wow I thought this forum was for support! you censor my posts because i choose to weigh myself! I don't see you taking your black marker to the posts that mention eating improperly as i have been reading of bacon flavoured crackers and yogurt. Selective Censorship I guess.

well we are almost done! I have been totally food compliant but not always eating as much veggies as I could Today B= 3 scrambled eggs, 2 bacon, 2 cups of spinach and some tomatoes L = left over steak, mixed greens and spinach salad Lara bar d = chicken breast cooked in lemon, garlic and pepper, new potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob and cantaloupe for desert. three days left**mod edit to remove scale discussion**. Will start reintroducing grains first cause that is the only thing I am really missing.

June 1st 2016! DO or DIE right?!?!

I am holding the course. I have lost 8 pounds and do feel thinner/lighter but not a lot of energy. I am still waiting for that to kick in! I have had more cravings day 16-18 than the whole first 15 days. I have stayed compliant but maybe not such a huge change for my body as I rarely have dairy, only occasional and mainly non-gluten grains and rarely have legumes (except string beans) and alcohol only when I go on vacation so the only 'habit' I am kicking is sugar, I do like the baked goods! whole30 is teaching me to eat my veggies which I can tend to let slip, even though I know that is what takes the weight off. Will make it through the 30 days - might not bother with the re-introducing stage but return to the fast metabolism diet to shake it up. Found I had much more energy with that diet. 28 days of FMD and that will be 2 months of retraining my sugar habit.

Hi Suzibeck, sorry to hear! I am getting to the point where I am tired of the restrictions and actually having more cravings and cheating thoughts the last few days. I can honestly say that I have been 99.999% on track as far as compliance to food, though some days I am a little short on veggies. I don't feel any more energetic than before, have lost weight but I would think the amount of calories that is now out of my diet would have to do that. I have done the fast metabolism diet and felt healthier on it. Though like you I want to quit, I figure that I have past the half way point so I am just going to power through. I don't know if I will go through the re-introduction phase, as I rarely ate dairy, occasional greek yogurt, legumes and grains only a couple times a week. Sugar is my thing and now that I am looking for it on every package I see that it is everywhere, not just in my cookies! So I will finish my 30 days and then go back to the fast metabolism diet. meals getting very repetitive gotta get out of this breakfast rut. Most every day is scrambled eggs with veggies, bacon and piece of fruit lunch is usually some version of chicken and salad dinner will be protein veggies, salad, and sometimes potato. Find myself always hungry from 3pm till dinner which will sometimes be as late as 8pm (work retail). So will sometimes have a snack usually raw veggies sometimes a LARA bar. Try to get 90 ounces of water but sometimes only 72. 17 days and lost 7 pounds but 5 was at day 7 so only 2 in last 10 days

June 1st 2016! DO or DIE right?!?!

I can officially say that I am now hating eggs! COuldn't get down my three scrambled eggs this morning so now what. Made my dog happy though! SO i guess it is meat for breakfast lunch and dinner. Don't know if I can make it though week 2 so I guess if my choice is do or die, I might be choosing die!

Well it is official - I now hate eggs! Started gagging as I tried to eat my scrambled eggs this morning. Dog enjoyed them. I am not getting any of this extra energy that is supposed to be happening. Not sleeping well at night so hard to get out of bed in the morning. Finding I am also getting muscle cramps (charlie horse) mostly in my legs, can't take magnesium because the powder I use has stevia in it. All in all I am finding this diet is more work than it seem to be worth. Lost 4.5 pounds in the first 5 days and nothing since YES I weighed myself to see if there is any reason to be going through this pain. I think the weight loss is mostly due to having diarrhea for the first 5 days. Not a healthy weight loss. I am going grocery shopping today to stock the fridge with more veggies and meat but it is not looking good. My resolve is dwindling and unless my energy increases and my food choices get easier I will be out in week 2. Yesterdays food B= scrambled eggs with peppers, tomatos l = green salad with cukes, peppers, tomatoes, chicken and bacon (fast food bought so not sure if there was sugar in the bacon, starting not to care) d= new york steak, broccoli, salad, baked potato snack - watermelon today b-scrambled eggs (maybe 1 = dog got the other two) cukes, tomato, yellow peppers. L= meeting friend so will find some salad with chicken for lunch. d= ? have to go shopping

