    My first time around I was bloated for the first 2 weeks if not 3 weeks! The moderator said it's because your body is adjusting and adapting to something very different and new and it just takes time to adjust and for your gut to heal and for inflammation to go down. So don't get discouraged!I also was eating mostly broccoli and cauliflower as veggies which make you bloat more so I switched to bell peppers and green beans mostly and that helped a lot.
    Love reading all the posts. Day 2 everyone! I love marking off each day on my calendar, it goes by fast! I'm doing good so far, I do have a headache this morning which I'm sure is part of the hangover phase, but I know it will pass soon. The first few weeks are tough, but it's so worth it to keep pushing through!

    It looks like you need a lot more healthy fats! That's what keeps you satisfied I would add avocado to breakfast, olives to the salad and more extra veggies not just lettuce, dinner looks good, maybe add some ghee to the veggies.
    Yeah I agree you don't want to eat a big meal right before bed, but it's important to eat something to help recovery. I would say a hard boiled egg or chicken and some sweet potatoe at the least?

    Just want to help - whole30 encourages that we don't use fruit as snacks because it will keep our sugar dragon wanting more. They say it's okay to include some fruit with a meal though, but if you need a snack fresh veggies would be best! I usually bring cut up bell peppers with me in case I need it. But I try to make my 3 meals filling enough that I don't need snacks - that's the goal!
    Day one going great so far for me. Just had a large healthy breakfast and feeling good! Hope everyone has a great day 1!!!
    Also, I know water is boring, so I do infused water, so I have a pitcher that I put cucumber and strawberry or Lemons and Limes in- makes the water taste more interesting and refreshing! I also love sparkling water like la croix

    Hi group! This will be a support group for whole30 starting on July 25th! This will be my 2nd whole30. My first one was through the month of June and I absolutely loved it and learned a ton!!! But I've found that not having the strict rules anymore has led me back to my old very bad eating habits and I miss feeling good and healthy like I did on whole30, so I want to do it again! I'm excited to see what I learn this time around. I am a 26 year old pretty active person, but my husband eats unhealthy and it's easy to fall into our binging together on deliciousness! During my first whole30 I lost 8 lbs and felt the best I've ever felt in my life, and I want that back! So, anyone else starting July 25th please share about yourself and why you're embarking on this journey! I'm so excited to go through it with you all!

    It's good to know what to expect and what's normal! It will be interesting to see how everyone compares to it! Last time I was pretty close to all the stages, but none of them felt as extreme as it sounded, they were more mild including tiger blood. We'll see what this go-around has in store!!! Good luck everyone, we're in this together!

    I'm so excited to see so many people on here! This will be a great group! I agree I needed the support from the forums my first time around and I believe posting daily and reading other posts really helped in my success. I think it's great we have a mix of first timers and experienced people, so we'll be able to help with questions!
    Vancy- after reading your post I'm inspired to make my own list of more specific goals as well for this time around, thanks for the inspiration! I want my second go at this to be even better than the first!
    My goals for round 2:
    1) Gym/yoga/or jogging 3-5 days a week
    2) Be more prepared. Grocery shopping and meal prep every 4 days.
    3) No fruit after dinner (1st time around I was using fruit like a bowl of watermelon for dessert and I know that's why my sugar cravings never really stopped)
    4) Try 1 new recipe a week
    5) Do a proper reintroduction (I also failed on reintroduction, it's hard not to go crazy with food after you start to taste them again)
    6) Post in forums daily
    I seriously love whole30 and I can't wait to start it again! I hope everyone has read the book because the book really motivates me, I try to read a few pages every day to stay motivated!

    The Whole30 book is about how to do the program with a smattering of "why".
    It Starts With Food is all about the "why" and how the body works and how foods interact with your body.  If you like knowing how things work and the logic behind the rules, definitely read ISWF.

    I just got back from a weekend in Vegas celebrating my best friend's 30th birthday! It was a blast, but impossible to eat whole 30 so everything went out the window this weekend. Needless to say I'm not feeling too good today! It's going to be hard to get back after all the delicious things I ate this weekend, but I feel ready to as well because I feel pretty bad!

    I'm doing good so far! I reintroduced dairy yesterday- had some cheese on my salad and burger! So far I feel fine, we'll see how the next few days go. I like eating template in between, it helps me stay on track. I really don't want to go back to my old eating habits, that's why I'm still not eating added sugar. I was tempted with the cookies the last few days, but I stayed strong. Gotta keep my sugar dragon starved!

    I'm right there with you JTCarlson! My one glass of wine with friends turned into 3! And this morning I feel like I got hit by a truck! Horrible headache and feeling overall just really bad and bloated. Do you think it's the wine itself, or because I had too much? I didn't eat anything off plan, the wine was the only new thing. Not loving today...

    You're definitely welcome, but we all just finished whole30 and are staying together for reintroduction. You're more than welcome to stay! There are also groups for people starting at the same time you are under the join whole 30 tab

    I love the name June Bugs 2016 Pressing On! SO great tytbody!!!!! I vote that one! As well as a million NSVs I lost 8 lbs!!!! That's two lbs a week! I'm definitely keeping at this! Today my husband and i are getting massages and then sharing a nice bottle of wine to celebrate :-)
