Amy, which one did you make? Emily's or the one from the original post?

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

If only Whole30 could have cured me of my other food issue, which is not wasting food...

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

Good morning everyone! I did have my Cadbury Creme Egg last night, and it was delicious...until I got about halfway finished with it. Then it got way too sweet, but I finished it, and it left this weird tingling in my mouth. Yuck! I also forwent the wine for kombucha instead. If you knew me in my pre-W30 life, you would know that's a crazy thing for me to do! I'm a new person! Other than that, I've stuck to W30, besides for the salsa I had for breakfast this morning, which had sugar as one of the ingredients near the end. But it was organic, so I think it was still pretty good. Speaking of breakfast, I made this with the lean ground turkey, and it couldn't be easier or more delicious! Might be a good one for your boyfriend, Katie, since it's breakfast-y without the egg. http://meatified.com/fiesta-breakfast-bowl/ My husband had this diet Sundrop that he's had in the fridge since pre-W30, and he said he didn't like it at all. He said you could taste all the chemicals. I think I might have finally gotten him over his diet soda cravings! Woo hoo! I've been trying to get him off diet soda for years. Katie: That stinks about the cheese! It's crazy how something you think would be so minor could have such an effect! Ramona: You cracked me up with this comment: "I will have melted cheese on the top, I am not a barbarian." And I loved reading your NSVs!

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

I have meal plans, too, if you're interested. I did the meal plan in the Whole 30 book for the first week, and then I made my own. You're more than welcome to them if you want to PM me your email address. About 99% of my recipes were either from Pinterest or the book, and I notated where they came from. If they aren't notated, I either just threw them together or it was a recipe I had at home (I think there were one or two, but I can notate those).

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

WE DID IT!!!!! Congrats to all of us! NSVs: 1. I cut WAY back on my snacking. I used to snack all the time. I still do a little bit of it, but I've probably cut out about 80%. 2. I have absolutely no craving at this moment. I'm not DYING to have anything I haven't had for the last 30 days, including sugar! (I think this one is especially huge for me.) 3. I feel good about myself and what I'm putting into my body. I feel like I'm taking care of myself and really honoring my body for the first time...in maybe forever. 4. WAY less digestive issues! 5. I loved being on a "diet" where I could eat enough food to make myself full. I feel like I lost a good amount of weight for not counting calories, fat, or anything else, and not working out at all other than an occasional walk with the stroller. 6. I agree with Katie that homemade condiments are amazing! Much better than the store-bought ones. I will be making W30 mayo and ranch dressing forever! I was going to have wine and a cadbury egg tonight, and now I don't even know if I will. Like Katie, I'm going to maybe just keep going with this and see how things go.

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

Day 30, y'all! I was getting a little teary catching up on the posts and knowing it's our last day. I hope y'all keep posting. You're my little Whole30 family! I think we might as well just keep up on this thread, since everyone is already used to going here. Katie: Thanks for the suggestions on making cooking easier. I agree with you on the steamed veggies and grilling. I need to talk my husband into buying a gas grill. We have a Big Green Egg and a charcoal one, and neither are that convenient. I'm making the crockpot carnitas today that you've made. I can't wait to try them! I'm guessing that's going to make a bunch of servings! CGinDC: That stinks about the beer, although I have to admit that while I was pregnant, I partook in a drink every now and then. I think in the USA we worry about stuff way too much. I feel the same way about sushi. If it's from a trusted, clean place, you're not likely to get sick from it, and, if you do, it's just going to be normal food poisoning, which does not cross over the placenta, as opposed to listeria, which can cross over the placenta. Risks for listeria I took very seriously (lunch meat). But there are other people who think lunch meat is fine. You just have to do what's right for you! Have y'all tried Kombucha? I've found that it's a decent replacement for wine. It's not quite as sweet as other non-alcoholic drinks, and it has that sort-of vinegary flavor. Not sure if it's safe during pregnancy, though. Muez: I love your very detailed reintroduction plan. I hope my reintro goes ok, given I'm going to have wine and chocolate tomorrow, then back to W30 on Thursday, and then potentially a free for all starting Friday, since we're going out of town and won't be cooking W30, so we'll have to see what we can find to eat in restaurants. Congrats to everyone for making it the whole 30 days! We're awesome!

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

Hi, everyone! This board is bumping today! I've been super busy at work today, which is a good and bad thing. I can't believe tomorrow is the LAST DAY! I want to keep eating Whole30 (at least at home) after tomorrow, but I really need to figure out how to reduce the amount of time spent meal planning/prepping/shopping. I'm someone who normally cooks dinner 4-5 days/week, but it still has felt like an incredible amount of extra time. Although, every week seems to be a little less time doing those things. Maybe it won't seem so bad if I'm not doing it for every single meal. I just wish it were easier to eat out. Katie, what do you order at Five Guys? I hadn't even thought of that as a possibility. I hate to say it, but I'm really ready to weigh myself on Wednesday morning. I'm just trying to set my expectations where I don't get super bummed if the number on the scale isn't what I want it to be. I wish I only cared about the NSVs, but I secretly (or not so secretly since I'm admitting it now) care what the scale says.