Tytbodyin30 - here is a quote from "how to do the perfect whole30' If you find yourself cracking out on (approved) nut butter or fruit one day, no harm, no foul. Just realize you’re probably trying to satisfy a craving, and make a plan to do something different the next time you’re stressed. If you accidentally ate something off-plan (despite your best efforts!), it’s okay. Lesson learned, either start over or just move on—it’s always up to you. If you can’t afford organic or grass-fed at this time, you’re still nourishing your body with whole, healthy foods, and that’s something you should be immensely proud of. So that being said you can certainly continue on if you choose. Maybe reread the rules and know that you cannot eat a burger with bun or commercial french fries. Keep going maybe add 4 days at the end when it will be easier then you will be even! Feel good about what you have accomplished and your gallant efforts. - See more at: http://whole30.com/2014/01/perfect-whole30/#sthash.aDtZntsr.dpuf

socalmama! Glad for you I am actually finding it harder the last two days. I did the fast metabolism diet for the 21 days and hated the meat and veggie two day phase - I would get myself through saying its only 2 days and look forward to the next 5. I am starting to feel the same way about this diet as all this protein and veggies are wearing me down. The fruit is nice and does help but you ain't supposed to be eating much of that! Not missing dairy or legumes as they weren't big in my life but I am finding everything has sugars in it. I have some lovely chicken bacon that is nitrate-free but has sugar. Pulled out some cold cuts and it too has cane sugar, even half of my spices have sugar in it! I am feeling a little starved these days! Went to a 4 hour meeting this morning and the snacks they had out was brownies cookies and pretzels. I didn't have the slightest urge to eat any, but as we were hitting the 3 1/2 hour mark I was getting hungry and even a fruit or veggie plate would have helped but nothing in sight to eat. Yesterday morning I couldn't stand the thought of eggs again so only had a salad and almonds for breakfast. But good news, made it one more day. I need to get out and start reading some labels for things that I can actually eat. B= scrambled eggs with green onions, peppers and coconut milk-banana smoothie L = starbucks hard boiled egg and fruit box D= chicken breast green beans and spaghetti squash Thanks for letting me vent everyone!

June 1st 2016! DO or DIE right?!?!

Well day 3 on its way out and I am feeling pretty good. Definitely less bloat, just feel lighter (but can't weigh in ). I have been hungry in the evenings and having a piece of fruit. I might try eating dinner later to see if that will solve that. First night my stomach was growling while trying to go to sleep so last night I had a banana when the hunger came on. so here is what I ate today - it is getting a little boring! B = scrambled eggs, tomatos, spinach L = Chicken breast, watermelon D = Wendys chicken apple pecan salad (no cheese or sugared pecans) with my own dressing Wonder if I am getting enough calories and I have to incorporate more good fats. Thanks for the links to that!

well day 2 was pretty uneventful. breakfast = scrambled eggs with orange peppers, fruit salad lunch = chicken breast green beans dinner = pork loin, broccoli, watermelon & cantaloupe water - 72 oz - a little low mild headache = diet or work?? feel okay no real challenges yet, well maybe the occasional craving that last a couple of minutes. I chug some water when I get the cravings and it does alleviate them. Now bed and face day 3!

    June 1sters Check-in

SO first day went well. I am going to be missing the greens though! So Breakfast - scrambled eggs with peppers, tomatoes and spinach. Coffee and 24 oz of water. Snack - red pepper and tomatoes Lunch - 1 skewer of chicken and 1 beef. Peach Dinner - Chicken breast green beans and half baked potato Might fit in a snack of watermelon and cantaloupe later Total water at 8:30pm = 72 oz only 16 left to go! Hope everyone had a great start to this journey. It is a great time to eat healthy, all the local fruits and veggies just starting to come to market! yum! Remember to drink your water!
