Day 30! Yup, we made it! Not sure what tomorrow will bring! A gentle reintroduction for sure! I have some social events coming up but do not feel anxious that I will be tempted to slip at all. How is everyone doing?

Entering the last week and no tiger blood! That’s ok, there are definitely other NSVs. I am planning a slow reintroduction and for the most part staying with the program. I don’t have any food allergies or intolerances so I definitely want to bring back some items like yoghurt, beans, pasta every once in a while. I am thinkink weekly 5 days W30 and two days off plan! The one thing that I am not reintroducing is anything with yeast - yeast just drains my energy. We had a business event yesterday and they served a bunch of sweet amazing baked goods, I walked by them and appreciated how yummy and aesthetically beautiful everything was however was not tempted in the least to have something - huge NSV. The sugar demon is under control, and I plan to keep it chained up! Entering the last week I fell good - not excellent - good! I am hopeful that with spring, sun, fresh air and more outdoor activities my body will wake up and catch up with my alert mind! Happy last week to those of you on my schedule!

I cool the broth and then just pour into sturdy ziplock bags and freeze. Day 21 - 9 more days and then a slow reintroduction! I miss yoghurt and rice. My sugar demon is under control but I am still super tired. My meals are pretty big with plenty of healthy fats - I think my work situation is just too stressful at this point and is causing the fatigue. It is harder this Lent because Easter is so early. Last year with a late Easter, Spring was in full bloom and there was a variety of produce available. This year we are covered in 1.5 meters of snow and freezing temps so produce availability is slim. So jealous of those of you who have so much variety and some ready-to-go W30 compliant products. Have a wonderful day everyone!

I will try - though I will have to adjust to availability of ingredients and personal taste, I don’t like mushrooms and not I don’t think fish sauce is compliant - besides difficult to find in my neck of the woods. So glad you are managing with the challenges life is dealing out. I am inspired by everyone’s story and your victories and challenges make me feel less alone and confident that I too can do this. Sleeping is not an issue however I still get super tired around 8 pm and can barely keep my eyes open. I do have more energy during the day, a clearer head, more focus and my clothes fit much better. I have found that I have a wait, ha, ha, ha!

Good morning from the other side of the world. Day 16! Over the midway hump! I want to congratulate everyone on their success and give a hug to those struggling. It has been tough for me these days so I haven’t had much time to check in. We have had lots of snow and a Siberian cold front passing through Croatia and other parts of Europe. I have been shoveling snow and helping my parents with supplies (they got snowed in - access roads blocked). After work we loaded up and hiked through the snow to get them the essentials. The whole30 is going well. Don’t feel as many NSVs as I did the first two times - Melissa says this is normal. I have resigned myself to eggs every morning. Blah! My stomach refuses to adapt to soup, salad etc. at 5:30 am! Eggs work! I am still feel super tired - that may be from a super busy and stressful time at work - one wonders what I would feel like if I was running on pasta and sugar! Wishing everyone a great day!

I think your attitude is amazing! I would probably be castigating myself for weeks. You are right failure is always an opportunity! I also have the peeing issue. Not so much at night but during the day. I am a teacher and even though I normally drink a lot of water I am able to make it through my classes and go to the toilet during breaks. Since starting the Whole30, I have to go all the time. I have no idea what is going on. Yesterday was a super hard day! My daughter b-day! I baked brownies and cookies and in the evening we had family and guests. I was a good hostess and serves some finger food (mostly non-compliant) and poured wine all evening! My husband and I sat there with our herbal tea being strong! It was tough, but we made it. When everyone left we had a big compliant dinner! Success! The good thing was that our friends and fam our totally supportive of our whole30 so there was no teasing, nudging or questions!

I made chocolate chip cookies and brownies for my daughter today, almost licked my fingers a couple of times, but caught myself before it was too late.

Day 11 has dawned for me! Breakfast is leftover turkey/ veggie patties, avocado and banana with Turkish coffee - black! Lunch will be a whole30 compliant moussaka. Dinner not sure yet! Today is also shopping day for the week - I have to plan out my meals and prepare my shopping list. Tomorrow is my daughter’s 12th birthday and she is having some friends over. This will require some cooking and baking for the munchkins. Not looking forward to those temptations, but I am confident I will make it. NSVs - sleeping better, an overall lighter feeling, clothes fitting better, my aches have decreased, cleared head! Nothing huge and tremendous but a few small victories.

I tried it! It was delicious! It definitely helped to have a non-egg day. I made a huge frittata and was able to do eggs again. I just need one day a week to be a non-egg day to give myself a break. I also tried having some broccoli and cauliflower in the morning without the eggs but with some turkey patties and avocado. It as a struggle. Definitely easier to eat and digest cold than warming it up. Powering through. Thanks everyone for the tremendous support with my breakfast battles.

@ShannonM816 Thanks for the suggestion, however I think you missed my previous posts. It’s not the sugar or sweet I am craving, in fact I don’t enjoy sweet food at all, I just cannot have eggs every morning. I am well aware that for breakfast I can eat anything however psychologically my mind sends a “I am going to throw up” signal to my body at even the though of soup or cooked veggies at 5:30 in the morning. I am just looking for options besides eggs that won’t make my stomach turn first thing in the morning. It is also extremely difficult for me to follow most of the recipes offered because I live in Zagreb, Croatia - small country on the Adriatic and availability of compliant food and ingredients is very limited. Mostly seasonal with a little variety here and there - since it is winter fruits and veggies are very limited. Thanks for your suggestions I will definitely try some. On a more positive note - week one SUCCESS!

@LisaLeeO amazing recipe! Thank you for sharing! I will try it for breakfast tomorrow.

@Fernsk I am so sorry for your water troubles. Hang in there. I can hardly imagine what you were dealing with. No water is my worst nightmare! @ShannonM68 I can relate in so many ways. I too try out some recipes every so often however I prefer simple. My kids are not doing the W30 so I adjust their meals. It is a struggle! Thank you everyone for the breakfast ideas. I made some turkey + veggie patties and had those for breakfast with avocado and a banana. It was a battle but I ate the plateful.
  13. Lenten Whole30 2/14-4/1

I know I can eat anything, the issue is that my head sends my stomach “disgust” signals to any food that is not “breakfast food” I wake up at 5 every morning so breakfast is early for me and my body just has a difficult tim handling non-breakfast foods that early. @angledge I am going to try the casserole - thanks!

Good morning Day 6! First week almost done. I am doing quite well. Except for all the food prep. Bodywise I am great! Starting to feel in my clothes that my body is going through some changes. I also seem to be going to the toilette to pee ver often. I usually drink a lot of water so I have not made changes in that respect but it seems to be making its way through my body much faster. i had last week off from work and today is my first day back. Some things will be easier - too busy to snack, however I will have much less time for grocery shopping and food prep. I need some breakfast ideas that do not include eggs. Please help. Have a great day all!

Good morning! Day 4 started off with me already sick of eggs. Ugh! Lunch today will be pork chops with oven roasted veggies, dinner leftover veggies and turkey breast grilled and mixed salad. I have dried sour cherries, almonds, hazelnuts, banana, apple, pineapple, pomelo available to have with each meal. The hardest thing for me is all the food prep. I love cooking and my kitchen is my haven! But I also have a full time job and two kids (one pre-teen, which is exhausting on its own) and I like to work out. Spending hours in the kitchen prepping is just too much. I know I can do it, and I know I will feel better and be healthier but it takes a lot of time. Sorry for the rant. Hoping everyone has a good day!