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

CGinDC: Congratulations! That's the best news! katie: Thanks for the recipes! Can't believe we're on Day 28! I'm looking forward to wine and a Cadbury egg this week .

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

Thanks for all the well wishes! I'm feeling a little better, but my husband isn't feeling well again. At least our son seems to be better! ksea: Blueberry bbq sauce? Yum! You must have some serious willpower to make danish and resist it! katie: Loved, loved, loved the cabbage rolls! The Paleo chicken fingers sound good. Where did you find that recipe? CGinDC: I'm sorry to hear about the results of the genetic testing. That's great that you're staying positive. There are so many ifs with a pregnancy, but most of them produce 100% healthy babies. I think having a positive attitude is all you can do, and you're already doing that. I made the Thai Grapefruit Salad (without the dried shrimp) from Mel Joulwan's website, and my husband said it might be his favorite Whole30 dish yet. Day 27 is almost over. Great job everyone!

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

Ugh, I woke up not feeling so great yesterday morning and hoped it was just allergy symptoms, since I had missed my dose of Flonase on Wednesday. Nope, it's a cold! So, I'm home sick from work today trying to rest up and get better! And I just finished my meal plan for next week. Since we're going to the Okefenokee Swamp on Friday for Easter weekend, I just continued W30 meals through Thursday, but I will be going out to dinner with friends on Wednesday, and I'm sure I won't be eating W30 then, but I'm going to try to not go overboard. That's pretty much my husband's and my plan for reintroduction. Just don't go overboard. I know it's not very intentional, like the one in the book, but we wanted to be able to do what we wanted when we went out of town on our mini-vacation. Since we know we want to do another W30 in a few months, we figured we'd do the official reintroduction after that one. It would be great if we could all do our next W30 together. katie: I'm making the cabbage rolls tonight for dinner. I'm so excited! jen c: The stuffed peppers sound awesome! And thanks for the tip on making the whole chicken in the crockpot. CGinDC: You've convinced me to try the burgers! I'm pinning them now. Hope y'all have a great Friday!

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

ksea: Just watched the video! That's crazy! Do you get nervous/scared when your husband is out there? It's like The Perfect Storm!

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

katie: I totally thought the same thing about it maybe being creepy, but I'm glad you don't think it is. I was kind of hoping we'd all continue posting on this forum even after our Whole 30 to talk about how reintroduction is going. Thanks, Ramonax. I don't have a roasting pan. Would a glass baking dish work ok?

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

I'll have to look for sauerkraut in the can. I didn't even know you could get it in a can! The russian dressing sounds SO good. Did you make the ketchup from the book to use it in, or did you find a compliant store-bought one? I have the Tessamae's, which I might just use to save a step. If you do come to Charleston, I'd love to meet you!

    Hi all! Starting Feb 22nd!

Happy St. Patty's Day! And happy day 25! Where did the time go?!? I have corned beef cooking in the slow cooker right now. It's the recipe we've always made (and love!), but with chicken stock instead of the beer and sans brown sugar. I hope it's still good! I'm probably only like 1/8th or less Irish, but I LOVE St. Patty's Day! I'll definitely miss the drinking celebrations this year...but not the hangover afterwards . CGinDC: Those burger balls sound great, but were they a ton of work? It looks like a lot of steps. I LOVE parsnip fries. I just made them for the first time last week, and I'm sad that parsnips are going out of season now . ksea: Fresh salmon sounds so yummy! Thanks for sharing the video! That's really funny that you craved kiwis when you were pregnant. I craved cinnamon rolls. Everywhere we went, if there was a cinnamon roll, I tried it! Have you ever heard of breastmilk popsicles? I never made them, but I think you just get small popsicle molds and freeze breastmilk in them. You can find Pinterest pins and stuff online about making them. If your baby likes cold, I would try them. I've heard they're great for teething. I would suggest that over a bottle, if you enjoy breastfeeding. Don't want to mess that up! Ramonax: That sounds so good! I've never roasted a chicken. Do you have a recipe? I'd love to try it. katie: Charleston is only about 2 hours from Savannah. If you've never been, you have to visit. You'd love it! As for continuing, I hope it works out. I hope I don't have pasta or bread or cheese and fall back into my old bad eating habits. But I really don't think I'm going to. I'm not even craving any of those things. We can do it! Your breakfast looks SO cute! How did it turn out? I'm definitely making those cabbage rolls with our leftover corned beef. I tell my husband to get a 2-3 lb. corned beef, and he gets a 5.5 lb one! So I'm sure there will be plenty of leftovers! Were you able to find complaint sauerkraut? I haven't looked yet, but my friend bought some, and hers had sulfites. It was in a bag. I'm wondering if maybe the stuff in a jar would be better? TerraZ: Are you psyched for the games?? I just filled out my bracket. I don't pay TOO much attention to college bball, but I like the tournament. I kind of pay attention by default, because my husband is a huge NC State fan. Who's your team?
