. What's strange about it was that I didn't consciously put it in my mouth, all of a sudden it was in there and I was like "what's this? Oh no, it's non compliant food" and then struggled to get it out of my mouth. Once you realise it's just a dream, all you can do is laugh I guess. It is actually quite funny!

Just an update on the Woolworth's Gold Stock. Turns out the beef stock has Red Wine in the ingredients so not compliant. Chicken is compliant though!

    Starting Whole30 on July 25th!

Day 9 here in Australia! I made it through the weekend, although I ate too much sugar in the form of dates and strawberries yesterday at an afternoon tea with my friend and felt a bit off this morning. I didn't sleep great, was a bit cranky and groggy this morning. Had a big glass of water and it seemed to fix things. I didn't even have that much! about half a punnet of strawberries and a handful of dates!

    Starting Whole30 on July 25th!

Kawa if your not already, try adding some starchy carbs such as sweet potato or white potato with your evening meal to help you sleep. I have anxiety which presents itself as insomnia and I find have starchy carbs at night really help with sleep!

Thanks for the ideas Carli! I am well versed in the cravings department having quit smoking several times! I know they will pass and it's not worth failing for something I know isn't going to help me and my well being.

    Starting Whole30 on July 25th!

Day 5! And of course the week I start the Whole 30 there is an explosion of morning tea/afternoon tea/ cakes in my office , and I'm really struggling on the cravings front too. Very akin to quitting smoking, but with less anger LOL
